Negative attitude.... desert.... seed....

The negative attitude towards the work of the divine spirit corresponds entirely to a barren region, a desert. The soil cannot provide nourishment for any plant and therefore nothing can grow unless industrious labourers dare to cultivate the soil, which requires unspeakable patience and perseverance and, not least, blessing from above. It is the same with people to whom the gospel is constantly preached, but where it falls on stony ground.... because everything that divine love sends to such people is ignored and cannot reach the soul until the lord's labourers arrive and prepare the ground with the greatest effort, patience and love to receive the seed that is to bear a thousandfold fruit.... The human mind is like a barren wasteland, turned solely towards earthly life but averse to everything spiritual. And the sun, whose rays are life-awakening, can shine incessantly, it will never succeed in bringing forth a plant from the stony rubble...., just as a person's highest spiritual knowledge would not suffice to want to transfer it to a rejecting, unprepared human being who accepts the divine words indifferently but never ponders them deep in his heart...., which is the field that is to receive the seed.... ponders. And so it is hard work, and yet it must be tackled.... all labourers who are in the service of the lord must work to ensure that the fallow ground is made fertile, and the creator's love for His creatures must be held up to them with unspeakable patience until they lend a hand of their own accord and endeavour to ensure that the divine seed continues to spread. And this will sprout forth very delicately and will overgrow all previously lifeless and dead rock, and the labour, love and patience of the workers will be blessed, for new life will arise from the former desert of ignorance. And the lord will bless the labourers who, for His sake, undertook the unspeakably great work and thereby led so many souls to knowledge and who, although their work seemed almost hopeless, did not tire and reclaimed barren, unfruitful land.... i.e. conveyed true knowledge to ignorant, God-rejecting people and thus contributed to the fact that those people no longer remained dead and lifeless in spirit....

부정적인 자세. 사막. 씨.

하나님의 영의 역사에 대한 부정적인 태도는 전적으로 모두 황량한 지역인 사막에 해당한다. 사막은 어떤 식물에게도 양분을 제공할 수 없다. 그러므로 부지런한 일꾼이 감히 사막을 비옥하게 만들지 않는 한, 아무 것도 자랄 수 없다. 이런 일은 말할 수 없는 인내와 끈기와 최종적으로 위로부터 오는 축복이 필요하다. 이런 일은 마찬가지로 복음이 끊임없이 전해지는 사람에게도 적용이 된다. 그러나 복음이 돌밭에 떨어지면, 하나님의 사랑이 그런 사람에게 주는 모든 것은 무시를 당하고, 주의를 기울임 받지 못하고, 주님의 일꾼들이 도착하여, 가장 큰 노력과 인내와 사랑으로 천 배의 열매를 맺을 씨를 받아드릴 땅을 준비할 때까지 혼에게 도달할 수 없다.

단지 유일하게 이 땅을 삶을 향하는, 모든 영적인 것을 싫어하는 인간의 생각은 황량한 사막과 같다. 사막에는 생명을 깨어나게 하는 태양의 빛이 끊임없이 비친다. 태양의 빛이 절대로 돌이 많은 자갈더미에서 식물이 자라게 하는 일을 성공시키지 못할 것이다. 마찬가지로 가장 높은 영적 지식을 가진 사람도 하나님의 말씀을 거부하고, 무관심하게 받아드리지만, 씨를 받아드려야 하는 밭인 심장으로 절대로 깊게 받아드리고 하지 않는, 준비되지 않은 인간의 존재에게 영적 지식을 전해주는 일을 할 수 없다.

그러므로 이 일은 힘든 일이다. 그러나 시도해야만 한다. 주님을 섬기는 모든 일꾼들이 휴경지가 비옥하게 되도록 노력해야만 한다. 일꾼들은 말할 수 없는 인내심으로 그들에게 그들 자신이 스스로 손을 대고, 하나님의 씨를 확산시키려고 노력할 때까지 피조물을 향한 창조주의 사랑을 알려줘야만 한다. 씨앗은 매우 부드럽게 싹이 트고, 이전에 생명이 없던 죽은 돌들을 덮을 정도로 자랄 것이다. 일꾼의 수고와 사랑과 인내가 축복을 받을 것이다. 왜냐하면 새 생명이 전에 무지의 사막에서 새로운 생명이 태어날 것이기 때문이다.

주님은 주님을 사랑하여 말할 수 없게 큰 일을 수행하고, 이를 통해 아주 많은 혼들을 지식으로 깨달음으로 인도한 일꾼들을 축복할 것이다. 비록 그들의 일이 거의 절망적으로 보였지만, 그들은 지치지 않고, 경작할 수 없는 불모의 땅을 경작할 수 있게 만들었다. 다시 말해 하나님을 거부하는 무지한 사람들에게 참된 지식을 전함으로써 그런 사람들이 더 이상 영 안에서 죽은, 생명이 없는 상태로 머물지 않게 하는 일에 기여했다.
