L’infallibilità del capo della chiesa

Ogni dottrina di fede deve essere esaminata, prima di venire accettata. Questo viene richiesto a voi da Dio, per indebolire l’agire del Suo avversario, perché voi stessi riconoscerete poi anche, qual è la sua opera. Il suo intento è di mescolare la Verità divina con l’errore, ma l’uomo può riconoscere molto bene questo errore, se esamina seriamente ciò che gli viene offerto nel desiderio di accettare soltanto il Divino, il Vero. L’avversario per la diffusione dell’errore si serve sempre della volontà umana, cioè, influenza gli uomini di aggiungere arbitrariamente alla Dottrina divina ulteriori dottrine e di diffondere queste poi come date da Dio. Ma l’opera umana non è priva di errore e così è stata deformata anche la Dottrina divina, e questo ancora di più, quanto meno gli uomini stessi esaminano e riflettono. E di nuovo è l’opera dell’avversario che viene interdetto l’esaminare ed il riflettere sulle dottrine umane, che quindi dagli uomini viene preteso di accettare incondizionatamente ogni insegnamento di fede e che un esaminare della stessa viene presentata come ingiustizia. E da questo viene avvantaggiato straordinariamente l’agire di colui che è il principe della menzogna. Ma Dio pretende dagli uomini una fede viva, cioè, una fede del cuore, una fede che afferma piena di convinzione ciò che gli viene insegnato. Quell’uomo potrà affermare anche con piena convinzione ogni Verità divina, perché vi riflette seriamente. Ma non potrà mai accettare l’opera di Lucifero. Presto la riconoscerà come opera d’uomo e potrà rinunciarvi a cuore leggero, perché la riconosce come inutile. E dato che l’esaminare ha inevitabilmente per conseguenza che ogni errore venga riconosciuto e rifiutato, l’avversario ha ben compreso di interdire l’esaminare di dottrine di fede stabilendo una dottrina, che dovesse escludere il pensare umano, e questa dottrina ha prodotte molte cattive conseguenze. Questa è la dottrina dell’infallibilità del capo della chiesa, che apparentemente solleva l’uomo da ogni responsabilità, che lo conduce però nella più profonda oscurità spirituale, se viene riconosciuta e valutata come Verità divina. Perché ha potuto essere aggiunta ogni dottrina errata come Verità divina, senza che dovesse trovare obiezione o essere rifiutata. E così è stata aperta la porta ad ogni errore, all’agire dell’avversario è stato messo a disposizione un campo sul quale poteva spargere abbondantemente la sua semenza.

Infallibility of the head of church....

Every religious doctrine should be examined before it is accepted. God demands this from you in order to reduce the adversary’s influence, because then you will also understand how he works yourselves. His objective is to infiltrate the divine truth with inaccuracies, but the human being can certainly become aware of it if he seriously examines what he is offered with the desire only to accept the divine, the truth. The opponent uses human will, i.e. he influences people to arbitrarily add other teachings to the divine teaching and to pass them on as God-given teachings. But human work is not without error and consequently the pure divine teaching is spoilt too, and even more so the less people scrutinise and think for themselves. And once again it is the opponent’s doing that human doctrines inherently prevent their scrutiny and contemplation.... that people are therefore required to accept each religious doctrine unconditionally and scrutiny of it is made out to be wrong. This furthers the activity of the prince of lies very much indeed. But God requires people to have a living faith, i.e. a faith of heart, a faith which affirms with full conviction what it is taught. Anyone who seriously thinks about it will be able to affirm every divine truth wholeheartedly, however, he will never be able to accept the action of Satan. He will soon recognise it as human work and, having found it to be worthless, thus abandon it with an easy heart. Examine everything and hold on to the best....

And because scrutiny inevitably has to entail the recognition and rejection of every error, the adversary knew how to prevent the examination of religious dogma by establishing a teaching which was intended to eliminate human thought and which thus has resulted in very nasty consequences.... This concerns the teaching of infallibility of the head of church, which apparently relieves the human being of every responsibility yet leads him into deep spiritual darkness if it is accepted and regarded as divine truth. Because any misguided teaching could then be added as divine truth without permitting criticism or rejection. And thus the door was opened to every error.... a field had been made available to the adversary’s activity on which he could scatter his seed widely....
