Wissen allein nicht genügend.... Erfüllen der Gebote nötig....

Ohne sein Zutun vermag der Mensch die Erdenaufgabe nicht zu erfüllen. Es genügt nicht allein das Wissen, sondern dieses ist erst dann von Wert, wenn gleichzeitig auch alle Willenskraft angewendet wird, dem Wissen entsprechend sein Leben auf Erden zu nützen. Es muß das Leben im Einklang stehen mit dem, was die göttliche Weisheit in Form der Gebote den Menschen zu wissen gab, und es muß also diesen Geboten völlig entsprochen werden, d.h., der göttliche Wille muß respektiert werden und kann niemals ausgeschaltet werden. Nun nützet der Mensch alle Kraft, die ihm zur Lösung der Erdenaufgabe zusteht, für andere Zwecke und gedenket der eigentlichen Bestimmung zuwenig, und er setzet sich nun der Gefahr aus, vollkommen untätig den Gang durch das Erdenleben zu gehen, denn er wehret der rechten Erkenntnis und steht in unmittelbarem materiellen Erleben.... er kennt nur die Welt, begehret diese und ist ein Vertreter des krassesten Irrtums, sobald irgendwelche geistigen Fragen beurteilt werden. Denn es ist dies nicht anders möglich, da er selbst alle Vorkehrungen dazu trifft, die Welt vom Standpunkt des Genießenden zu betrachten. Und dies soll euch Warnung sein, denn ihr verlieret euch selbst, so euch nicht ein liebendes Wesen den rechten Weg weist.... Denn es muß der Mensch tätig sein ohne Unterlaß und stets nur seiner Seele gedenken....

Knowledge alone not enough.... fulfilment of the commandments necessary....

Without his help the human being cannot fulfil his task on earth. Knowledge alone is not enough, it is only of value if all willpower is also used at the same time to make use of his life on earth in accordance with the knowledge. Life must be in harmony with what divine wisdom gave people to know in the form of commandments, and thus these commandments must be completely complied with, i.e. divine will must be respected and can never be eliminated. Now the human being uses all the strength he is entitled to for the solution of the earthly task for other purposes and thinks too little of the actual purpose, and he now exposes himself to the danger of walking through earthly life completely inactive, for he resists the right realization and lives in direct material experience.... he only knows the world, desires it and is the representative of the most blatant error as soon as any spiritual questions are judged. For this is not possible otherwise, since he himself makes all arrangements to look at the world from the standpoint of the enjoyer. And this should be a warning to you, for you will lose yourselves if a loving being does not show you the right path.... for the human being must be constantly active and only ever think of his soul....
