Office of the word recipient.... graces and duties....

You have been given a beautiful task to be mediators between Me and people. This mediation requires the fulfilment of conditions, but it also imposes duties. You are required to engage in spiritual work which is indispensably necessary for the redemption of the spiritual. I can only demand such work where the ability to do it exists, which is why I choose My co-workers from amongst people who are certainly all called to it but not all of whom meet the demands made on such work. I choose for Myself those whom I deem suitable for it....

A mediatorial office is also connected with a certain distribution of grace because otherwise a person's strength would not be sufficient to be able to administer it, for this means a mediation of something divine to people who suffer a lack of it. But if a person is to give something divine to his fellow human beings then he must first receive it himself and then pass it on, i.e. receive as much as an unusual grace which he does not deserve in itself because his state of maturity has not reached the degree to be provided with divine emanation of grace. Yet people's spiritual need requires unusual help, that is, a supply of spiritual strength which can only reach them by way of mediation. Therefore, only those people are suitable as mediators who completely turn their will towards Me, who have established the relationship of a child with Me and humbly appeal to Me for an influx of grace in order to be able to help their fellow human beings whose spiritual hardship they recognize and whom they would like to help. I gladly take these people into My service and bless their love for Me and their fellow human beings and shower them with blessings, because I truly know that they also make good use of them. But I look into the hearts of those who want to serve Me and consider each one according to the state of his heart. And thus I judge according to the degree of unselfish neighbourly love, for this determines the measure of grace I can now bestow. This is the first condition to serve Me as a mediator, that pure unselfish neighbourly love fills him, because only this establishes the bond between him and Me and makes him suitable to be a mediator. Furthermore, he must be filled with the desire to experience what is good, right and true about Me and to pass this very good, right and true on in the knowledge that his fellow human beings lack it. And he must ask Me from the bottom of his heart and in deepest humility that I help all people through him. Then I will distribute My gifts of grace unmeasured and leave no request unfulfilled, for it is My servant's spiritual hardship which prompts him to make himself available to Me and his fellow human beings. And thus he is suitable as a co-worker in the great act of salvation and is accepted by Me.

(12.11.1951) But now he also has duties.... to work with the treasure of grace which he now constantly receives from Me. For he is a mediator.... he shall establish the connection between Me and people, he shall also distribute the gifts which are intended for everyone, he shall step in where My direct activity is not yet possible. I want to give all people what they need, yet for the most part they make it impossible for Me, they cannot be provided for in a supernatural way, and therefore I avail Myself of willing people who are now active on My behalf, who mediate between Me and people.

The work of passing on My treasure of grace is of utmost importance and must be urgently demanded by Me when servants offer themselves to Me for work in My vineyard. The transmission of My word to earth would be completely useless if it were only to serve one person, even though it is also intended to help him achieve beatitude. But the activity of love, which is demanded by My word, consists of giving, of distributing what the other lacks.

But I let My word shine down to earth because the whole of humanity suffers from a lack of it and because it has to be conveyed to them in a way which does not force them to believe. This can only happen through people who are so in contact with Me that they hear My word but who are also in contact with their fellow human beings in order to pass it on again. Therefore, anyone who receives My word as a mediator has a great work to do.... to be the proclaimer of My word, to speak whenever the opportunity presents itself, to direct fellow human beings' thoughts towards Me and to always mention My love and My activity, in short.... to carry My gospel out into the world....

Such a mediatorial office should not be felt as a burden, it should be administered with joy and devotion and be the epitome of serving love. It is the greatest work of love that a human being can do, to save the soul of a fellow human being from darkness. It is the greatest work of mercy to help a sick soul to recovery, and it is an exceedingly pleasing work of filial love to Me when My mission is fulfilled in humility and obedience. What I give is always intended for all My creatures if they do not oppose it, if they do not reject My gift of grace. Therefore you, My messengers of love and light, My labourers in My vineyard, should spare no effort when it comes to spreading My teaching of love. You should eagerly proclaim the gospel to your fellow human beings, you should inform them of the knowledge which also makes you happy yourselves, and you should testify to My love and might; you should present Me to people as a God of love, as a father Who longs for His children and imparts His word to them so that they will become blessed.... You shall proclaim Me and My love, My wisdom and might.... and then you shall rightly administer the office for which I have chosen you....

