God’s word.... parables.... imagery.... people's unwillingness....

You will only understand the meaning of My words if you are serious about standing in truth. I have always spoken to people in parables in order to stimulate them to think, otherwise the words would have fallen on their ears if they did not have the serious will to think about them. I gave free rein to their thoughts and therefore suggested everything to them accordingly. The imagery was intended to bring to life in them what I had to say to them.... And thereby I achieved more with those people than with a dry teaching which remained incomprehensible to them until they possessed deeper realization through a life of love. And in this way My teaching was also written down according to My will. And again, it only requires the individual's serious will to penetrate the core of My teaching, which was veiled by parables and figurative paraphrasing in order to encourage the human being to think about it. This is truly a small requirement to take My word as the content of one's thoughts, to seriously think about the meaning and purpose of those words which contain My teaching of love, and anyone who has the serious will will also soon understand the meaning and be able to give a correct explanation himself in case of dispute. For I want people to discuss My word, only then will they receive the right blessing from it, only then will the seed planted in the soil come up. Speech and counter-speech stick in the memory more than a written word which is read over if the person does not have the need to draw deeper knowledge from the scriptures which reproduce My word. Through speech and counter-speech the human being is forced to take a stand and to express his thoughts. Therefore it is far more successful to cultivate an exchange of thoughts in a small circle than to listen to My word without being allowed to express it in return, for the human being's intellect certainly accepts My word but not the heart, which is then dependent on the human being's will to encourage the intellect to convey to the heart what it has received through listening. However, what is heard usually escapes the intellect without the heart having taken notice of it, and then My words are completely meaningless because their meaning would be hidden from the intellect but obvious to the heart. And therefore I had My word written down in this form by the disciples, well considering most people's unwillingness to deal with these words of Mine in detail. Yet I have made it dependent on their thinking about it to what extent My word becomes comprehensible to them....

Gottes Wort.... Gleichnisse.... Bildersprache.... Unlust der Menschen....

Ihr werdet den Sinn Meiner Worte erst dann verstehen, so es euch ernst ist darum, in der Wahrheit zu stehen. Ich habe stets in Gleichnissen geredet zu den Menschen, um sie zum Denken anzuregen, ansonsten die Worte an ihren Ohren verklungen wären, so sie nicht den ernsten Willen hatten, darüber nachzudenken. Ich ließ ihren Gedanken freien Lauf und legte ihnen daher alles entsprechungsweise nahe. Durch die Bildersprache sollte in ihnen das lebendig werden, was Ich ihnen zu sagen hatte.... Und Ich erreichte dadurch bei jenen Menschen mehr als mit einer trockenen Lehre, die ihnen unverständlich blieb, bevor sie nicht durch ein Liebeleben tiefere Erkenntnis besaßen. Und in dieser Weise ist auch Meine Lehre niedergeschrieben worden nach Meinem Willen. Und wieder gehört nur der ernste Wille des einzelnen dazu, einzudringen in den Kern Meiner Lehre, der durch Gleichnisse und bildhafte Umschreibung verhüllt worden ist, um den Menschen anzuregen, darüber nachzudenken. Es ist dies wahrlich eine geringe Anforderung, sich Mein Wort zum Inhalt der Gedanken zu nehmen, ernstlich nachzudenken über Sinn und Zweck jener Worte, die Meine Liebelehre enthalten, und jeder, der den ernsten Willen hat, wird auch bald den Sinn verstehen und selbst fähig sein, eine rechte Erklärung im Streitfall zu geben. Denn Ich will, daß sich die Menschen austauschen über Mein Wort, dann erst werden sie den rechten Segen davon haben, dann erst geht das Samenkorn auf, das in das Erdreich gepflanzt wurde. Rede und Gegenrede bleiben haften im Gedächtnis mehr als ein geschriebenes Wort, über das hinweggelesen wird, so der Mensch nicht das Bedürfnis hat, ein tieferes Wissen zu schöpfen aus der Schrift, die Mein Wort wiedergibt. Durch Rede und Gegenrede wird der Mensch gezwungen zur Stellungnahme und zur Entäußerung seiner Gedanken. Darum ist es weit erfolgreicher, einen Austausch der Gedanken zu pflegen im kleinen Kreis, als Mein Wort anzuhören, ohne eine Gegenäußerung tun zu dürfen, denn es nimmt der Verstand des Menschen wohl Mein Wort auf, nicht aber das Herz, welches nun darauf angewiesen ist, daß durch den Willen des Menschen der Verstand angehalten wird, auch dem Herzen zuzuleiten, was er durch Hören aufgenommen hat. Zumeist aber entfällt dem Verstand das Vernommene, ohne daß das Herz davon Kenntnis genommen hat, und dann sind Meine Worte völlig bedeutungslos, weil ihr Sinn dem Verstand verborgen, dem Herzen aber offenbar wäre. Und Ich habe daher Mein Wort in dieser Form von den Jüngern niederschreiben lassen, wohl bedenkend die Unlust der meisten Menschen, sich eingehend mit diesen Meinen Worten zu beschäftigen. Doch vom Nachdenken darüber habe Ich es abhängig gemacht, wieweit Mein Wort ihnen verständlich wird....
