Lot van de arme zielen in het hiernamaals en hulp

Laat jouw gedachten door het oneindige heelal, die drager is van talloze zielen, zwerven en probeer je de nood voor te stellen van hen die nog in de duisternis van het ongeloof zijn en die hun bestaan nog niet als onverwoestbaar onderkenden. Deze wanen zich nog op aarde, alleen door een of andere gebeurtenis in een andere streek en in een andere omgeving verplaatst en kunnen zich nog niet met de gedachte vertrouwd maken dat hun leven op aarde beëindigd is. Ze dwalen en zoeken de uitweg uit hun toestand en zijn moedeloos en vertwijfeld als ze steeds weer hetzelfde onvriendelijke en sombere beeld voor zich zien. Het wil ze maar niet lukken om hun toestand te verbeteren, want waarheen ze zich ook wenden, ze vinden geen licht en daarom is hun toestand grenzeloos ellendig.

Als de barmhartigheid van God hun geen hulp zou zenden, zou hun lot steeds hetzelfde zijn. Ook voor deze zielen bestaat echter de mogelijkheid dat ze zich uit hun nood kunnen bevrijden, zodra ze besef hebben en gewillig zijn. De hun toegezonden hulp nodigt ze uit tot steeds dieper nadenken over zichzelf, tot het bij hen doorgedrongen is om zelf de hand te leggen aan de verbetering van hun toestand. Dan wordt hen ook van de kant van de hen begeleidende geestelijke wezens, die voor hen niet als zodanig herkenbaar zijn, de weg gewezen en hoe ijveriger ze deze aanwijzingen opvolgen, des te eerder is de verandering van hun toestand zichtbaar en al het kleinste succes laat zo’n ziel des te ijveriger worden, zodra haar alleen maar een zweem van licht merkbaar wordt en ze de waarheid begint te vermoeden.

Om jullie, mensenkinderen, de toestand van lijden begrijpelijk te maken, zouden jullie zoiets alleen maar in een droom kunnen aanschouwen en deze zou voor jullie zo verschrikkelijk en bedrukkend zijn dat jullie geremd zouden zijn in jullie levenswerk en jullie misschien vanwege angst de juiste weg zouden willen bewandelen, wat echter voor jullie ziel niet nuttig zou zijn. Maar aan de andere kant moeten jullie kennis hebben van de erbarmelijke toestand van deze zielen om jullie liefde naar hen toe te keren en hen hierdoor te helpen in de nood. Wie in staat is zich hun leed voor te stellen, zal, door diep medelijden gegrepen, hen door het gebed om verzachting van hun kwellingen hulp kunnen geven en dit moet voor jullie een aanwijzing zijn om de arme dwalende zielen in het hiernamaals te gedenken en hen jullie hulp niet te onthouden, waarop zij in zo grote mate aangewezen zijn wil hun tijd van lijden verkort worden, want het ontbreekt hen aan kracht. Die wordt hen door jullie gebed of door de liefde van geestelijke wezens uit het hiernamaals toegevoerd.

The fate of poor souls in the afterlife and help....

Let your thoughts wander into the infinite universe, which is the carrier of countless souls, and try to imagine the hardship of those who are still in the darkness of unbelief and who have not yet recognized their existence as indestructible.... These still believe themselves to be on earth, only transferred to another region and another environment through some process and cannot yet familiarize themselves with the thought that their life on earth has come to an end. They wander and search for a way out of their situation and are despondent and desperate when they see the same unfriendly and gloomy picture before them again and again. They do not want to succeed in improving their condition, because wherever they turn, they find no brightness, and therefore their condition is boundlessly miserable. If God's mercy did not send them help their fate would always remain the same, but even for these souls there is the possibility that they will be able to free themselves from their hardship as soon as they have recognized it and are willing. The help sent to them compels them to reflect ever more deeply on themselves until they have made up their minds to take action to improve their situation. Then they will also be shown the way by the spirit beings who look after them, but who are not recognizable to them as such, and the more eagerly they follow this instruction the sooner the change in their state will become apparent, and even the smallest success will make such a soul all the more eager as soon as it notices just a glimmer of light and begins to suspect the truth. In order to make the state of suffering comprehensible to you earthly children you could only see it in a dream, and this would be so dreadful and depressing for you that you would be inhibited in your life's work and perhaps want to take the right path out of fear, which, however, would not benefit your soul. On the other hand, however, you should be aware of the pitiable situation of these souls in order to turn your love towards them and to help them through this in their adversity. Anyone who is able to imagine their suffering will, seized by profound compassion, be able to help them through prayer for the alleviation of their agony, and this should be an indication to you to remember the poor erring souls in the beyond and not to deny them your help, on which they are so greatly dependent if their time of suffering is to be shortened, for they lack the strength which is supplied to them through your prayer or through the love of spiritual beings in the beyond....
