Spiritual attachment.... souls without earthly binding....

A spiritual bond can exist where no earthly ties exist but where the souls are so attuned to each other that they complement each other and live in fullest spiritual harmony. Such souls can find each other without being physically together, but then the human being is not aware of the fact that his soul has entered into such a spiritual union, for the souls find each other without the body's involvement, it is a purely spiritual coexistence of which the human being as such knows nothing. However, as soon as the bodily cover falls, the souls strive towards each other and complement each other in the spiritual kingdom and never leave each other again. Such souls are now forced to lead a double life on earth; for the first time they fulfil the actual earthly task of enlivening their body and stimulating it to spiritual destiny, and at the same time they also help their like-minded soul to spiritualize its body so that the union of both souls can take place, which is only possible when both souls have left the physical cover. Before that, however, they can unite, as well as the body in the state of rest releases the soul.... So then the soul lives its second life.... it dwells in different surroundings, in a completely different life situation, it gives and receives love because it feels completely connected with the other soul. They strive upwards together, for as soon as a soul has spiritually found a second soul it is already advanced in its development, otherwise there is no harmony but only opposing defence....

(6.12.1948) A person can certainly feel lonely because he is not aware of the soul's bond, yet this feeling of loneliness contributes to the soul's increased maturity again and the further it progresses in its development the more it can spiritualize itself, thus already on earth it can succeed in often dwelling in spiritual spheres and being raptured from earth. The soul then lives a life separate from the body, the body does not participate because its functions are switched off when it is in a state of rest. But it takes the soul's abilities and achievements with it into those spheres and can therefore be a great blessing if it possesses much spiritual wealth itself, but it can also gain much because the soul connected to it also has spiritual wealth according to its state of maturity, which they can now exchange and thereby make each other unspeakably happy. Where such spiritual bonds exist every danger of flattening, of stagnation or decline is over, people constantly strive upwards, and this striving also lets them find each other even if they are unknown to each other as human beings. They strive towards a common aim, and in this striving the souls feel attracted to each other.... For the soul does not sleep but constantly pursues the light in its urge to ascend, and it often only reluctantly returns to its physical shell which, however, it does not completely leave in order to continue its path of earthly life until it is allowed to leave its material body and now completely unites with the soul to which it feels attracted....

Geistige Verbundenheit.... Seelen ohne irdische Bindungen....

Eine geistige Verbundenheit kann bestehen, wo keinerlei irdische Bindungen vorliegen, wo die Seelen jedoch so aufeinander abgestimmt sind, daß sie sich ergänzen und in vollster geistiger Harmonie leben. Solche Seelen können sich finden, ohne körperlich beieinander zu sein, doch dann ist sich der Mensch dessen nicht bewußt, daß seine Seele eine solche geistige Verbindung eingegangen ist, denn die Seelen finden sich ohne Beteiligung des Körpers, es ist ein rein geistiges Zusammenleben, wovon der Mensch als solcher nichts weiß. Sowie jedoch die körperliche Hülle fällt, streben die Seelen zueinander und ergänzen sich im geistigen Reich und lassen ewig nicht mehr voneinander. Solche Seelen sind nun gezwungen, auf Erden ein Doppelleben zu führen; sie erfüllen erstmalig die eigentliche Erdenaufgabe, ihren Körper zu beleben und ihn anzuregen zur geistigen Bestimmung, und sind gleichzeitig auch der ihnen gleichgesinnten Seele behilflich, deren Körper zu vergeistigen, auf daß der Zusammenschluß beider Seelen stattfinden kann, was erst dann möglich ist, wenn beide Seelen die körperliche Hülle verlassen haben. Zuvor können sie sich jedoch vereinigen, sowie der Körper im Ruhezustand die Seele frei gibt.... Dann lebt also die Seele ihr zweites Leben.... sie weilt in anderer Umgebung, in völlig anderer Lebenslage, sie gibt und empfängt Liebe, weil sie sich völlig mit der anderen Seele verbunden fühlt. Sie streben gemeinsam zur Höhe, denn sowie eine Seele geistig eine zweite Seele gefunden hat, ist sie schon fortgeschritten in ihrer Entwicklung, ansonsten es keine Harmonie gibt, sondern nur gegnerische Abwehr.... (6.12.1948) Es kann nun wohl ein Mensch sich einsam fühlen, weil er sich der seelischen Bindung nicht bewußt ist, doch dieses Gefühl der Einsamkeit trägt wieder zur erhöhten Seelenreife, bei und je weiter sie in der Entwicklung fortschreitet, desto mehr kann sie sich vergeistigen, also schon auf Erden den Erfolg haben, des öfteren in geistigen Sphären zu weilen und der Erde entrückt zu sein. Die Seele lebt dann ein vom Körper getrenntes Leben, der Körper nimmt nicht daran teil, weil seine Funktionen ausgeschaltet sind, so er sich im Ruhezustand befindet. Die seelischen Fähigkeiten und Errungenschaften aber nimmt sie mit in jene Sphären und kann demnach großen Segen stiften, so sie selbst viel besitzet an geistigem Reichtum, wie sie aber auch viel gewinnen kann, weil die mit ihr verbundene Seele ihrem Reifezustand entsprechend gleichfalls geistigen Reichtum aufzuweisen hat, den sie nun gegenseitig austauschen und sich dadurch unsagbar beglücken können. Wo solche geistige Bindungen bestehen, ist jede Gefahr einer Verflachung, eines Stillstandes oder Rückganges vorüber, die Menschen streben unausgesetzt zur Höhe, und dieses Streben lässet sie auch sich gegenseitig finden, wenn sie auch als Mensch sich unbekannt sind. Sie streben ein gemeinsames Ziel an, und in diesem Streben fühlen sich die Seelen gegenseitig angezogen.... Denn die Seele schläft nicht, sondern geht unausgesetzt dem Licht nach in ihrem Drang zur Höhe, und oft kehrt sie nur widerwillig zurück in ihre körperliche Hülle, die sie jedoch nicht gänzlich verläßt, um nun den Erdenlebensweg weiter zurückzulegen, bis sie ihren materiellen Leib verlassen darf und nun sich gänzlich vereinigt mit der Seele, zu der sie sich hingezogen fühlt....
