Lo scopo delle previsioni della catastrofe in arrivo

L’unica possibilità di sollevare il velo che Dio ha steso su tutto ciò che è nel futuro, è un collega-mento puramente spirituale. All’uomo deve rimanere nascosto il suo futuro destino, affinché si possa formare senza influenza secondo la Volontà divina, e non sarebbe quasi necessario annunciargli un futuro avvenimento, finché per lui è importante il raggiungimento della maturità della sua anima. Ma se quest’ultima è troppo poco considerata, allora l’uomo capita nel pericolo di vivere la sua vita senza utilità, ed ora in qualche modo dev’essere avvertito o fatto notare questo pericolo. Gli dev’essere portato davanti agli occhi la possibilità di una rapida fine, e con ciò risvegliato il sentimento della sua responsabilità. E contemporaneamente dev’essere messo in dubbio la durata di sussistenza di tutto ciò che è intorno a sé o colma il suo tendere e pensare; cioè gli dev’essere presentata la possibilità di un crollo del terreno, affinché riconosca la via errata sulla quale cammina. Così Dio fa dare agli uomini uno sguardo in avvenimenti in arrivo. Egli dà loro conoscenza di ciò che Lui ha deciso nella Sua Sapienza per la salvezza per via di tali uomini, che sono inattivi per la loro anima. Egli lascia giungere agli uomini questo Annuncio su una via di un contatto puramente spirituale, dato che diversamente non è possibile, per non togliere agli uomini la loro libera volontà. I risultati di un collegamento puramente spirituale possono essere creduti, ma anche respinti e non creduti, mentre ogni altro Annuncio, se Dio Stesso lo trasmettesse agli uomini in modo evidente, farebbe scaturire l’orrore e renderebbe gli uomini piuttosto incapaci per un cammino di vita cambiato. Gli avvenimenti in arrivo devono essere annunciati agli uomini in un modo, che li lascia di nuovo liberi di credere oppure no. Gli uomini devono bensì essere avvertiti, ma non costretti ad un altro modo di vivere. Devono soltanto soppesare la possibilità di un avvenimento straordinario e predisporre loro stessi rispettivamente. Quindi degli uomini risvegliati o scelti da Dio devono ricevere l’Annuncio di tali avvenimenti futuri sulla via di un collegamento puramente spirituale e trasmetterlo ai prossimi. Ora costoro sono totalmente liberi di credere e di prepararsi di conseguenza oppure di respingerlo. Ma Dio non lascia mai venire sull’umanità un avvenimento straordinario, senza averla prima avvertita. Più increduli sono gli uomini e più lasciano inosservato il loro vero compito terreno, più imponente si adempie l’Annuncio di Dio. La necessità di un Intervento divino è attualmente riconoscibile così evidente, dato che lo sviluppo dell’anima verso l’Alto viene così disatteso, e l’uomo vive solo ancora per via del suo compito terreno, delle gioie terrene e per il suo benessere corporeo. Di conseguenza respingerà anche tali Annunci spirituali e sarà del tutto impreparato malgrado Avvertimenti ed Ammonimenti, quando questi si adempiranno, perché corrispondono alla Verità e sono stati trasmessi prima all’umanità su Ordine di Dio. E perciò nel tempo in arrivo si adempirà la Profezia, un enorme avvenimento della natura scuoterà l’umanità dal suo ozioso vivere alla giornata senza fede, dal sonno spirituale ed indicibile pericolo per l’anima.

Purpose of the predictions of the coming catastrophe....

A purely spiritual connection is the only way to lift the veil which God has spread over everything that lies in the future. The human being's future destiny should remain concealed so that he can shape himself according to divine will without being influenced, and it would hardly be necessary to announce a forthcoming event to him as long as the attainment of his soul's maturity is important to him. However, if too little attention is paid to the latter, the human being runs the risk of not living his life profitably and he must be warned or made aware of this danger in some way. He must be made aware of the possibility of a quick end and thus his sense of responsibility must be awakened. And at the same time the permanence of everything that is around him or fills his aspirations and thoughts must be questioned; thus the possibility of a sudden disintegration of the earthly must be presented to him so that he recognizes the wrong path on which he is walking. And thus God allows people to gain an insight into coming events.... He gives them knowledge of what He has decided in His wisdom for the sake of the salvation of such people who are idle in their souls. He lets people receive information by way of a pure-spiritual connection, as it is not possible otherwise in order not to curtail people's freedom of will. The results of a pure-spiritual connection can be believed but also rejected as implausible, whereas every other announcement, if God Himself would impart it to people in an obvious way, would cause horror and rather make people incapable of a changed way of life. The coming events must be announced to people in such a way that they are free to believe or not. People should be warned, but not forced to change their way of life. They should only consider the possibility of an extraordinary event and adjust themselves accordingly. Thus people awakened or chosen by God must receive the news of such future events by way of a pure spiritual connection and pass it on to their fellow human beings. They are now completely free to believe it and to prepare themselves accordingly or to reject it. However, God will never allow an extraordinary event to befall humanity without having warned them first. The more unbelieving people are and the more they ignore their actual task on earth, the more powerful God's announcement will be fulfilled. The necessity of divine intervention is so obviously recognizable at present, as the soul's higher development is completely disregarded and the human being only lives for his earthly task, earthly pleasures and his physical comfort. Consequently, he will also reject such spiritual proclamations and, despite warnings and admonitions, be completely unprepared when the proclamations come true because they correspond to the truth and were conveyed to humanity beforehand on God's instructions. And therefore the prediction will be fulfilled in the time to come, a powerful natural event will shake humanity out of its sluggish existence without faith, out of its spiritual sleep and unspeakable danger of the soul....
