Des Heilands Wort.... Leitstern in dunkler Nacht....

Vernimm unsere Lehren, mein Kind, und gib dich unseren Worten vertrauend hin: Alles, was der Herr bereithält für dich, ist dazu angetan, in schwachen Stunden Trost-gebend auf dich einzuwirken. Kraft und Trost wirst auch du gebrauchen können im Leben, und dieses soll dir aus den Worten zufließen, so daß du dich stets daran aufrichten kannst. Seinem Willen entspricht es, daß du belehrt werdest zu jeder Zeit, wenn dein Verlangen nach dem Himmelsbrot uns fühlbar ist.... es erkläret der Herr in Seiner Liebe und Güte alles, wonach Sein Kind verlangt.... Er führet sie ein in die Lehre Christi, um ihnen fortan treuer Berater zu sein auf dem Lebensweg. Und welches Kind kann dann fehlgehen in so treuer Hut? Sein Wort ist Leitstern in dunkler Nacht.... es ist Warnung vor Gefahr.... es ist gegeben zur Erbauung, Tröstung und Labsal.... immer wird es euch erquicken, rufet ihr den Heiland an, daß Er es euch zuwende.... Im innersten Herzen vernehmen sollt ihr die lieblichsten Worte, und beglückt sollt ihr sie aufnehmen, und so sie erst in euch eingedrungen, dann werdet ihr nimmer davon lassen, denn nichts Irdisches kann euch ersetzen die herrlichste Gabe Gottes.... Nichts wird in gleicher Weise den Frieden euch ins Herz gießen, als des Heilands Lehre es vermag. Und wenn ihr empfangen habet, dann trachtet danach, zu leben, wie es der Heiland verlangt.... gestaltet euch so, daß Sein Blick wohlgefällig auf euch ruhe.... daß euch strahlende Helligkeit umgibt, die ihr Seinen Worten Folge leistet. Denn wessen Worte sollten noch eindringlicher auf euch wirken, wenn nicht des Herrn?.... Und hat euch Gott den Frieden bereitet schon auf Erden, dann seid ihr unermeßlich reich, und nun von eurem Reichtum abzugeben ist eure Bestimmung, die ihr in der Gnade des Herrn wandeln dürfet auf Erden.

The Saviour's Word.... Guiding star in the darkness of night....

Hear our teachings, my child, and accept our Words with trust: Everything the Lord has in store for you is intended to be a comfort to you during hours of weakness. You, too, will need strength and consolation in life and this shall flow to you from the Words, so that they will always be able to lift you up again. It is His will that you shall be instructed whenever we can feel your desire for heavenly bread.... the Lord in His love and goodness explains everything His children desire to know.... He introduces them to the teaching of Christ in order to henceforth be a loyal Advisor on their path in life. And what can go astray under such a faithful watch? His Word is the guiding star in the darkness of night.... it is a warning of danger.... it is given to uplift, comfort and invigorate.... You will always feel refreshed when you appeal to the Saviour that He should bestow it upon you.... In your innermost heart you shall perceive the loveliest Words and you shall accept them gladly, and once they have penetrated you, you will never let go of them, for nothing of an earthly nature can substitute the most glorious gift of God.... Nothing else will pour peace into your heart in the same way as the Saviour's teaching. And once you have received it, try to live according to the Saviour's request.... shape yourselves in a way that He will look upon you with pleasure.... that you, who comply with His Words, will be surrounded by radiant brightness. For whose Words should affect you even more impressively if not the Lord's?.... And if God has given you peace on earth already then you are inconceivably wealthy, and you, who are already allowed to live in the grace of the Lord on earth, have the assignment to share your wealth from now on.
