Monastic life?....

_(concerning a previous conversation)A natural limit has been set when the strength of resistance is threatening to wane, and then the soul can expect help if it is too weak to stand firm by itself. A woman’s purpose in life mainly involves caring and supportive work, and she receives her strength to do so in the same proportion as she is expressing her love, and thus a sphere of activity exists especially for the woman on earth which offers the soul ample opportunity to mature. There is no need to tightly limit her duties in order to live for the Lord’s pleasure in seclusion on earth. Anyone who wants to work to a greater extent in the service of neighbourly love will also be offered adequate opportunity for it in the outside world. It is therefore not especially beneficial for the soul if a field of duty is imposed on the person which is in fact conscientiously carried out but only as a kind of personal obligation.... under conditions which exclude a refusal or non-compliance of this fulfilment of duty, and therefore the work of loving service does not always correspond to the person’s free will. The will of the person who puts himself into such an obligatory situation may doubtlessly be good and his intention may well be to dedicate his life entirely to the Lord and Saviour, but he does not consider that everyone can utilise and develop his earthly life in the midst of worldly commotion and that he will be offered more than enough opportunities for active neighbourly love....

수도원 생활? (이 전에 수도원 생활에 대한 대화가 이뤄졌음).

저항의 힘이 약화될 위험이 있는 한계가 자연에 의해 정해져 있다, 혼이 스스로 견디기에 너무 약하면, 혼은 도움을 기대할 수 있다. 여성의 삶의 내용은 대부분 적극적인 보살핌과 돌봄으로 되어 있다. 혼은 사랑이 역사하게 하는 정도로 혼에게 사랑을 행할 힘이 주어진다. 그러므로 이 땅의 여성들에게 전적으로 혼이 성숙해질 기회를 제공하는 일할 영역이 주어진다. 그러므로 이 땅에서 은둔하는 가운데 하나님을 기쁘게 하는 삶을 살기 위해 그들의 의무에 제한을 가할 필요가 없다.

이웃을 향한 사랑으로 더 많이 섬기는 일을 하기 원하는 사람에게는 자유 삶에서 충분한 기회가 주어진다. 그러므로 이제 인간에게 의무의 영역이 부과된다면, 그가 양심적으로 이 의무를 성취하게 될 것이지만, 그러나 의무 이행에 대한 거부나 또는 불이행을 할 수 없는 곳에서, 그러므로 사랑을 행하는 일이 항상 인간의 자유의지와 일치하지 않는 곳에서, 그러므로 일종의 자신을 강요하는 가운데 일하는 혼은 특별하게 성공을 하지 못한다. 의심할 여지가 없이 이런 강제된 상태에서 일하는 사람의 의지가 좋을 수 있고, 자신의 삶을 주님과 구세주께 완전히 바치려는 의도가 있을 수 있다. 그러나 모든 사람이 얼마나 광범위하게 각자의 이 땅의 삶을 활용할 수 있는지, 세상의 혼란 가운데 활용할 수 있는지, 얼마나 그에게 이웃사랑을 행할 기회가 제공되는지를 그는 생각하지 않는다.
