Les Préadamites…

Longtemps avant que les premiers hommes séjournent sur la terre, munis par Dieu de libre arbitre et d’intelligence, il y avait déjà des créatures semblables aux hommes qui avaient pour tâche de rendre la terre hospitalière à l’humanité qui les suivait. Ils travaillaient par instinct, c'est-à-dire sous la loi naturelle.... en agissant pour se conserver ; ils cueillaient des fruits, récoltaient des produits agrestes, et se bâtissaient des demeures.... Ils faisaient tout ce qui était instinctivement à leur avantage.

Mais ils ne pouvaient pas être tenus responsables de leur conduite parce qu’il n’y avait pas encore, incorporé en eux, un être qui aurait hébergé en lui les particules intégrales d’un esprit originel déchu. Ces êtres ressemblaient déjà beaucoup aux hommes, ils avaient des corps de même forme, mais ils n’étaient ni conscients de leur moi ni ne pouvaient s’entendre entre eux, ils avaient seulement un fort désir de se conserver, et souvent aussi ils atteignaient un âge avancé, ils servaient pour ainsi dire dans la création afin de contribuer à la transformation de la surface de la terre qui était toujours mieux préparée pour fournir, au bon moment, aux hommes un séjour correspondant à leurs besoins. Mais il n’avait pas encore été donné de tâche à ces êtres, ils ne faisaient que servir aux esprits originels non encore entièrement achevés d’ultime chance de maturation afin qu’ils puissent continuer en hommes munis de libre arbitre et d’intelligence.

Donc ces hominiens.... les préadamites.... ne pouvaient pas être considérés comme de véritables « êtres humains » car leur mentalité, leur aspect et tout ce qu’ils faisaient correspondait plutôt à un animal encore en retard dans son développement ; ce n’était que leur forme qui ressemblait à celle d’un être humain ; et de la sorte, on les a appelés plus tard « hominiens », mais ils n’étaient pas comparables aux hommes en possession de libre arbitre et de connaissance que ceux-ci devaient maintenant employer intellectuellement de la manière juste.

On ne peut pas prétendre non plus que l’homme se soit développé de ces préadamites, car l’homme a été, et est, une création nouvelle, que Dieu n’a extériorisée qu’au moment où un grand nombre de premiers esprits originels attendaient leur incarnation. L’hominien a été une des nombreuses créations qui étaient toutes obligées de remplir leur destination, à savoir : de préparer à l’homme qui les suivait plus tard un domicile lui garantissant une vie terrestre sans soucis. Les préadamites étaient des êtres semblables à des hommes qui ne pouvaient pas être tenus pour responsables de leurs faits, parce qu’ils menaient une vie animale, où tous les instincts ressortaient…. Ils ont vécu sur la terre longtemps avant l’homme.... n’ayant pas la conscience d’être un moi, et ne pouvant vivre qu’en groupes.... ne séjournant que là où plus tard habiteraient des êtres humains auxquels ils préparaient, par leur activité régulière, un domaine approprié. Cela était inné à ces êtres, et prenait la forme de la mise en culture de vastes étendues de champs, de la dissémination de substances d’intérêt vital, et de la récolte qui en résultait sur de telles étendues de terre.... Ils faisaient tout cela inconsciemment, par un instinct naturel, pour se conserver eux-mêmes.... Ils luttaient l’un contre l’autre, et le plus fort gagnait. Et ainsi ils contribuaient aussi à ce que des êtres spirituels toujours nouveaux s’incarnent, n’était-ce que pendant un temps limité où ils faisaient preuve de leur force, où des impulsions plus ou moins fortes se faisaient valoir en eux, impulsions qui s’affaiblissaient au fur et à mesure qu’ils vieillissaient, et de cette façon, ils atteignaient à pas lents une maturité qui leur permettait d’entamer l’ultime incarnation en tant qu’homme.

Donc, déjà longtemps avant les premiers hommes, il y avait des êtres semblables aux hommes, mais qui n’ont pas de rapport avec les vrais hommes. Ils étaient comparables à eux par la forme extérieure, ils menaient une existence animale.... tant en ce qui concerne leurs impulsions que leur manière de procréation ; ils se développaient conformément à leur substance psychique; ainsi ils appartenaient au grand nombre des ouvrages de création disparus après avoir exécuté leur tâche sur la terre, c'est-à-dire quand les êtres n’avaient plus besoin de ces créations, et donc maintenant elles s’éteignaient complètement, comme tant d’autres créations hébergées par la terre pendant un certain temps pour ensuite céder la place à des créations nouvelles....