말씀 받는 직분. 은혜와 의무.

너희는 나와 사람들 사이의 중재자가 되는 아름다운 과제를 받았다. 이런 중재하는 직분은 조건을 충족시키는 일을 요구하지만 의무도 부과가 된다. 너희는 영적인 일을 하도록 요구를 받는다. 이 일은 영적인 존재의 구원을 위해 절대적으로 필요한 일이다. 나는 그런 일을 행할 능력이 있는 사람에게서 단지 그런 일을 행하도록 요구할 수 있다. 그러므로 나는 사람들 가운데 동역자를 택하고, 그들 모두가 실제 이런 일을 하도록 부름을 받았지만, 그러나 그들에게 주어진 일에 적합한 모든 요구사항을 충족시키지 못하는 사람들 중에서 택하고, 나 자신이 그 일에 적합하다고 생각하는 사람을 택한다.

중재하는 일은 또한 어떤 은혜를 나눠주는 일과 관련되어 있다. 왜냐면 그렇지 않으면 사람의 힘이 중재하는 일을 행할 수 있을 만큼 충분하지 못할 것이고, 중재하는 일은 고통받는 사람들에게 부족해서 고통당하는 어떤 하나님의 것을 전하는 일을 의미하기 때문이다. 그러나 사람이 이웃에게 하나님의 것을 주려면, 그 자신이 먼저 하나님의 것을 받은 후에 전해야 한다. 즉 그의 성숙한 정도가 상태가 하나님의 은혜의 발산을 받을 정도에 도달하지 못했기 때문에 그가 벌어드리지 않은 특별한 은혜를 받아야만 한다. 그러나 사람들의 영적 위험이 특별하게 도움을 주는 일이 필요하다. 즉 단지 전해주는 일을 통해 그들이 받을 수 있는 영적인 힘을 공급해주는 일이 필요하다.

그러므로 그들의 의지를 전적으로 모두 나에게 향하게 하고, 나와 자녀의 관계를 맺고, 그들의 이웃의 영적인 위험을 알고 지원하기 원하는 이웃을 도울 수 있기 위해 나에게 겸손하게 은혜를 구하는 사람들이 단지 중재로서 합당하다. 나는 이런 사람들을 나를 섬기는 일을 위해 기꺼이 택하고 나와 이웃을 향한 그들의 사랑을 축복하고 그들에게 은혜를 넘치게 베푼다. 왜냐면 내가 진실로 그들이 이 은혜를 올바르게 활용한다는 것을 알기 때문이다. 그러나 나는 나를 섬기기 원하는 사람들의 심장을 보고, 각 사람의 심장의 상태에 따라 고려해준다. 그러므로 나는 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 이웃사랑의 정도에 따라 판단한다. 왜냐면 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 이웃사랑이 이제 내가 제공할 수 있는 은혜의 정도를 정하기 때문이다.

자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 순수한 이웃 사랑으로 충만하게 되는 일이 중재자로서 나를 섬기기 위한 첫 번째 조건이다. 왜냐면 이런 사랑이 비로소 그와 나 사이를 연결시키고 그를 중재자로서 적합하게 만들기 때문이다. 그는 더 나아가 나에게서 선과 의와 진리를 체험하려는 소원으로 충만해야만 하고, 또한 이웃에게 선과 의와 진리가 부족하다는 것을 아는 가운데 이 선과 의와 진리를 정확하게 전해주려는 소원으로 충만해야만 한다. 그는 심장과 깊은 겸손으로 내가 그를 통해 모든 사람을 도울 수 있도록 나에게 구해야만 한다. 그러면 나는 측량할 수 없는 은혜의 선물을 그에게 부어주고 그의 어떤 요청도 성취시켜주지 않고 남겨두지 않는다. 왜냐면 영적인 위험이 내 종들이 나와 이웃을 위해 자신을 드리게 하는 원인이기 때문이다. 그러므로 그는 큰 구속 역사의 협력자로서 적합하고 내가 그를 받아드린다.

