'Test all things and keep what is good....'

Test all things and keep what is good.... I say this to those who are inclined to doubt, who don't possess the ability to make correct judgments and are apprehensive about accepting spiritual knowledge which is offered to them in an unusual way. Accept it with a completely open mind, and then ask Me for enlightenment of spirit and reflect on what you have received.... And, for the time being, ignore what seems unacceptable to you because you are at present unable to understand it, and enjoy what, after serious examination, is credible to you.... I don't expect you to have blind faith, I expect you to test the spiritual knowledge which is made accessible to you; you are meant to think about it, and it is better you reject what seems incomprehensible to you than accept everything unreservedly, for if you have not formed an opinion about such mental concepts they will not be of benefit to you.... But if you are serious and want the pure truth, then you will also clearly recognise the truth if My messengers offer you spiritual knowledge which has originated from Me. For this Word contains the strength to give life.... providing, however, that life is being aspired to.

Test all things and keep what is good.... Do these Words not contradict the imposition of believing something without thinking about it? After all, I Myself leave it up to you what to believe when I ask you to keep 'what is good'.... I leave it up to you because I don't demand blind faith from you humans. But why do you, who demand that 'thinking about religious doctrines' must be avoided, stop people from examining.... Are you not acting against My will? And are you also aware of the consequences such compulsion of faith will have on people? Time and again I emphasise freedom of will, time and again I bring the individual person's responsibility for his decision of will to the fore, time and again I caution against spiritual compulsion and explain to you what really matters in earthly life....

And the Scripture, too, provides you with the evidence with these Words 'Test all things and keep what is good....', which should make every person, who genuinely wants to fulfil My will, suspicious that they don't coincide with the ecclesiastical laws and make him think.... After all, whose Word, whose teachings, are more credible? And you cannot imply any other meaning to these My Words but that you should form an opinion about every religious dogma. You are supposed to form an opinion of it, regardless of who presents spiritual knowledge to you, for even the pure truth coming from Me, which is conveyed to you directly from above, may be scrutinised by you, and I will not condemn you if you think that you cannot accept everything without hesitation.... You should only always seek advice from Me and I will give you the understanding of what you need for the maturity of your souls.... And if you still have a low degree of maturity, you will not be able to understand everything, but you yourselves determine what you are prepared to accept.... Test all things and keep what is good.... For by doing so you prove the sincerity of your attitude and your desire for truth. But anyone who accepts something without checking it demonstrates his indifference, and he will never move within the truth either, because it is irrelevant to him. Yet this kind of attitude should never be promoted by a responsible person, people should be encouraged and not stopped to reflect on spiritual knowledge, for only then will it be beneficial and help the human being attain maturity of soul, since free will is being employed and its decision alone is important....

Esaminate tutto e ritenete il meglio! Lo dico Io a coloro che tendono a dubitare, che non possiedono una giusta capacità di giudizio e sono impauriti per accettare del bene spirituale, che viene offerto loro in modo insolito. Fatevelo offrire completamente senza pregiudizio, e poi chiedeteMi l’illuminazione dello spirito, e riflettete su ciò che avete ricevuto. E quello che non vi sembra accettabile perché non siete ancora in grado di afferrarlo, escludetelo per il momento e ristoratevi di ciò che vi è credibile dopo serio esame. Io non pretendo da voi che dobbiate credere ciecamente. Io pretendo da voi un esame del bene spirituale che vi viene dato. Dovete rifletterci su, ed è meglio che rifiutiate ciò che vi pare incomprensibile piuttosto che accettarlo senza pensare. Perché un tale bene spirituale non vi porta alcuna benedizione per cui voi non avete ancora preso nessuna posizione in pensieri. Ma quando voi lo intendete sul serio, ed avete un desiderio per la pura Verità, allora riconoscerete anche chiaramente la Verità, quando vi viene apportato del bene spirituale attraverso i Miei messaggeri che ha in Me la sua origine. Perché questa Parola ha la Forza in sé di dare la vita – premesso però che si tenda alla vita.

Esaminate tutto e ritenete il meglio. Queste Parole non sono in contraddizione con l’esigenza di credere, senza riflettere su ciò? Io Stesso ve lo lascio libero ciò che credete quando vi invito a ritenere il meglio. Vi lo lascio libero, perché non pretendo da voi uomini una fede cieca. Perché impedite agli uomini di esaminare dicendo che un “riflettere sulla dottrina di fede” deve essere tralasciato? Non agite contro la Mia Volontà?

Io sottolineo sempre di nuovo la libera volontà, sempre di nuovo metto in evidenza la responsabilità di ogni singolo uomo per la sua decisione di volontà sempre di nuovo metto in guardia da costrizione spirituale e vi spiego che cosa è veramente importante nella vita terrena. Ed anche la Scrittura vi fornisce l’affermazione con queste Parole: “Esaminate tutto e ritenete il meglio” – ed ogni uomo che vuole adempiere seriamente la Mia Volontà dovrebbe stupirsi di queste parole che non coincidono con i comandamenti da parte della chiesa, e lo portano alla riflessione, perché le parole di chi, l’insegnamento di chi sono più credibili? E voi non potete dare a queste Mie Parole nessun altro senso che prendere posizione in ogni insegnamento di fede. Voi dovete prenderne posizione, non importa chi vi ha sottoposto del bene spirituale, perché anche la pura Verità da Me, che vi arriva edirettamente dall’Alto, la potete esaminare, e non vi condannerò se credete di non poter accettare tutto incondizionatamente. Soltanto dovete chiamare sempre Me per consiglio e vi darò per questo la comprensione della quale avete bisogno per la maturazione della vostra anima. E se il vostro grado di maturità è ancora basso, allora non sarete in grado di afferrare tutto, ma voi stessi determinate quello che siete disposti ad accettare.

Esaminate tutto e ritenete il meglio, perché con questo voi dimostrate la serietà del vostro pensare ed il desiderio per la Verità. Ma chi accetta tutto senza esame, dimostra la sua indifferenza e non si muoverà mai nella Verità, perché gli è indifferente. Ma una tale predisposizione d’animo non deve mai venire promossa da parte responsabile – gli uomini devono venire stimolati ma mai ostacolati nell’affrontare del bene spirituale, soltanto allora può essere una benedizione ed aiutare l’uomo a raggiungere la maturità dell’anima, perché allora viene impiegata la libera volontà, da cui soltanto dipende la decisione.
