God's work of education.... spiritual inertia.... purpose of sufferings....

You, who still live on earth, are approaching a time which will be unspeakably painful for you and you will have to assert yourselves in the face of all the hardship you are destined to experience. What the creator of heaven and earth allows is only ever a means by which He wants to spare His living creations the spiritual suffering one day, which will have far more painful effects in the beyond and which the human being can avert if he humbly accepts the suffering on earth and emerges from it purified and matured in soul. Man in his short-sightedness, which is the result of faithlessness, cannot comprehend the work of education of the heavenly father. He grumbles and complains and is not infrequently inclined to deny an eternal deity altogether because the work of Him seems incomprehensible to him. And he does not recognize the love and patience of his creator Who has to choose this path because His loving admonitions and words from above are not listened to, and time has become ever more serious, the human being ever more sluggish in his spiritual work and only ever concerned with fulfilling earthly duties, regardless of how this fulfilment of duty affects the soul. Now the spiritual world must also be extremely active and must in turn give people on earth evidence of its activity in and around it. For man no longer finds the connection to his creator. A tremendous shaking of his principles of life must first force man to think again about his 'self ', his origin and his end. In a completely calm time there is only a greater danger of living in spiritual inertia, but where the human being is forced to carry burdens of whatever kind he ultimately asks himself what meaning underlies his whole life and which path he could take in order to be relieved of earthly worries and suffering. And then he will certainly timidly grasp the father’s hand which is lovingly offered to him and which first wants to snatch him from the spiritual hardship of the soul. This purpose is the only reason for all the coming time of suffering....

L'Œuvre d'éducation de Dieu - la paresse spirituelle - le but des souffrances

Vous qui marchez encore sur la Terre, vous allez à la rencontre d’un temps où vous attendent des souffrances indicibles, et vous devrez vous affirmer envers chaque difficulté qui vous est destinée. Ce que le Créateur du Ciel et de la Terre permet, est toujours seulement un moyen par lequel Il veut épargner à Ses créatures la souffrance animique qui est beaucoup plus douloureuse dans l'au-delà et que l'homme peut éviter lorsqu’il prend sur lui la souffrance terrestre et avec cela il est purifié et son âme en sort mûrie. L'homme dans sa myopie, qui a pour conséquence l'absence de foi, ne peut pas comprendre l'Œuvre d'Éducation du Père céleste. Il murmure et il se plaint et souvent il a tendance à nier totalement une éternelle Divinité, parce que l'Œuvre de Celle-ci lui semble incompréhensible. Et il ne reconnaît pas l'Amour et la Patience de son Créateur, lequel doit choisir ce moyen parce qu'il n'est donné aucune écoute à Ses affectueux Avertissements et Exhortations, et le temps devient toujours plus grave, l'homme toujours plus paresseux dans son travail spirituel et il entend toujours seulement exécuter ses devoirs terrestres, ce qui a pour effet la non-exécution du devoir sur l'âme. Maintenant le monde spirituel doit aussi s’activer d’une manière extrême et il doit donner à son tour la démonstration de le son action dans et autour de lui et aux hommes sur la Terre, parce que l'homme ne trouve plus le contact avec son Créateur. Un énorme ébranlement des fondations de sa vie doit forcer l'homme à nouveau à la réflexion sur son «moi», son début et sa fin. Dans une période totalement calme le danger est encore plus grand de vivre dans la paresse spirituelle, mais là où l'homme est chargé de poids, peu en importe le genre, lorsqu’il arrive à sa fin il se demande quel a été le sens de sa vie et comment il aurait pu la parcourir pour être dispensé de préoccupations et de souffrances terrestres. Et alors il saisit hésitant la Main Paternelle qui lui est offerte affectueusement et qui voudrait arracher son âme de sa misère spirituelle. Cela est l'unique motivation et le but du temps de souffrance qui arrive pour tous.
