'Vengeance is Mine....' Revenge....

'Vengeance is Mine....' says the Lord.... and therefore you should not exact vengeance, instead you should make an effort to repay evil with good and not think about how you can revenge yourselves for the wrong done to you. For anyone who suffers injustice and never entertains vengeful thoughts is gentle minded and patient, and his will endeavours to eliminate injustice by doing nothing in order to obtain satisfaction for himself. And this is an immense advancement for the soul.... It is certainly very difficult to be unjustly treated and yet consider the enemy with love, nevertheless, it is extraordinarily beneficial.... The human being should always bear in mind that every feeling of revenge shrouds the soul in darkness, that it can never become light and clear in a human soul where there is still room for thoughts of revenging the evil done by the other person. For such thoughts will inevitably lead to feelings of unkindness and thus spiritual weakness. And the human being cannot be lovingly active if he does not put a stop to such thoughts in him. For animosity is a tribute to the opponent.... Anyone who lives in animosity with his neighbour has already granted the evil power every right over him. Every feeling of hatred and vengeance must be banished from the heart, for it will lead to other unclean thoughts, just as, vice versa, a devout and gentle character is only ever concerned about not doing wrong to anyone, and that all injustice must be left to the responsibility of the divine Lord Himself. For only the Lord can judge the blame of two partners and what gave rise to the enmity. So if in earthly life hatred and discord seem to prevail, the human being must especially try to eliminate these bad habits.... It is not enough for a person to anxiously avoid an argument.... he must aim to adapt himself to the other person where possible and change hostile feelings into the opposite. The success of such intention will be felt so indescribably beneficially, all hatred will end since love, gentleness and patience will take its place, and the person will experience an inner sense of satisfaction if he tries, where possible, to undo all injustice done to him with the weapon of love.... Love disarms all anger, vindictiveness and the urge for revenge.... Love reduced the feeling of suffering injustice and will never consider retribution, for it strives for spiritual perfection and for this every degrading thought has to be excluded first, and the Lord will take abode where the human being rises above himself and the heart has transformed itself to love, gentleness and patience, for this is the inevitable basic condition for the Lord to reveal Himself and thus also practise patience with His children.... Human revenge and retribution are not permissible where the soul wants to liberate itself from its chains.... therefore, hand everything over to the Lord, for He is pure Love Itself and will exact vengeance according to the law of love.... Likewise, you, too, should make an effort to practise love among each other and always and forever fulfil the Lord's will, Who cautions you against judging your fellow human beings' unkindness too harshly....

« La vengeance est Mienne », dit le Seigneur et donc vous ne devez exercer aucune rétorsion, vous devez plutôt vous employer pour payer le mal avec le bien et ne pas chercher comment vous pourriez renvoyer l'injustice qui vous est faite ; toute personne qui subit l'injustice et ne ressent aucune pensée de vengeance, est douce d’esprit et patiente, et sa volonté s’efforce de porter hors du monde l'injustice en ne faisant rien pour se procurer une satisfaction pour elle-même. Cela est un immense progrès pour l'âme. Il est certes très difficile d’être traité injustement, et de considérer l’ennemi avec amour, mais cela est outre mesure riche de bénédiction. L'homme doit toujours se rappeler que tout sentiment de vengeance enveloppe l'âme d'obscurité, et il ne peut jamais s’établir de Lumière et de Clarté dans l'âme d'un homme, là où il y a encore des pensées de rétorsion du mal fait par quelqu’un d’autre, parce que de telles pensées génèrent irrévocablement un sentiment de désamour et de faiblesse spirituelle. L'homme, qui donne prise à de telles pensées ne peut pas avoir un amour actif tant qu’il ne met pas un terme à ses pensées. L'animosité est un hommage à l'adversaire ; toute personne qui est habitée par l'animosité avec son prochain a déjà concédé beaucoup de droit au pouvoir du malin. Tout sentiment de haine et de vengeance doit être des banni du cœur, parce que cela a pour conséquence encore d’autres pensées impures, et inversement un caractère dévot et doux est seulement préoccupé par le fait qu’aucune injustice n’arrive à personne et que toute injustice doit être laissée au divin Seigneur Lui-même pour en apprécier la responsabilité ; parce que le Seigneur Seul peut juger de la responsabilité respective de deux opposants et de ce qui a donné lieu à l'animosité. Si donc dans la vie terrestre la haine et la discorde semble l’emporter l'homme doit prendre sur lui d'enlever du monde vraiment ces défauts. Il ne suffit pas que l'homme évite craintivement une dispute, il doit aussi chercher à s'adapter autant que possible à l'autre et à changer les sentiments hostiles en leurs opposés. Le succès d’une telle intention se fera sentir d’une façon incroyablement bénéfique. Toute haine sera remplacée par l’amour, la douceur de caractère et la patience et la personne éprouvera une sensation de satisfaction intérieure s’il essaie, autant que possible, d’annuler toute injustice qui lui est faite avec l'arme de l'amour. L'amour désarme toute colère, tout esprit de vengeance. L’amour réduit le sentiment de subir l'injustice et n’envisage jamais la vengeance, car il aspire à la perfection spirituelle, et pour cela toute pensée ignoble doit d'abord être exclue et le Seigneur prendra demeure là où l'homme se dépasse et a rempli son cœur d'amour, de douceur de caractère et de patience, parce que cela est inévitablement la Condition de base pour que le Seigneur Lui-même Se révèle et exerce aussi Sa Patience sur Ses fils. Là où l'âme veut se libérer de ses chaînes, la vengeance et le châtiment ne sont pas permis, donc remettez tout au Seigneur, parce qu'Il est Lui-même l’Amour pur et Il exercera la punition selon la Loi de l'Amour. De même vous aussi vous devez faire des efforts pour pratiquer l'amour réciproque et vous acquitter toujours et constamment de la Volonté du Seigneur, qui vous met en garde contre un jugement trop sévère sur les méchancetés de votre prochain.