(1951년 11월 12일) 그러나 그에게 또한 그가 나로부터 끊임없이 받는 은혜의 선물을 가지고 일할 의무가 있다. 왜냐면 그가 중재자이기 때문이다. 그는 나와 사람들 사이의 연결을 이뤄야 하고, 모든 사람을 위한 선물을 사람들에게 나눠줘야 하고, 내가 직접 역사하는 일이 아직 불가능한 곳에서 개입해야 한다. 나는 모든 사람에게 필요한 것을 주기를 원한다. 그러나 대부분의 사람들이 내가 주는 일을 불가능하게 만든다. 내가 초자연적인 방식으로 그들에게 줄 수 없고, 그러므로 나는 나를 대신하여 활동하고 나와 사람들 사이에서 자원하여 중재하려는 사람을 사용한다.

내 은혜의 보물을 전하는 일이 가장 중요하고, 종들이 내 포도원에서 일하기 위해 자신을 나에게 드리면, 내가 종들에게 긴급하게 이 일을 요구해야만 한다. 내 말씀을 이 땅으로 전하는 일이 비록 한 사람 자신이 축복에 도달하도록 도울지라도, 단지 한 사람만을 위한 일이라면, 완전히 쓸모가 없는 일이 되었을 것이다. 그러나 내 말씀이 요구하는 사랑을 행하는 일은 이웃에게 부족한 것을 나눠주는 일이다.

나는 내 말씀을 이 땅으로 보낸다. 왜냐면 인류 전체가 내 말씀이 없어 고통을 겪고 있고, 인류가 믿도록 강요하지 않는 방식으로 내 말씀을 제공해야만 하기 때문이다. 이런 일은 단지 사람을 통해 일어날 수 있다. 이런 사람은 나와 연결되어 내 말씀을 들을 수 있고 또한 다시 전하기 위해 이웃과 접촉하는 사람이다. 중재자로서 내 말씀을 받는 사람은 이제 많은 일을 해야만 한다. 이 일은 기회가 주어질 때 항상 내 말씀을 전하고 말하는 일이고, 이웃의 생각을 나에게 향하게 하는 일이고, 항상 내 사랑과 내 역사를 거론하는 일이다. 짧게 말해 내 복음을 세상에 전하는 일이다.

이런 중보자의 직분을 부담으로 느껴서는 안 되고, 기쁨과 헌신으로 관리해야 하고, 본질적으로 섬기는 사랑이 돼야 한다. 이웃의 혼을 어두움에서 구하는 일은 사람이 할 수 있는 가장 큰 사랑의 역사이고, 병든 혼이 회복될 수 있도록 돕는 일이 가장 큰 긍휼의 역사이다. 사람이 겸손과 순종으로 사명을 다하면, 이런 역사는 내가 아주 기뻐하는 자녀가 행하는 사랑의 역사이다.

내가 주는 것은 항상 내 피조물들이 거부하지 않는다면, 즉 그들이 내 은혜의 선물을 거절하지 않는다면, 내 모든 피조물을 향한 것이다. 그러므로 내 사랑과 빛의 사자로써 내 포도원에서 일하는 너희는 내 사랑의 가르침을 전하는 일을 위해서는 어떤 노력도 아끼지 말아야 한다. 너희는 모든 열심으로 이웃에게 복음을 선포하고, 너희 자신을 또한 행복하게 하는 지식을 그들에게 알려줘야 하고, 내 사랑과 능력에 대해 증거해야 한다. 너희는 사람들에게 나를 사랑의 하나님으로, 자신의 자녀들을 사모하고 자녀들이 축복을 받도록 자녀들에게 말씀을 주는 아버지로 알려줘야 한다. 너희는 자녀들에게 나와 내 사랑을 알려주고, 내 지혜와 능력에 대해 알려줘야 한다. 그러면 너희는 내가 너희를 택한 너희의 직분을 올바르게 수행한 것이다.
