The birth of Christ.... I.

Salvation has come from above.... How many lips utter this and how often is the heart unaffected, insofar as that the human being not even once seriously reflects on the meaning of Jesus Christ's coming down to earth. A child was born, Whose soul descended from the kingdom of light because God wanted to embody Himself in this infant. The infant Jesus was a human being, born to Mary, the virgin, who conceived him through the strength of the spirit.... The human being Jesus started His earthly course of life like everyone else, yet the side effects of His birth were not those of an ordinary person but they indicated that an exceptional cover also sheltered an exceptional boy child.... that it should be the cover for the Eternal Deity Which was only able to manifest Itself in a pure and sinless human being, as was the boy child Jesus. For He had to carry out a mission of such immense significance that the requirements for it also had to be exceptional. God Himself wanted to take abode in the infant Jesus and chose for Himself an immaculate form which also harboured an immaculate soul, in which the Eternal Deity was able to dwell in order to accomplish the act of Salvation for the whole of the human race. The fact that God Himself descended to earth was an act of overwhelming compassion, for Earth was covered in profound darkness and all its inhabitants too, they were controlled and gagged by the prince of darkness and languished under the pressure of slavery in sin and agony. And God knew the hardship of His living creations which once had voluntarily separated themselves from Him and, entangling themselves in ever deeper darkness, no longer found a way out and cried for a Saviour to liberate them. God heard their cry and sent His Son to earth.... a Being Which likewise emerged from His might and love and Which remained in His abundance of light when His brothers plunged themselves into the darkness. Jesus' soul was devoted to God with boundless love but it also loved its fallen brothers and wanted to help them return into the Father's house because it knew that happiness and bliss are only possible in God's presence and that the distance from Him meant hardship, agony and darkness.

Jesus knew both conditions and His love for the wretched being motivated Him to offer Himself as a sacrifice in order to remove the guilt of sin which was immense, and the beings which became sinful would never have been able to make

Amends for it themselves. Yet a pure and blameless soul wanted to sacrifice itself for their sins in order to redeem the guilt and to satisfy God's righteousness. For the soul was love.... And this love was God.... God or love permeated the man Jesus, so that He wanted to accomplish an act of greatest suffering and agony for the sake of these fallen brothers. And thus God Himself descended to earth in Jesus and entered a human form which corresponded to all preconditions in order to shelter the Eternal Deity Himself without fading away.... The infant Jesus was full of love and all hearts entering His ray of love became permeated by love, singing praise and giving thanks, for only people came to the infant's manger whose hearts were pure and devoted to God and who therefore felt the love emanated by the infant and who came aglow with burning love for the Jesus child. Although the events surrounding Jesus' birth are now only regarded a myth, anyone who is filled by the spirit of God, whose spirit is awakened, knows that everything which has been preserved as knowledge about the birth of Jesus is the truth. Miracles upon miracles happened around the child Itself, in nature, in Heaven and on Earth, and all the angles bowed down on bended knees before the One Who had embodied Himself in the infant Jesus, just as men and animals were seized by holiest awe and silence when the greatest wonder, God's human manifestation in Jesus, was taking place. And the heart of anyone with an awakened spirit will also convincingly speak the Words 'Salvation has come from above....' For the light of love of the Saviour Jesus Christ likewise shines on him, he belongs to those for whom the Saviour came to earth to save them, he belongs to the redeemed, for whom the act of compassion on the cross was accomplished, because he wanted to become redeemed from sin and death. And he will not just pay lip service to the birth of Christ, with his heart he will think of everything that happened during that night when the light of the world came down to earth, when the infant Jesus came into the world. And he will join in singing the hymn of praise 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men of good will....'

Nașterea lui Hristos....

