No one can serve two masters....

He who can give up everything will also gain everything. You cannot serve two masters, the world and Me at the same time, but you must give up one if you want to win the other. Thus you must sacrifice the world if you want to gain Me, but then you will receive more than the earthly world, for the kingdom, which is My share, is incomparably more beautiful than the world you gave up for My sake. But if you want to possess the world then you cannot possess Me at the same time, for I am not to be found there, and those who seek Me must do so outside the earthly world. You will truly not lose much if you give up the world for My sake, for I will compensate you for the loss a thousand fold and you will never regret it once you have gained Me. My kingdom is not of this world, therefore you should not attach your heart to that which is worthless, and you must make an effort to be accepted into that land and learn to despise the earthly world. You must free yourselves from all earthly possessions, from all desire for them, and only strive for that which is eternal, which belongs to Me and therefore must be extremely valuable. Leave behind what belongs to earth and strive towards My kingdom.... turn your eyes heavenwards and you will see more than earth can ever offer you. Learn to overcome the world if you want to possess Me, and decide what is of greater value to you.... but decide for what is right, for it concerns your fate after death, it concerns eternal life....

Niemand kann zweien Herren dienen....

Wer alles hingeben kann, der wird auch alles gewinnen. Ihr könnet nicht zweien Herren dienen, der Welt und gleichzeitig Mir, sondern ihr müsset das eine aufgeben, so ihr das andere gewinnen wollet. Also müsset ihr die Welt opfern, so ihr Mich erringen wollet, dann aber empfanget ihr mehr als die irdische Welt, denn das Reich, das Mein Anteil ist, ist unvergleichlich schöner als die Welt, die ihr Mir zuliebe aufgebet. Wollet ihr aber die Welt besitzen, dann könnet ihr nicht gleichzeitig auch Mich besitzen, denn dort bin Ich nicht zu finden, und die Mich suchen, müssen es außerhalb der irdischen Welt tun. Ihr verlieret wahrlich nicht viel, so ihr die Welt hingebet um Meinetwillen, denn Ich ersetze euch den Verlust tausendfach, und nimmermehr werdet ihr es bereuen, so ihr Mich einmal gewonnen habt. Mein Reich ist nicht von dieser Welt, darum sollet ihr euer Herz nicht an das hängen, was wertlos ist, und ihr müsset euch bemühen, in jenes Land aufgenommen zu werden, und die irdische Welt verachten lernen. Ihr müsset euch frei machen von allem irdischen Gut, von jedem Verlangen danach, und allein das anstreben, was ewig ist, was Mir angehört und darum überaus wertvoll sein muß. Was der Erde angehört, das lasset hinter euch und strebet Meinem Reiche zu.... wendet eure Blicke himmelwärts, und ihr werdet mehr erschauen, als euch je die Erde bieten kann. Lernet die Welt überwinden, so ihr Mich besitzen wollet, und entscheidet euch, was für euch von größerem Wert ist.... doch entscheidet euch für das Rechte, denn es geht um euer Los nach dem Tode, es geht um das ewige Leben....
