Valse profeten – Onderzoek de geesten

“Laat u niet verleiden door valse profeten”, zo waarschuwt de Heer u en Hij wil u hiermee waarschuwen om alles te onderzoeken, voordat u het als waarheid accepteert. “Onderzoek de geesten, of ze van God zijn”. Bijgevolg zullen er ook profeten uit de duisternis tevoorschijn komen, die zich aanmatigen om hun leringen als waarheid in de wereld te verspreiden.

En het is nu aan de mensen om hun spreken te onderzoeken. En ze zullen dit ook kunnen, als hun wil naar de waarheid toegekeerd is en ze God om opheldering vragen. Want God heeft hun een aanwijzing gegeven, waarop ze acht moeten slaan. Hij heeft hun aangekondigd, dat valse profeten, valse geesten, zich zullen uiten. Maar dezen zullen Christus ontkennen. Ze zullen Hem niet erkennen als de Zoon van God, als de Verlosser van de wereld. Ze zullen de goddelijkheid van Jezus in twijfel trekken en dus nooit in de liefde staan, want de liefde herkent en belijdt Jezus Christus.

En u zult de valse profeten hieraan herkennen, dat ze gespeend van alle liefde handelen, ofschoon ze met zoete woorden en een verleidelijk spreken de mensen voor zich proberen te winnen. Ze beloven de wereld zaligheid en willen haar van het geloof in Jezus Christus beroven en deze zijn het, die u willen verleiden en voor wie de Heer u waarschuwt. Ze prediken liefde, maar hun handelen is zonder elke liefde en hun spreken is vals. Ze zijn vol huichelarij. Het is niet de geest van God, die uit hen spreekt, maar het is de geest van degene, die van beneden is.

Maar waar Christus beleden wordt voor de wereld, daar uit ook de geest van God zich en luister hiernaar. Want hij zal ook van de liefde prediken, die zich in Jezus Christus aan de wereld geopenbaard heeft. Hij zal jullie de weg wijzen naar God. Hij zal jullie de liefde onderwijzen, die alleen naar God leidt. Hij zal proberen jullie de genaden van het verlossingswerk te geven en jullie voortdurend wijzen op Jezus Christus, de goddelijke Verlosser, Die naar de wereld kwam om jullie zonden op Zich te nemen door Zijn kruisdood.

Jezus Christus is in het vlees gekomen. Hij is de weg over de aarde gegaan, om jullie te wijzen, hoe jullie je vrij kunnen maken van de banden met de wereld, van de banden van de tegenstander. Hij is de weg over de aarde gegaan voor jullie, voor jullie verlossing. Jullie moeten Hem navolgen en daartoe moeten jullie Hem erkennen.

Jullie herkennen de juiste profeet hieraan, dat hij jullie naar Jezus Christus leidt en dan kunnen jullie geloof schenken aan Zijn woorden, want de geest die voor Hem getuigt, is de geest uit God. Maar jullie moeten de stem van degene, die zich tegen Christus verzet, afwijzen, want hij spreekt in opdracht van de tegenstander van God, die de mensen naar de zonde wil leiden en hen naar het verderf leidt.

Beproef de geesten of ze van God zijn. Maar als God jullie Zijn dienaren stuurt, die van Hem getuigen, luister naar hen en neem Zijn leringen in acht, want ze zijn Zijn vertegenwoordigers, door wie Hij Zelf tot jullie spreekt, opdat jullie de weg naar Hem vinden.

False prophets.... Test the spirits....

The Lord warns you to 'Take heed that ye be not deceived by false prophets....'. He thereby wants to remind you to test everything first before you accept it as truth. 'Test the spirits whether they are of God....' Consequently, prophets will also emerge from the darkness who assume the right to spread their teachings in the world as truth. Then it will be up to people to scrutinise their sermons. And they will certainly be able to do so if they want to know the truth and appeal to God for enlightenment. For God gave them an indication as to what to look out for; He announced to them in advance that false prophets, false spirits, will express themselves. But they will deny Christ, they will not acknowledge Him as the Son of God, as the Redeemer of the world, they will doubt Jesus' divinity and therefore not live in love, for love recognises and professes Jesus Christ. And thus you will recognise false prophets by the fact that they act entirely without love, even though they seek to win people over for themselves with sweet words and enticing speeches. They promise to save the world and want to deprive it of its faith in Jesus Christ, they want to seduce you and of whom the Lord cautions you. They preach love yet their actions are completely devoid of love and their words are deceptive and hypocritical; it is not the spirit of God which speaks through them but the spirit of the one from below instead.... However, where Jesus Christ is professed in the world, that is, where the spirit of God expresses itself, you should listen to it.... For it will preach the same love which revealed itself to the world in Jesus Christ, it will show you the path to God, it will teach you the love which alone will lead to God.... it will try to impart the blessings of the act of Salvation upon you and constantly refer you to Jesus Christ, the divine Redeemer, Who came into the world in order to take your sins upon Himself through His death on the cross. Jesus Christ came in the flesh; He took the path on earth in order to show you how you can liberate yourselves from the bondage of the world, from the adversary's bondage.... He took the path on earth for your sake, for your Salvation.... You ought to follow him and to this end you must acknowledge Him.... Hence you can recognise a true prophet by the fact that he will lead you to Jesus Christ, in that case you can give credence to his words, for the spirit which testifies to Him is the spirit of God.... Yet reject the voice of the one who opposes Christ, for he speaks on behalf of God's adversary, who wants to lead people into sin and guides them towards their ruin.... Test the spirits to see whether they are of God.... However, if God sends His servants to you who testify to Him, then listen to them and comply with their teaching, for they are His representatives through whom He speaks to you Himself so that you will find the right path to Him....
