Monastic life?....

_(concerning a previous conversation)A natural limit has been set when the strength of resistance is threatening to wane, and then the soul can expect help if it is too weak to stand firm by itself. A woman’s purpose in life mainly involves caring and supportive work, and she receives her strength to do so in the same proportion as she is expressing her love, and thus a sphere of activity exists especially for the woman on earth which offers the soul ample opportunity to mature. There is no need to tightly limit her duties in order to live for the Lord’s pleasure in seclusion on earth. Anyone who wants to work to a greater extent in the service of neighbourly love will also be offered adequate opportunity for it in the outside world. It is therefore not especially beneficial for the soul if a field of duty is imposed on the person which is in fact conscientiously carried out but only as a kind of personal obligation.... under conditions which exclude a refusal or non-compliance of this fulfilment of duty, and therefore the work of loving service does not always correspond to the person’s free will. The will of the person who puts himself into such an obligatory situation may doubtlessly be good and his intention may well be to dedicate his life entirely to the Lord and Saviour, but he does not consider that everyone can utilise and develop his earthly life in the midst of worldly commotion and that he will be offered more than enough opportunities for active neighbourly love....

Vida monástica?.... (conversa precedida sobre isto)

Um limite é estabelecido pela natureza onde o poder da resistência ameaça afrouxar, e a alma tem de esperarajuda, por assim dizer, se for demasiado fraca para resistir por si só. O propósito da mulher na vida se estende principalmente a ser ativa em cuidar e cuidar, e ela recebe a força para isso na mesma proporção em que deixa o amor falar no processo, e assim a mulher em particular tem direito a uma esfera de atividade na Terra que oferece plenamente a oportunidade de deixar a alma amadurecer. E não há necessidade de uma delimitação estreita dos seus deveres para viver em reclusão na terra, a fim de agradar ao Senhor Deus. Quem quiser ser mais activo no serviço do amor ao próximo, também lhe são oferecidas oportunidades suficientes na sua vida livre e, portanto, não é particularmente bem sucedido para a alma se for imposto ao ser humano um círculo de deveres que, de facto, é conscienciosamente cumprido, mas sob uma espécie de compulsão auto-imposta, em condições em que se exclui a recusa ou o não cumprimento desse cumprimento do dever e, portanto, a actividade nas obras de amor nem sempre corresponde ao livre arbítrio do ser humano. Sem dúvida, a vontade de alguém que se coloca em tal estado de compulsão pode ser boa e a sua intenção de consagrar a sua vida inteiramente ao Senhor e Salvador, mas ele não considera o quanto todos podem usar e explorar a sua vida terrena no meio da azáfama do mundo e como ainda lhe são oferecidas oportunidades para o amor de vizinhança activa....
