What is grace....

Desire divine grace and life will bring you fulfilment, for you will have matured in soul and spirit and will not have lived earthly life in vain. And those who are in the grace of God are to be called incomparably rich, even though their earthly life is rich in privations. For what they lack for the well-being of the body is often offered to them for the soul. It is unspeakably valuable to know that one is under divine protection, and whoever lives in grace is protected by the lord from every danger to his soul, and every gift of grace increases the person's spiritual capacity and brings the soul closer to its goal, the union with its spirit from God. How unspeakably poor, on the other hand, is the person who believes he can manage without divine grace; his life is empty in spiritual terms and he always walks on level ground but never ascends. For divine grace is the epitome of divine guidance.... He who asks for grace will not be left without it, and to receive divine grace means to be relieved of all personal responsibility, for the lord Himself takes His earthly child by the hand and leads it because it has confessed its will to Him and entrusted itself to Him.... "Take me and protect me, I want nothing other than to be led by You....", so your prayer shall resound in the spirit.... And the father in heaven will not let His child walk alone from now on. He will receive all strength, for this is the lord's grace, that He gives him what he lacks.... right realization, strong will and strength to carry out everything He asks of His earthly child. Thus, anyone who avails himself of grace will also be able to fulfil what is demanded of him, i.e. the body will take the soul's desire into account and this will no longer be directed towards earthly possessions and well-being but solely and exclusively towards its union with the divine spirit. And this is the effect of grace which everyone can observe in himself who implores the father in heaven for grace in fervent prayer. Grace is everything that helps you spiritually.... grace is every thought which is imparted to you and which points you upwards.... grace is every experience that touches you spiritually.... grace is the union of spiritually related people.... and grace is every word that reaches you from above.... Everything that helps you to separate yourselves from the world is divine favour, and you are to ask for it without ceasing, for it is at your disposal unmeasured, but your will must itself be directed towards it, and your heart must childlike humbly approach the father in heaven for it, then you will still achieve great things on earth, and your end will be a happy one....

은혜란 무엇인가?

하나님의 은혜를 갈망하라. 그러면 삶이 너희에게 성취를 줄 것이다. 너희 혼과 영이 성장하게 될 것이고, 이 땅의 삶을 헛되게 살지 않을 것이다. 하나님 은혜 가운데 거하는 일은, 비록 너희의 이 땅의 삶이 많은 궁핍함이 있다 할지라도, 비교할 수 없게 부유하다고 말할 수 있다. 왜냐하면 육체의 행복을 위해 육체에게 부족한 것을 대신해 혼을 위해 몇 배로 제공받기 때문이다.

자신이 하나님의 보호 아래 있음을 아는 일은 말할 수 없게 가치가 큰 일이다. 주님은 은혜 안에 사는 사람을 그의 혼의 모든 위험으로부터 지킨다. 모든 은혜의 공급은 사람의 혼이 활동할 수 있는 능력을 높이고, 혼이 하나님으로부터 온 자신의 영과 하나가 되는 목표에 가까이 가게 한다. 반면에 하나님의 은혜가 없이 살 수 있다고 믿는 사람들은 영적인 관점에서 얼마나 말할 수 없게 가난한가!

영적인 관점에서 그의 삶은 헛된 삶이다. 그는 항상 같은 수준으로 이 땅에서 살고, 절대로 높은 곳으로 향하지 않는다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 은혜의 본질은 하나님의 인도이기 때문이다. 은혜를 구하는 사람은 은혜를 받지 못하고 머물지 않게 될 것이다. 하나님의 은혜를 받는 일은 모든 자신의 책임을 벗는 일을 의미한다.

왜냐하면 주님 자신이 이 땅의 자녀가 주님을 향한 그의 의지를 고백하고, 주님께 자신을 의탁하기 때문에, 그의 손을 잡고 인도하기 때문이다. 너희는 영으로 "나를 받아 주시고, 보호해주소서, 저는 단지 주님의 인도를 받기 만을 원합니다. “ 라는 기도를 해야 한다. 이 때부터 하늘의 아버지가 자신의 자녀를 혼자 가게 하지 않을 것이고, 자녀는 모든 능력을 받게 될 것이다.

왜냐하면 주님이 자신의 이 땅의 자녀에게 부족한 올바른 깨달음과, 주님이 자녀들에게 요구하는 모든 것을 수행하기 위한 강한 의지와 능력을 주는 일이 주님의 은혜이기 때문이다. 그러므로 은혜를 활용하는 사람은 그의 육체도 육체가 받는 일을 수행할 수 있게 될 것이다. 다시 말해 육체가 혼의 갈망을 따르게 될 것이다.

혼의 갈망은 더 이상 세상적인 재물과 행복한 삶을 향하지 않고, 유일하게 단지 하나님의 영과 하나가 되는 일로 향할 것이다. 이런 역사는 긴밀한 기도로 하늘의 아버지에게 은혜를 간청하는 모든 사람이 자신에게서 관찰해볼 수 있는 은혜의 역사이다. 은혜는 너희에게 전해지는, 너희가 위를 향하게 알려주는 모든 생각이다. 은혜는 너희에게 영적인 감동을 주는 모든 체험이다. 은혜는 영적으로 하나가 된 사람들과 연합이다. 은혜는 위로부터 너희에게 주는 모든 말씀이다. 너희가 세상을 떠날 수 있게 도와주는 모든 것은 하나님의 은혜이다. 너희는 쉬지 않고 이 은혜를 구해야 한다.

왜냐하면 이 은혜가 너희에게 측량할 수 없게 제공되기 때문이다. 그러나 은혜를 향한 너희의 의지가 스스로 은혜를 구해야 만한다. 너희의 심장이 어린아이와 같은 겸손으로 하늘의 아버지에게 은혜를 구해야 만한다. 그러면 너희는 이 땅에서 큰 일을 이룰 수 있게 될 것이고, 너희는 마지막에 가서 축복을 받을 것이다.
