Love constructive force.... lovelessness destructive force....

The strongest driving force on earth should be love.... but if greed, which arises from self-love, is greater than love, the human being will miss his purpose of earthly life and his embodiment on earth will not bring him spiritual success. And therefore love, which is the sole purpose of his earthly life, cannot be preached to the human being seriously enough, for existence as a human being is only a short phase in the spiritual's ascent development which, however, can also ruin the infinitely long time of development beforehand if the human being, in freedom of will, does not make the divine law of love the fundamental principle of his earthly change. The commandment of love must again and again be presented to people as a divine commandment so that they observe it and live accordingly. And if it is therefore disregarded, the human being acts contrary to divine order, and this always has a clearly recognizable effect. Everything is out of harmony with order, to the sorrow of people themselves who live without love. For even an apparent order of external living conditions is only maintained through increased unkindness, which will always cause harm to fellow human beings, to themselves or to their possessions. All thought, speech and action which lacks love will have detrimental consequences for the soul and body of the person who lives without love.... But at the same time, as it is directed against the neighbour, it will also harm him and thus kill love but not awaken love.... For all unkindness is a driving force which has a destructive effect, opposite to love, which is in itself a force which builds up and sustains.... For it is divine, and everything divine is animating strength, thus unkindness, as completely opposite, is a strength which leads to death.... The initially ignorant being, the human being at the beginning of his earthly career, must therefore be informed of the blessing of love as well as of the spoiling unkindness.... He must be instructed and love must be presented to him as the most desirable thing on earth. And if he violates the commandment of love he must feel the effect of unkindness in himself. For this reason God will never ever intervene to prevent people from carrying out actions without love which violate all divine order, for love has to be practiced voluntarily, and thus the human being's will cannot be curtailed so that he will learn from the effects of his unkind actions, speech and thoughts how far he has distanced himself from the eternal order and strive back of his own accord.... so that he will change to love in free will. And therefore the destructive effect is not diminished by God either, and therefore there can only be a state of greatest adversity and physical tribulation on earth if love has diminished amongst people.... but also the activity of love alleviates the greatest suffering and shows people the right way to also establish orderly living conditions if only they are willing to work with love. For unselfish activity of love works wonders.... And where unkindness has caused destruction on the greatest scale, loving activity can create complete balance, and people will live in order who make the eternal law of love their fundamental principle, as it is God's will. Yet only love restores this order, for it alone is the strength which creates, enlivens and sustains, it alone is the strength which makes people happy and leads them towards their final aim.... it alone brings them success, for the sake of which the human being walks on earth.... he develops upwards, he approaches God, Who is eternal love, and his soul unites with Him through love....

사랑은 건설하는 힘이다. 사랑 없음은 파괴하는 힘이다.

사랑이 이 땅에서 가장 강력한 원동력이 돼야 한다. 그러나 자기 사랑에서 나온 소유욕이 사랑보다 크다면, 사람은 자신의 이 땅의 삶의 목적을 성취시키지 못하고, 그가 이 땅에서 육신을 입는 일이 그에게 영적인 성공을 주지 못한다. 그러므로 인간에게 아무리 진지하게 그의 이 땅의 삶의 유일한 목적인 사랑을 가르쳐도 충분할 수 없다. 왜냐면 인간으로 존재하는 기간은 영적인 존재의 성장 기간의 단지 짧은 단계이지만, 그러나 의지의 자유를 가진 인간이 그의 이 땅의 삶의 유일한 목적대로 하나님의 사랑의 법을 이 땅의 삶의 기본 원칙으로 삼지 않는다면, 이 전의 끝없이 긴 성장 기간을 무효로 만들 수 있기 때문이다.

