Childlike relationship.... form prayer.... language of the heart....

Anyone who feels called to serve the lord and constantly asks for His grace is approached by the lord in every way, for he testifies to his will to work for God and thus also draws God's love through his will. And in prayer for strength he confesses his weakness before the lord, and his relationship with God is that of a child.... and the father in heaven asks for nothing more. Not for a single moment in his life on earth does such a child consider himself arrogant. With a humble and loving heart he is grateful to the father in heaven for every gift of grace and therefore remains a true child before God, Who protects him from every spiritual decline.... For once someone has entered into this right relationship with Him, he can no longer go astray, i.e. be spiritually arrogant towards the father in heaven. For through his humble plea for God's grace he attains wisdom, and all wisdom makes him regocnize the greatness of the father in heaven more and more and makes him ever more humble and desirous of love. And therefore all spiritual knowledge, all higher development and attainment of the state of perfection always has the human being's childlike relationship with the father as a prerequisite, and prayer in spirit and in truth is in turn the visible sign that the earthly child has entered into this relationship with the father. Yet the lord pays no attention to formal prayers, for they kill any feeling of love.... He cannot pray in spirit and in truth who uses prescribed words which do not come from the bottom of his heart, for they do not reflect his own thinking but the thinking of others.... The human being should express himself to the father in the most intimate bond with Him as his heart feels, he should truly regard the father as father and come to Him with all his little worries and concerns, and precisely this intimate contact (with the father) will trigger true devotion, and such a prayer will not be a mere form.... For God gave people the intellect for this purpose, that they should be active themselves and send their spirit upwards. If man makes use of a form, his heart does not speak to the father, but he again only fulfils a duty imposed on him, and this prayer cannot have the right value before God, since the father wants to be called upon as father and hear the voice of His child in the most childlike way.... simply, intimately and fully trusting in the love and omnipotence of the one to Whom the prayer is addressed....

Le rapport enfantin – la prière formelle - le langage du cœur

Qui se sent appelé à servir le Seigneur et demande incessamment Sa Grâce, le Seigneur s'approche de lui, parce que sa volonté cherche à agir pour Dieu et par conséquent à travers sa volonté il attire l'Amour de Dieu. Et dans sa prière pour obtenir la Force il confesse aussi sa faiblesse devant le Seigneur, et son rapport à Dieu est celui d'un fils, et le Père dans le Ciel n’exige pas davantage. Un tel fils ne se comporte même pas pour un instant dans sa vie terrestre comme un esprit arrogant. Il est reconnaissant au Père dans le Ciel avec un cœur humble et affectueux pour chaque apport de Grâce et par conséquent il reste un vrai fils devant Dieu qui le protège de toute rétrogradation spirituelle. Parce que celui qui est entré une fois dans ce juste rapport envers Dieu, ne peut plus s'égarer, c'est-à-dire être spirituellement arrogant au regard du Père dans le Ciel. Parce qu'à travers son humble prière pour la Grâce de Dieu il arrive à la Sagesse, et toute Sagesse fait toujours plus reconnaître la Grandeur du Père dans le Ciel et le rend toujours plus humble et désireux d'aimer. Et donc tout savoir spirituel, tout développement vers le Haut ainsi que l’accès à l'état de perfection a toujours pour point de départ le rapport enfantin de l'homme vers le Père, et la prière en Esprit et en Vérité est à nouveau le signe visible du fait que le fils terrestre est entré dans ce rapport envers le Père. Mais le Seigneur ne s'occupe pas de la prière formelle, parce que celle-ci tue tout sentiment d'amour. Celui qui se sert pour prier de mots écrits au préalable qui ne proviennent pas du plus profond du cœur, ne peut pas prier en Esprit et en Vérité, parce qu'il ne n’exprime pas ses propres pensées, mais des pensées étrangères. L'homme qui est dans une intime union avec le Père doit s’exprimer comme le lui suggère le sentiment de son cœur, il doit considérer le Père vraiment comme son Père et aller à Lui avec toutes ses petites préoccupations et affaires, et vraiment cette prise intime de contact (avec le Père) fera jaillir la vraie intériorité, et une telle prière ne sera pas une simple formalité, parce que Dieu a donné aux hommes l'intelligence, pour qu'eux-mêmes soient actifs et envoient leur esprit en haut. Si l'homme se sert d'une formule, son cœur ne parle pas au Père, mais il s'acquitte seulement d'un devoir qui lui incombe, et cette prière ne peut pas avoir une juste valeur devant Dieu, vu que le Père veut justement Être invoqué en tant que Père et entendre la voix de Son fils dans le mode enfantin, simple, sincère et plein de confiance envers l'Amour et l'Omnipotence de Celui vers lequel est tournée la prière.
