Het woord van God – Een kostbaar genadegeschenk

U doorloopt een school van de geest als u vertrouwd gemaakt wordt met het goddelijke woord en als u het aanvaardt en daar voordeel uit probeert te trekken, want dan moet u onvermijdelijk rijp worden. Uw inzicht moet toenemen en het moet licht en helder in u worden. U zult begrijpen, wat eerst nog onbegrijpelijk voor u was. U zult de eindeloze liefde van God begrijpen, Die naar u overhelt en Zich aan u schenkt in het woord. En wat u ook aan wijsheid bezit, er bestaat niets zoals het woord, dat u via de rechtstreekse weg toegestuurd wordt, want het is kracht uit God, die rechtstreeks naar u toestroomt en die daarom ook een buitengewoon effect heeft.

En zodra u gelooft dat God Zelf tot u spreekt, verlangt u ook naar Zijn woord en pas dan kunt u het ontvangen, want God wil bewust begeerd worden om Zich te kunnen uiten. Hij wil, dat Hij als een liefdevolle Vader erkend wordt, Die Zijn kinderen voortdurend met Zijn genadegeschenk bedenkt. En Hij wil, dat Zijn kinderen ook verlangen dragen naar Zijn uiting van liefde, naar Zijn woord. Want het is het kostbaarste, wat Hij u bieden kan, zolang u nog op aarde verblijft.

Het goddelijke woord stelt u in staat om de opdracht op aarde te vervullen. Het maakt u wijs en voedt u op tot liefde. Het wijst u de weg naar God. Het helpt uw ziel bij het opstijgen, want het helpt u om uw ziel te vormen volgens de wil van God. En daarom kunt u zonder het woord van God de gang over de aarde niet succesvol afleggen. U hebt het nodig voor uw geestelijke ontwikkeling. Maar de liefde van God weet, wat u ontbreekt en ze komt u tegemoet, een ieder biedend, wat hem naar de hoogte brengt. Ze daalt zelf tot u neer. Ze doet zich heel duidelijk blijken, opdat uw geloof dieper en inniger wordt, want u zult deze in de komende tijd gebruiken.

U zult hongeren naar Zijn woord en dorsten naar Zijn genade en u zult u mogen laven aan de bron, waaruit het levende water stroomt. U zult onophoudelijk mogen putten en u zult verfrist en versterkt worden, als u de goddelijke, verkwikkende drank tot u neemt. U zult verzadigd worden door het woord van God, door het brood uit de hemel, dat aan al degenen geboden wordt, die er vurig naar verlangen. Die God liefhebben uit geheel hun hart en Hem deze liefde bewijzen door onbaatzuchtige liefde voor de naaste. God komt hen dichterbij in het woord, zoals Hij het beloofd heeft.

Word of God - most precious gift of grace....

You go through a school of the spirit when the divine word is made accessible to you and you take it in and try to benefit from it, for then you will inevitably have to mature, you will have to increase in realization and it must become light and clear in you.... You will understand what was previously incomprehensible to you, you will realize God's infinite love, which leans towards you and offers itself to you in the word. And no matter what wisdom you possess, nothing is equal to the word which reaches you directly, for it is the strength from God which flows to you directly and which therefore also has an extraordinary effect. And as soon as you believe that God Himself speaks to you, you also desire His word, and only then can you receive it, for God wants to be consciously desired in order to be able to express Himself; He wants to be recognized as a loving father Who always and constantly bestows His gift of grace upon His children; and He wants His children to also desire His expression of love, His word. For it is the most delicious thing He can offer you as long as you still dwell on earth. The divine word enables you to fulfil your earthly task, it makes you wise and educates you to love, it shows you the path to God, it helps your soul to ascend, for it helps you to shape your soul in accordance with God's will. And that is why you cannot successfully cover the earthly path without the word of God, you need it for your spiritual development. God's love, however, knows what you lack and it comes to meet you, offering everyone that which will help him to ascend. It descends to you itself; it shows itself quite obviously, so that your faith becomes a deeper and more intimate one, for you will use it in the time to come. You will hunger for His word and thirst for His grace, and you will be allowed to refresh yourselves at the spring from which the living water flows.... you will be allowed to draw incessantly, and you will be refreshed and strengthened if you take the divine drink; you will be satisfied by the word of God, by the bread of heaven, which is offered to all those who ardently desire it, who love God with all their heart and prove this love to Him through unselfish love for their neighbour.... God Himself draws near to them in the word, as He has promised....