Mântuirea a venit de sus.... Câte buze pronunță acest lucru și cât de des inima este neimplicată în el, în măsura în care omul nici măcar nu se gândește serios la ceea ce înseamnă coborârea lui Iisus Hristos pe Pământ. S-a născut un copil al cărui suflet a coborât din împărăția luminii pentru că Dumnezeu a vrut să se întrupeze în acest copil. Pruncul Iisus a fost o ființă umană, născută din Maria, Fecioara, care l-a conceput prin puterea spiritului..... Ființa umană Iisus și-a început cariera pământească ca orice altă ființă umană, însă fenomenele care au însoțit nașterea Sa nu au fost cele ale unei ființe umane obișnuite, ci au indicat că un înveliș extraordinar a adăpostit și un copil extraordinar.... că acesta era destinat să fie învelișul divinității veșnice, care nu se putea manifesta decât într-o ființă umană pură, fără păcat, așa cum era copilul Iisus. Pentru că trebuia să îndeplinească o misiune de o importanță atât de mare încât condițiile necesare pentru aceasta erau de asemenea neobișnuite. Dumnezeu Însuși a vrut să locuiască în acest prunc Iisus și a ales o formă imaculată, care conținea și un suflet imaculat, în care Dumnezeirea eternă putea acum să locuiască pentru a împlini lucrarea de răscumpărare pentru întreaga omenire. Faptul că Dumnezeu Însuși a coborât pe Pământ a fost o lucrare supremă de milă, căci Pământul zăcea în întunericul cel mai adânc și toți locuitorii Pământului la fel, ei erau conduși și încătușați de prințul întunericului și lâncezeau în păcat și chinuri sub presiunea robiei. Și Dumnezeu știa despre necazurile creaturilor Sale care, odată ce se despărțiseră de bună voie de El și, prinse într-un întuneric tot mai adânc, nu mai găseau o cale de ieșire și strigau după un Mântuitor care să le elibereze. Dumnezeu a auzit strigătul lor și le-a trimis pe Fiul Său pe Pământ.... o ființă care, la fel, a ieșit din puterea și iubirea Sa, care a rămas în plinătatea Sa de lumină atunci când frații Săi s-au aruncat în întuneric. Sufletul lui Iisus era devotat lui Dumnezeu într-o imensă iubire, dar îi iubea și pe frații săi căzuți și voia să-i ajute să se întoarcă în casa Tatălui, pentru că știa că numai în prezența lui Dumnezeu este fericire și beatitudine, iar în depărtarea de El este adversitate, chin și întuneric. Iisus cunoștea ambele condiții, iar dragostea Sa pentru cel nenorocit L-a determinat să Se ofere pe Sine ca jertfă lui Dumnezeu pentru a plăti vina păcatului, care era nemăsurat de mare și care nu ar fi putut fi plătită niciodată de păcătosul însuși. Dar un suflet curat, fără vină, a vrut să se sacrifice pentru păcatele lor pentru a răscumpăra vina și pentru a satisface dreptatea lui Dumnezeu. Pentru că sufletul a fost dragoste.... Dragostea a fost Dumnezeu.... Dumnezeu sau iubirea l-a umplut pe omul Iisus, astfel încât a vrut să împlinească o lucrare de cea mai mare suferință și chin pentru acei frați căzuți. Și astfel, Dumnezeu Însuși a coborât pe Pământ în Iisus și a luat o formă umană care îndeplinea toate cerințele pentru a adăposti în Sine Însuși Eternul Dumnezeu, fără a trebui să piară.... Pruncul Iisus era plin de iubire și tot ceea ce intra în raza Sa de iubire era plin de iubire, laudă și mulțumire în inima sa, căci numai oamenii cu inima curată și devotată lui Dumnezeu veneau la ieslea pruncului și, prin urmare, simțeau și ei iubirea pe care pruncul o emana și ardeau de dragoste arzătoare pentru pruncul Iisus. Deși evenimentele legate de nașterea lui Iisus sunt considerate doar o legendă, oricine este plin de spiritul lui Dumnezeu, al cărui spirit este trezit, știe că tot ceea ce a supraviețuit ca și cunoaștere printre oameni despre nașterea lui Iisus este adevăr. Minuni peste minuni au avut loc în jurul Pruncului Însuși, în natură, în Ceruri și pe Pământ, iar toți îngerii din ceruri și-au plecat genunchii în fața Celui care S-a întrupat în pruncul Iisus, așa cum oamenii și animalele au fost cuprinși de cea mai sfântă admirație și tăcere atunci când a avut loc cea mai mare minune, întruparea lui Dumnezeu în Iisus. Și cel al cărui spirit este trezit, inima lui va pronunța și ea cu convingere cuvintele: "Mântuirea a venit de sus....". Pentru că actul de iubire al Mântuitorului Iisus Hristos strălucește și asupra lui, el face parte dintre cei pentru a căror mântuire a venit Mântuitorul pe Pământ, el face parte dintre cei răscumpărați pentru care s-a săvârșit lucrarea de milă pe cruce, pentru că a vrut să fie răscumpărat din păcat și moarte. Și nu va vorbi doar cu buzele sale despre nașterea lui Hristos, ci va urmări în inima sa tot ceea ce s-a întâmplat în acea noapte când lumina lumii a coborât pe Pământ, când a văzut pruncul Iisus lumina lumii. Și se va alătura imnului de laudă: "Pace pe pământ și bunăvoință oamenilor de bunăvoință....".
