Attention to world affairs....

You humans allow yourselves to be far more impressed by world events than is good for you, for all your thinking, your hopes and wishes are directed towards it and you find no time for contemplative hours as you take yourselves to court, as you pay attention to the course of your own development. Everything would work out satisfactorily for the individual person if he wanted to place his own shaping in the foreground and believed with conviction that world events are also directed by Me Myself.... yet always according to people's will and their spiritual nature. What you humans consider most important is only ever the result of your spiritual indifference.... it is the effect of people's spiritual low. For this determines the human will to act unkindly towards humanity, but it is also the reason for obvious disasters and thus also disturbing world events which are intended to arouse humanity and induce it to strive upwards. If only people were a little more concerned about their spiritual well-being then everything would also be in order again on earth.... people would not allow themselves to be disturbed by the actions of individuals, for then they would bring everything to Me and entrust a change to Me.... And this would truly not be to their detriment, they would also be guided earthly into calmer waters again and still reach their aim.... And thus you humans can still reckon with much disaster that is in store for earth, partly caused by human will, partly intended for you by Me Myself to change your direction of thought, to forcibly remind you of your end, when you see the lives of many people around you endangered or extinguished.... when you have to experience how powerless you are yourselves if you don't turn to the one Who alone is powerful.... But Whom you forget or don't want to acknowledge, otherwise you would make the fulfilment of His will your concern and then also enjoy His protection in every adversity and danger, even if these threaten you on your part. If you live with Me then you pay little attention to world events because you commend yourselves and your actions to Me, because you also trust Me to help you. But if you exclude Me from your thoughts, if you only pay attention to what My adversary is doing.... then My adversary will tie you up himself through the events which are his work, and you will get caught up in the whirlpool which pulls you in.... Whatever happens in the world, My will and My might can banish it, and My will and My might can also avert the effect of all evil from you who submit yourselves to Me, who take refuge in Me, who commend yourselves to Me and see in Me your father.... You truly need not fear the world if you turn your eyes upwards to Me, if you disregard the earthly kingdom but eagerly strive for the spiritual kingdom.... Nothing need frighten you, even if hell rages around you, I will guide you through all dangers as long as you are in contact with Me through your will, your love and your striving.... as well as your eyes are spiritually directed.... You will in no way be threatened by danger, for nothing can happen to you but what serves you towards perfection.... If you strive for your spiritual perfection you will no longer fear worldly events or disturbing occurrences, for you will feel safe in My protection....

세상에서 일어나는 일에 주의를 기울이는 일.

너희 사람들은 세상에서 일어나는 일에 의해 너희에게 좋은 것보다 더 많은 영향을 받는다. 왜냐면 너희의 모든 생각과 희망과 소원이 세상 일로 향하고 너희가 너희 자신을 점검하고 너희 자신의 성장 과정에 주의를 기울이는 명상할 시간을 찾지 못할 것이기 때문이다. 사람이 자신을 형성하는 일을 전면에 내세우고 세상에서 일어나는 일이 나 자신에 의해 인도 된다는 것을 확신을 가지고 믿는다면, 모든 일이 각각의 사람들을 만족시켜 줄 것이다. 그러나 항상 사람들의 의지와 그들의 영적인 성품에 따라 모든 일이 각각의 사람들을 만족시켜 줄 것이다.

너희 사람들이 가장 중요하게 여기는 일은 항상 단지 영적인 무관심의 결과이고 사람들의 영적으로 저조한 상태로 인해 나타난 일이다. 왜냐면 영적으로 저조한 상태가 인간의 의지를 인류를 향한 사랑이 없는 행동을 하게 만들고 또한 드러나는 불행을 일으키고 이로써 또한 세상에서 일어나는 불안한 일의 원인이 되고 이런 일이 인류가 흔들어 높은 곳을 추구하게 만들어야 한다. 나아가야 할 불안한 세계 사건을 정당화하기 때문이다.

사람들이 자신의 영적인 안녕을 조금 더 염려한다면, 이 땅의 모든 일이 다시 정리될 것이고 사람들은 개인의 행동에 의해 자신을 불안하게 만들지 않을 것이다. 왜냐면 그들은 모든 일을 나에게 아뢰고 나에게 변화가 일어나도록 맡길 것이기 때문이다. 이런 일은 진실로 그들에게 해를 끼치지 않을 것이고 그들은 또한 이 땅에서 더 잔잔한 물로 다시 인도받고 그럴지라도 그들의 목적지에 도달하게 될 것이다.

그러므로 너희는 아직 이 땅이 많은 재난을 당하는 일을 예상할 수 있다. 너희가 너희 주변의 많은 사람들의 생명이 위험에 처하거나 또는 죽게 되는 일을 보고 유일하게 권세가 충만한 분에게 너희가 도움을 요청하지 않으면, 너희 자신이 얼마나 무기력한지 경험해야만 하게 되는 일이 일어난다면, 이런 재난은 부분적으로는 인간의 의지에 의해 일어나고 부분적으로는 나 자신이 의도로 인해 일어나고 너희의 생각의 방향을 바꾸고 강제적으로 너희가 너희의 종말을 기억하게 만들기 위해 일어난다. 그러나 너희는 유일하게 권세가 충만한 분을 잊어버리거나 인정하기를 원하지 않는다. 그렇지 않다면 너희는 그 분의 뜻이 성취되는 일에 관심을 갖게 되었을 것이고 그러면 비록 인간의 편에서 너희를 위협할지라도 너희는 모든 고난과 위험 가운데 그 분의 보호를 누리게 되었을 것이다.

너희가 나와 함께 살면, 너희는 세상의 사건에 거의 관심을 기울이지 않게 된다. 왜냐면 너희가 너희 자신과 너희의 형편을 나에게 맡기고 너희가 또한 내가 너희를 도울 것을 신뢰하기 때문이다. 그러나 너희가 나를 너희의 생각에서 떠나게 하면, 너희는 단지 내 대적자가 하는 일에 주의를 기울이게 된다. 그러면 내 대적자가 그의 역사로 일어나는 일을 통해 너희를 묶고 너희는 너희를 끌어들이는 소용돌이 속으로 들어가게 된다. 세상에서 무슨 일이 일어나든 내 의지와 내 권세가 그일을 막을 수 있고 내 의지와 내 권세가 또한 모든 나쁜 일을 너희가 피하게 해줄 수 있다. 이를 위해 너희가 나에게 순종해야 하고 나를 도피처로 삼아야 하고 너희 자신을 나에게 맡겨야 하고 내 안의 아버지를 봐야 한다.

너희가 너희의 시선을 나에게 향하게 하고 세상의 나라를 경시하고 영의 나라를 열심히 추구하면, 너희는 진실로 세상의 나라를 세상을 두려워할 필요가 없다. 너희 주위에서 지옥이 분노할지라도 너희는 전혀 놀랄 필요가 없다. 너희가 너희의 의지와 너희의 사랑과 너희의 추구를 통해 나와 연결을 이루고 너희의 시선을 영적인 방향으로 향하게 하면, 내가 너희를 모든 위험을 통과하도록 인도할 것이다. 너희는 절 대로 위험에 처하지 않게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 너희가 온전하게 되도록 도움을 주는 일 외에는 너희에게 어떤 일도 일어나지 않을 것이기 때문이다. 너희가 영적으로 온전하게 되기 위해 노력한다면, 너희는 또한 더 이상 세상적인 사건이나 불안한 사건들을 두려워하지 않게 된다. 왜냐면 너희가 내 보호 아래 행복하게 느끼기 때문이다.
