Geestelijk voedsel - “Komt tot Mij, Ik zal u verkwikken”

Neem geestelijk voedsel tot u, zo vaak als het u mogelijk is. U staat aan het begin van een tijd die zo moeilijk is, dat u er op zult moeten letten, weerstand te kunnen bieden tegen noden en leed van allerlei aard. U zult veel kracht nodig hebben, als u zowel uw aardse als ook uw geestelijke taak wilt nakomen. En deze kracht verschaft Mijn Woord u. Daarom maan Ik u steeds weer aan Mijn gaven van genade ten volle te benutten. Ik maak u opmerkzaam op de noden van de komende tijd en waarschuw u mensen er alleen maar voor, dag na dag gedachteloos voort te leven, het lichaam alle wensen te vervullen en de ziel gebrek te laten lijden. Want het gaat enkel en alleen om het welzijn van de ziel, om uw leven in de eeuwigheid.

Ik wil u graag helpen zalig te worden. Maar uw wil moet actief worden. En u zult niet mogen geloven dat de eeuwige gelukzaligheid zonder moeite kan worden verworven, dat ze u ten deel valt tegen uw wil, zonder eigen toedoen. U zult zich ervan bewust moeten zijn, dat met de dood van het lichaam de mogelijkheid voorbij is om uit eigen kracht werkzaam te zijn, dat u elke onbenutte gelegenheid bitter zult berouwen, als u tot het besef komt wat het aardse leven voor u is geweest.

Er rest u nog slechts een hele korte tijd. Maar hij is voldoende, als u de ernstige wil hebt uw ziel rijp te laten worden. Want Ik zorg ervoor dat er zich talloze mogelijkheden voordoen om uw eigenlijke taak in het leven - het werkzaam zijn in onbaatzuchtige naastenliefde - te vervullen. Maar één ding zult u niet mogen nalaten: u Mijn Woord eigen te maken, kracht en troost daaruit te putten, omdat u, die Mijn Woord tot uw hart laat spreken, zich met Mij Zelf verbindt en u daardoor grote zegen voor uw ziel ontvangt. Neem er geen genoegen mee dat Mijn Woord u zo nu en dan wordt aangeboden. Zoek veeleer zelf met een hunkerend hart de gelegenheid om u onder zijn zegen te plaatsen.

“Komt tot Mij, Ik zal u verkwikken.” Laat Mij herhaaldelijk tot u spreken. Wees niet lauw en onverschillig, maar haast u en verschaf u een voorraad aan kracht, opdat u sterk in het geloof wordt en monter en rustig ook de zwaarste weg in het leven zult kunnen gaan; opdat u zich voortdurend bewust blijft van Mijn tegenwoordigheid en dus met Mij het doel tegemoet gaat: in het lichtrijk geheel met Mij verenigd te zijn.

Neem elk woord serieus, dat u door Mijn dienaren op aarde wordt gebracht. Denk erover na, hoe dringend u Mijn aanmaningen nodig heeft, in welk gevaar u verkeert als u in uw streven verzwakt, als u te weinig betekenis toekent aan Mijn Woord, dat u in diepste liefde, met het oog op de grote nood, wordt aangeboden. U bevindt zich in een grote, buitengewone genade, dat u Mijn Woord ontvangt. Benut deze schenking van genade. Voed uw ziel met het brood uit de hemel. Laat haar geen gebrek lijden, want ze heeft geestelijk voedsel nodig.

Let daarom meer op uw ziel dan op uw lichaam. Schenk meer aandacht aan het geestelijke dan aan het aardse leven, want het laatste zal u, die er teveel waarde aan hecht, zeer teleur stellen. Maar u die geestelijk streeft, zult ook van een zwaar leven niet hoeven te schrikken. U zult het samen met Mij afleggen, als u voortdurend Mij in het Woord tot u laat spreken.

Spiritual food.... "Come to Me, I will refresh you.... "

Receive spiritual food as often as it is possible for you. You are at the start of such a difficult time that you have to be anxious to make yourselves resistant to hardship and suffering of all kinds. You will need much strength if you want to fulfil your earthly as well as your spiritual task, and My word imparts this strength to you. For this reason I admonish you again and again to make use of My gift of grace; I draw your attention to the adversities of the coming time and only warn you humans against living thoughtlessly from day to day, fulfilling the body's every desire and leaving the soul in want, for it is merely a matter of the soul's good.... your life in eternity. I would like to help you to be saved, yet your will has to become active and you should not believe that eternal beatitude can be acquired effortlessly, that it will fall to you against your will, without any help from you. You must be aware of the fact that with the death of your body the opportunity to work with your own strength is over, that you will bitterly regret every passed-up opportunity when you come to realise what earthly life has been for you. You only have a very short time left but it is enough if you have the serious will to mature your souls, for I will see to it that you are offered a thousand opportunities to fulfil your actual task in life, the work of unselfish neighbourly love. But there is one thing you must not neglect to make My word your own, to draw strength and comfort from it, because you, who let My word speak to your hearts, unite with Me Myself and thereby receive great blessings for your soul. Do not be satisfied with the fact that My word is offered to you from time to time but look for the opportunity yourselves with a hungry heart to put yourselves into its blessing.... Come to Me, I will refresh you.... Let Me speak to you often, do not be lukewarm and indifferent but hurry up and build up a store of strength in yourselves so that you will become strong in faith and be able to walk the most difficult path of life serenely and calmly, remain constantly aware of My presence and thus walk with Me towards the aim.... to be completely united with Me in the kingdom of light.... Take every word seriously which is conveyed to you through My servants on earth, think about how urgently you need My admonitions, about the danger you are in if you slacken your striving, if you attach too little importance to My word which is offered to you in deepest love in view of the great adversity. You stand in a great extraordinary grace that you receive My word.... make use of this gift of grace, feed your soul with the bread of heaven, do not let it go hungry, for it needs spiritual nourishment.... Therefore pay more attention to your soul than to your body, pay more attention to spiritual life than to earthly life, for the latter will bring you great disappointment if you attach too much value to it. But even a difficult earthly life need not frighten you who strive spiritually, you will live it with Me if you always and constantly let Me speak to you in the word....