Pourtant, il ne peut pas être dit que l’homme, sous sa forme présente, se soit développé de ces créatures pré-humaines, mais il était, et est, une nouvelle création douée de libre arbitre et d’intelligence qui devait maintenant faire ses preuves, donc à qui la conscience d’être un moi était rendue. Le degré d’une certaine intelligence dont ces préadamites pouvaient disposer ne dépendait que du degré de maturité des particules d’âme qu’ils hébergeaient, mais ces préadamites n’étaient pas capables de penser; donc cette intelligence-là ne s’exprimait que par leur activité ouvrière, elle était donc fournie inconsciemment.... Nonobstant, cette activité a créé de merveilleux ouvrages qui sont souvent visibles dans la nature où des chemins se sont formés permettant à ces êtres de se rencontrer; ils ont fabriqué des canaux et des tunnels souterrains; ainsi ils ont créé les conditions nécessaires pour que les hommes puissent mener une vie convenable plus tard, quand le temps fut venu, pour les premiers esprits originels, de s’incarner en hommes.... Plus d’esprits originels attendaient leur incarnation, plus les hominiens ont reculé, ce qui ne se faisait que graduellement, jusqu’à ce que le genre humain anime la terre, et que le temps d’épreuve commence pour lui – temps pendant lequel tout esprit originel jadis déchu devait s’affirmer, et pour cela, l’homme devait être muni de la conscience d’être un moi, d’une intelligence, et d’un libre arbitre, pour prendre sur cette terre le chemin qui le ramènera au Père Dont il fut jadis issu.

Pre-Adamites....

Long before the first human beings lived on earth, who were equipped by God with free will and intellect, human-like living creations whose task it was to make the earth habitable for the succeeding human race already existed. They did their work instinctively, i.e. driven by natural law.... in order to sustain themselves, they gathered fruit, harvested field products and built dwellings for themselves.... they did everything which instinctively was of benefit to them.

Yet they could not be held accountable for their actions, for they were not yet embodied by a soul which contained all the minute particles of a fallen original spirit. These beings were already very much like human beings, they had the same bodily form, yet they were neither self-aware nor able to communicate with each other, only their desire for self-preservation was strong and they often lived to a great age. In a manner of speaking they were of service to creation by contributing towards changing the earth's surface which became ever better prepared as a suitable abode for the needs of human beings. However, these beings were not yet given a task, they merely served the still imperfect original spirits as a final opportunity to mature, which they then were to continue as a human being with free will and intellect.

Hence these prehistoric people.... the Pre-Adamites.... could not be considered real 'human beings', for their nature, their appearance and their every activity was more in line with an animal, which is still far behind in its development, only the form was similar to a human being. This is why later people named these living creations prehistoric-man, but which could not be compared to the human being in possession of free will and awareness, which he was also meant to use intellectually in the right manner. Nor can it be said that the human being evolved from this Pre-Adamite, since the human being was a new creation which God only externalised after many of the first original spirits awaited their embodiment. The prehistoric being was one of many creations which all had to serve their purpose of preparing an abode for the later appearing human being that would guarantee him a carefree earthly life. The Pre-Adamites were those human-like beings which could not be held responsible because they lived instinctively, like animals.... who lived on earth long before human beings.... who were not self-aware and could only live in groups.... who thus could only be found where human beings would later settle, for whom they prepared the specific area with their consistent activity. This was the beings' innate characteristic and expressed itself by cultivating large areas of fields, by systematically sowing essential substances and by harvesting such stretches of land.... They did this entirely unconsciously, resulting from a natural instinct of self-preservation.... They fought each other and the stronger won. And thus they also contributed to the fact that constantly new spiritual beings incarnated themselves, if only for a brief period of time, to prove their strength, when more or less strong impulses asserted themselves which gradually weakened the longer they lived and then also slowly attained the maturity which enabled them to enter their final embodiment as a human being.

Thus human-like beings had already existed long before the first human beings, but they cannot in any way be related to the real human beings. They were comparable to them in their external shape but they existed like animals.... in their instincts as well as in their manner of procreation, which evolved in line with their soul-substances, and were one of the many works of creations which disappeared again after they had completed their earthly task, thus the beings no longer required such creations, and they subsequently became extinct like so many creations which earth had sheltered for a while in order to make place for new creations....

But it cannot be said that the modern human being evolved from these prehistoric creations, rather, he was and is a new creation, endowed with free will and intellect, which then had to prove itself, thus he also received his self-awareness again. To what degree the Pre-Adamites could also use a certain amount of intelligence merely depended on the degree of maturity of their embodied soul-particles which, however, were unable to think and only expressed their intelligence through their active work, thus unconsciously.... This activity nevertheless produced the greatest works of wonder, as can often be seen in nature that paths were created for these beings to reach one another, that they created gorges and underground passages and thus created the first prerequisites for the human race so that the latter could then live the right kind of life when the time had come for the first original spirits to embody themselves as human beings.... The more people spread, (original spirits awaited embodiment), the more the prehistoric beings began to disappear which, however, only ever happened in stages, until the human race began to populate the earth and their probationary period began, when every once fallen original spirit had to prove itself, and therefore the human being has to be equipped with self-awareness, intellect and free will in order to travel the path across earth which will lead him again to the Father from Whom he once originated.
