'Test all things and keep what is good....'

Test all things and keep what is good.... I say this to those who are inclined to doubt, who don't possess the ability to make correct judgments and are apprehensive about accepting spiritual knowledge which is offered to them in an unusual way. Accept it with a completely open mind, and then ask Me for enlightenment of spirit and reflect on what you have received.... And, for the time being, ignore what seems unacceptable to you because you are at present unable to understand it, and enjoy what, after serious examination, is credible to you.... I don't expect you to have blind faith, I expect you to test the spiritual knowledge which is made accessible to you; you are meant to think about it, and it is better you reject what seems incomprehensible to you than accept everything unreservedly, for if you have not formed an opinion about such mental concepts they will not be of benefit to you.... But if you are serious and want the pure truth, then you will also clearly recognise the truth if My messengers offer you spiritual knowledge which has originated from Me. For this Word contains the strength to give life.... providing, however, that life is being aspired to.

Test all things and keep what is good.... Do these Words not contradict the imposition of believing something without thinking about it? After all, I Myself leave it up to you what to believe when I ask you to keep 'what is good'.... I leave it up to you because I don't demand blind faith from you humans. But why do you, who demand that 'thinking about religious doctrines' must be avoided, stop people from examining.... Are you not acting against My will? And are you also aware of the consequences such compulsion of faith will have on people? Time and again I emphasise freedom of will, time and again I bring the individual person's responsibility for his decision of will to the fore, time and again I caution against spiritual compulsion and explain to you what really matters in earthly life....

And the Scripture, too, provides you with the evidence with these Words 'Test all things and keep what is good....', which should make every person, who genuinely wants to fulfil My will, suspicious that they don't coincide with the ecclesiastical laws and make him think.... After all, whose Word, whose teachings, are more credible? And you cannot imply any other meaning to these My Words but that you should form an opinion about every religious dogma. You are supposed to form an opinion of it, regardless of who presents spiritual knowledge to you, for even the pure truth coming from Me, which is conveyed to you directly from above, may be scrutinised by you, and I will not condemn you if you think that you cannot accept everything without hesitation.... You should only always seek advice from Me and I will give you the understanding of what you need for the maturity of your souls.... And if you still have a low degree of maturity, you will not be able to understand everything, but you yourselves determine what you are prepared to accept.... Test all things and keep what is good.... For by doing so you prove the sincerity of your attitude and your desire for truth. But anyone who accepts something without checking it demonstrates his indifference, and he will never move within the truth either, because it is irrelevant to him. Yet this kind of attitude should never be promoted by a responsible person, people should be encouraged and not stopped to reflect on spiritual knowledge, for only then will it be beneficial and help the human being attain maturity of soul, since free will is being employed and its decision alone is important....

"Cercetați totul și păstrați ce este mai bun...."

Cercetați totul și păstrați ce este mai bun.... Iată ce le spun celor care sunt înclinați să se îndoiască, care nu au o judecată corectă și care se tem să accepte bunurile spirituale care le sunt oferite în mod neobișnuit. Lăsați să vi se prezinte complet fără prejudecăți, iar apoi cereți-Mi iluminarea spiritului și reflectați asupra a ceea ce ați primit.... Iar ceea ce vi se pare inacceptabil pentru că nu sunteți încă în măsură să înțelegeți, eliminați-l pentru moment și reîmprospătați-vă cu ceea ce vă este credibil după o examinare serioasă.... Nu vă cer să credeți orbește, vă cer să examinați cunoștințele spirituale care vă sunt aduse; ar trebui să vă gândiți la ele și este mai bine pentru voi să respingeți ceea ce vi se pare de neînțeles decât să acceptați totul fără ezitare, căci astfel de cunoștințe mentale nu vă vor aduce nicio binecuvântare dacă nu ați luat încă o poziție mentală în privința lor.... Dar dacă sunteți serioși și doriți adevărul pur, atunci veți recunoaște clar adevărul și atunci când vi se oferă prin mesagerii Mei cunoștințe spirituale care își au originea în Mine. Căci acest Cuvânt are în el însuși puterea de a da viață.... cu condiția, însă, ca această viață să fie căutată. Testați totul și păstrați ce este mai bun.... Nu contrazic aceste cuvinte ideea de a crede fără să vă gândiți la aceasta? Eu Însumi las la latitudinea voastră ceea ce credeți atunci când vă cer să păstrați "ce este mai bun".... Vă las pe voi să decideți, pentru că nu cer credință oarbă de la voi, oamenii. Dar de ce îi împiedicați pe oameni să examineze, de la care cereți ca o ,,reflecție asupra doctrinelor de credință” să fie evitată....? Nu cumva acționați împotriva voinței Mele? Și sunteți atunci conștienți de consecințele pe care o astfel de credință obligatorie le aduce oamenilor? În repetate rânduri subliniez libertatea voinței, în repetate rânduri subliniez responsabilitatea fiecărei persoane individuale pentru decizia sa de voință, în repetate rânduri vă avertizez împotriva constrângerii spirituale și vă explic ce contează de fapt în viața pământească.... Iar Scriptura vă oferă și dovada prin aceste cuvinte: "Puneți totul la încercare și păstrați ce este mai bun.... " și orice persoană serioasă care vrea să împlinească voința Mea ar trebui să fie suspicioasă de aceste cuvinte, care nu sunt în acord cu poruncile bisericii și îl fac să se gândească la ele.... Căci al cui cuvânt, ale cui învățături sunt mai credibile? Și nu puteți să atașați acestor cuvinte ale Mele un alt înțeles decât acela de a lua atitudine față de orice doctrină de credință. Ar trebui să luați atitudine în această privință, indiferent de cine vă prezintă cunoștințele spirituale, pentru că puteți examina și voi adevărul pur de la Mine, care vă vine direct de Sus, și nu vă voi condamna dacă nu credeți că puteți accepta totul fără ezitare.... Voi trebuie doar să Mă consultați întotdeauna și Eu vă voi da înțelegerea pentru ceea ce aveți nevoie pentru a vă maturiza sufletele.... Iar dacă gradul vostru de maturitate este încă mai scăzut, atunci nu veți putea înțelege totul, dar voi înșivă stabiliți ce sunteți dispuși să acceptați.... Testați totul și păstrați ce este mai bun.... Pentru că astfel vă demonstrați seriozitatea atitudinii voastre și dorința de adevăr. Dar oricine acceptă fără să examineze dovedește indiferența sa și, de asemenea, nu se va mișca niciodată în adevăr pentru că este indiferent față de el. Cu toate acestea, o astfel de atitudine nu ar trebui încurajată niciodată de partea responsabilă, oamenii ar trebui încurajați, dar nu împiedicați să se ocupe de cunoașterea spirituală, numai atunci aceasta poate fi o binecuvântare și poate ajuta ființa umană să atingă maturitatea sufletească, pentru că atunci se folosește liberul arbitru, a cărui singură decizie contează....