사람들이 사랑의 계명에 순종하고, 그에 따라 살 수 있도록, 사람들에게 항상 또 다시 사랑의 계명을 하나님의 계명으로 알려줘야만 한다. 사람이 사랑의 계명을 무시한다면, 사람은 하나님의 질서와 반대로 행하고, 이런 일은 항상 분명하게 깨달을 수 있는 결과로 나타나고, 사랑이 없이 사는 사람들에게 고통이 되도록 모든 일이 같은 정도로 질서를 벗어난다. 왜냐면 외적인 삶의 형편이 겉으로 보기에 질서가 있어 보일지라도, 단지 증가된 사랑이 없는 일로 유지되며, 이런 일은 항상 이웃 사람 자신이나 그의 소유에 피해를 줄 것이기 때문이다.

사랑이 없는 모든 생각과 말과 행동이 사랑 없이 사는 사람의 혼과 몸에 해로운 결과를 가져올 것이고, 그러나 동시에 이웃에게 향하여, 이웃에게 피해를 입히고, 사랑을 죽이고, 사랑을 깨우지 않는다. 왜냐면 모든 사랑이 없는 일은, 자체가 건설하고 유지하는 힘인 사랑과는 달리, 파괴하는 역사를 일으키는 원동력이기 때문이다. 왜냐면 사랑은 신적인 것이고, 모든 신적인 것은 생명을 주는 힘이고, 이와 완전히 반대인 사랑이 없는 일은 죽음으로 인도하는 힘이기 때문이다.

그러므로 무지한 존재에게, 그의 이 땅의 삶을 시작한 인간에게 먼저 사랑의 축복에 대해, 멸망하게 만드는 사랑 없음에 대한 깨달음을 줘야만 한다. 그는 교육을 받아야만 하고, 그에게 사랑을 이 땅에서 가장 갈망할 만한 것으로 제시해줘야만 한다. 그가 사랑의 계명을 어긴다면, 그는 자신에게서 사랑이 없음의 결과를 느껴야만 한다.

그러므로 하나님은 사람들이 하나님의 모든 질서를 위반하는 사랑이 없는 행동을 할 때, 절대로 방해하지 않을 것이다. 왜냐면 자발적으로 사랑을 행해야만 하기 때문이다. 그러므로 사람의 의지에 간섭을 할 수 없다. 이로써 그가 사랑 없는 행동과 말과 생각을 깨닫고, 그가 영원한 질서로부터 얼마나 멀리 떨어져 있었는 지를 깨닫고, 스스로 돌아가려는 추구를 하게 하고, 그가 자유의지로 자신을 사랑으로 바꾸게 한다.

그러므로 하나님은 파괴하는 일의 효력을 약화시키지 않는다. 때문에 사람들 사이의 사랑이 사라질 때, 이 땅은 단지 가장 큰 고난과 육체적 환란을 맞이할 수 있다. 그러나 사랑을 행하는 일이 가장 큰 고난을 덜어주고, 사람들이 단지 자원하여 사랑을 행한다면, 사람들에게 질서 있는 삶의 형편을 확립하는 올바른 길을 보여준다. 왜냐면 자신의 유익을 구하지 않는 사랑을 행하는 일이 기적을 일으키기 때문이다.

사랑 없음이 가장 큰 파괴를 일으킨 곳에서 사랑의 역사가 완전히 보상할 수 있다. 사람들은 영원한 사랑의 법칙을 기본 원칙으로 삼는 곳에서 하나님의 뜻에 따라 질서 가운데 살게 될 것이다. 그러나 단지 사랑이 이런 질서를 회복시킨다. 왜냐면 유일하게 사랑이 창조하고, 생명력을 주고, 유지하게 하는 힘이기 때문이고, 사랑이 유일하게 사람들을 행복하게 만들고, 사람들을 그들의 최종 목표로 인도하고, 사랑이 유일하게 그들의 이 땅에 사는 목적대로 성공하게 하고, 사람은 높이 성장하고, 영원한 사랑인 하나님께 다가 가고, 그의 혼은 사랑을 통해 하나님과 하나가 되게 하기 때문이다.
