"No one can serve two masters...."

No one can serve Me and the world at the same time.... Anyone who turns his eye to the world cannot see Me because I keep Myself hidden as long as the human being's mind is only focused on the world.... For I and the world do not belong together, the world is My adversary's kingdom, but My kingdom is not of this world. Therefore, anyone who wants to find Me has to leave the world behind, he has to turn away from it, because I can be found in the opposite direction, because My kingdom lies elsewhere than the earthly world. I am one lord, and My servants cannot serve another lord at the same time who gives them opposing commands, which therefore are not in accordance with My will. But the human being shall decide, he can choose his own master, he is not forced into service for one or the other, he has free will and this must drive him towards the master whose servant he wants to be. Yet there are not two equally good lords between whom he is to choose, but the kingdom of light is ruled by the one, the kingdom of darkness by the other. Therefore it should certainly be easy for you to make the right decision, yet in your delusion you often don't recognize the kingdom of darkness because many dazzling lights deceive you, because the prince of the world attractively presents his kingdom to you, whereas My kingdom can only be recognized with spiritual eyes which you still keep closed. But if you voluntarily decide in favour of Me an exceedingly bright light will shine upon you which will no longer cause any desire for the world to arise in you.... And with joy you will serve your lord, with eagerness you will fulfil everything He instructs you to do, you will no longer feel like His servants but His children to Whom you completely submit your will. And you must gladly and naturally turn away from the world because the kingdom no longer appeals to you, which gives you no true light, which lies far away from My kingdom, which is not of this world. Yet I demand complete devotion from those who want to serve Me, I don't want them to still look back to the kingdom they left, I don't want them to also serve the one who is My adversary, for I demand unconditional loyalty from My servants, I demand love for their lord and master, because only then can the work be done properly which is absolutely necessary, which I have instructed My servants to do because they shall support Me, because this work has to be carried out by people who are completely devoted to Me....

No one can serve two masters.... And therefore you must decide, you must question your heart to whom it urges you, you must renounce your love and desire, which still apply to the world, if you want to serve Me, if you want to enter My service, then you must change your love and desires, you must direct them towards spiritual goods, towards the kingdom in which I alone am ruler, and your decision will be right and earn you a blissful fate in eternity, in the kingdom which will remain when the earthly world passes away and which is your true home....

"누구도 두 주인을 섬길 수 없다."

아무도 나와 세상을 동시에 섬길 수 없다. 세상으로 눈을 돌리는 사람은 인간의 심장이 세상을 향하는 동안에는 나를 볼 수 없다. 왜냐면 사람의 감각이 단지 세상을 향한 동안에는 내가 나를 숨기고, 나와 세상이 함께 속하지 않기 때문이다. 세상은 내 대적자의 나라이지만 내 나라는 이 세상의 것이 아니다. 그러므로 나를 찾기 원하는 사람은 세상을 떠나야 한다. 왜냐면 세상 반대편에서 나를 찾을 수 있고, 내 나라는 세상의 나라가 아닌 다른 곳에 있기 때문이다.

내가 주인이고, 내 종들은 동시에 다른 주인을 섬길 수 없다. 다른 주인은 내 뜻과 일치하지 않는 반대되는 계명을 그들에게 내리기 때문이다. 그러나 사람이 정해야 하고, 스스로 자신의 주인을 택할 수 있고, 둘 중 하나를 섬기도록 강요받지 않는다. 그는 자유의지를 가지고 있고, 자유의지가 그를 그가 원하는 종의 주인에게 이끌어야만 한다. 그러나 그가 정해야 할 똑같이 좋은 두 주인은 없고, 한 주인이 빛의 나라를, 다른 주인이 어두움의 나라를 통치한다. 그러므로 너희가 올바른 결정을 내리는 일이 쉽다. 그러나 너희는 눈이 멀어 자주 어두움의 나라를 깨닫지 못한다. 왜냐면 많은 거짓 빛이 너희를 속이고, 세상의 권세자가 너희에게 그의 나라를 매력적으로 보여주는 반면에 내 나라는 단지 영의 눈으로 깨달을 수 있고, 너희의 영의 눈이 아직 닫혀 있기 때문이다.

그러나 너희가 자발적으로 나를 위해 결정하면, 아주 밝은 빛이 너희에게 비추고, 너희 안에 더 이상 세상을 향한 갈망이 솟아나지 않게 된다. 너희는 기쁨으로 너희 주님을 섬기고, 주님이 너희에게 명하는 모든 일을 열심히 성취시킬 것이다. 너희는 더 이상 주님의 종으로 느끼지 않고, 너희의 의지를 완전히 종속시키는 주님의 자녀로 느낄 것이다. 너희는 세상과 결별하는 일을 자원하여 당연히 이뤄야만 한다. 왜냐면 너희에게 진정한 빛을 주지 않고, 세상에서 온 나라가 아닌 내 나라로부터 멀리 떨어져 있는 나라가 더 이상 너희에게 자극을 주지 못하기 때문이다.

그러나 나는 나를 섬기기 원하는 사람에게 전적인 헌신을 요구하고, 그들이 떠난 나라를 뒤돌아 보는 일을 원하지 않고, 나는 그들이 내 대적자를 섬기기를 원하지 않는다. 그러나 나는 내 종들에게 조건이 없는 충성심과 그들의 주님인 선생님을 향한 사랑을 요구한다. 왜냐면 그러면 그들이 단지 절대적으로 필요한 일을 위해 내가 그들을 고용한 일을 올바르게 수행할 수 있기 때문이고, 이 일이 나에게 전적으로 순종하는 사람들에 의해 이뤄져야만 하고, 그들이 나를 지원해야 하기 때문이다.

아무도 두 주인을 섬길 수 없다. 그러므로 너희가 결정해야만 하고, 너희가 누구에게 이끌리는 지 너희 심장에게 질문해야만 한다. 너희가 나를 섬기기 원하면, 너희는 아직 세상을 향한 너희의 사랑과 욕망을 버려야만 한다. 너희가 나를 섬기는 일에 나서기를 원한다면, 너희는 너희의 사랑과 욕망을 바꿔야만 하고, 너희의 사랑을 영적인 재물과 내가 유일한 통치자인 나라로 향하게 해야만 한다. 그러면 너희의 결정은 올바르게 될 것이고, 너희는 이 땅의 세계가 사라질지라도 지속이 되고, 너희의 진정한 고향인 나라에서 영원히 축복을 받게 될 것이다.
