Vigilance against the enemy of souls....

You should be vigilant so that you do not fall prey to the enemy of your souls, for he is constantly intent on leading you astray and pushing you off the right path by all kinds of deceptive means. He also comes in the guise of a guide and thus tries to gain your trust; he promises to lead you safely to your goal, yet his goal is the world.... thus he promises you earthly advantages, help in earthly distress, he tries to pave the way for you, but all under one condition.... to surrender your soul to him, that is, to detach your senses and thoughts from God, from spiritual striving. And all his promises will demand deeds of heartlessness; every person who wants to gain earthly advantages will not be able to do so if he wants to live in love. Thus, he has to give up one or the other, he has to know that he is selling his soul if he wants to shape his earthly life into a life of well-being.... He must know that every attempt to do so is at the instigation of the one who wants to corrupt the soul. And he must be vigilant.... He must take refuge in God that He may protect him from the influence of the enemy, he must ask for strengthening of his will to do good and to renounce earthly goods.... For what do you exchange if you also create an earthly life for yourselves in prosperity and comfort? Only an unbearable fate for the soul in the kingdom beyond. For if the time of adversity comes upon you, it also has its wise meaning and purpose as long as it is permitted by God Himself. But the enemy of your soul pulls the lever precisely in the time of trouble.... He now tries to direct your thoughts and intentions towards what you lack in earthly goods, he tries to increase your greed for it and to capture your thoughts and only the strength of your will protects you from this. For what he promises is just a sham, it only benefits you for the few days of your earthly life only to then sink into nothingness and leave your souls in utmost poverty. Voluntarily renounce that which only makes the body happy but is of no benefit to the soul, live on earth in the poverty of the body and in return provide your souls with spiritual possessions which are everlasting and will follow you into eternity. Be vigilant against all temptations and remain in prayer. Ask for strength and grace and strengthening of your will. And your desire will decrease, earthly possessions will no longer seem so tempting to you, you will be able to resist all the enemy's whisperings and receive spiritual possessions as compensation, which will make your souls a thousand times happier because they will earn you eternal life....

Vigilância contra o inimigo das almas....

Deveria estar vigilante para não cair nas presas do inimigo das suas almas, pois ele está constantemente empenhado em desviá-lo e afastá-lo do caminho certo através de todo o tipo de meios enganosos. Ele também vem disfarçado de líder e procura assim ganhar a sua confiança; ele promete conduzi-lo com segurança ao objectivo, mas o seu objectivo é o mundo.... assim ele promete-vos vantagens terrestres, ajuda na angústia terrena, ele procura abrir-vos o caminho, mas tudo com uma condição.... Deixar a sua alma a ele, para assim desprender os seus sentidos e pensamentos de Deus, do esforço espiritual. E todas as suas promessas exigirão actos de indelicadeza; qualquer pessoa que queira criar vantagens terrenas para si próprio não o poderá fazer se quiser viver apaixonado. Por isso tem de desistir de um ou de outro, tem de saber que venderá a sua alma se quiser moldar a sua vida terrena numa vida de bem-estar.... Ele deve saber que todas as tentativas para o fazer são feitas por instigação daquele que quer corromper a alma. E ele deve estar atento.... deve refugiar-se em Deus para o proteger da influência do inimigo, deve pedir o reforço da sua vontade para o bem e a renúncia aos bens terrenos.... Para que trocais, se também criais para vós uma vida terrena em prosperidade e conforto? Apenas um destino insuportável para a alma no reino do além. Pois se o tempo da adversidade chegar a si, terá também o seu sentido e propósito sábio, desde que seja permitido pelo próprio Deus. Mas o inimigo da sua alma puxa a alavanca precisamente no momento da necessidade.... ele tenta orientar os teus pensamentos e aspirações para o que te falta nos bens terrenos, ele tenta aumentar a tua ganância por eles e capturar os teus pensamentos, e apenas a força da tua vontade te protege disso. Pois o que ele promete é apenas engano, só vos beneficiará durante os poucos dias da vossa vida terrena para depois afundar no nada e deixar as vossas almas na maior pobreza. Renunciem voluntariamente àquilo que apenas faz o corpo feliz mas não tem qualquer utilidade para a alma, vivam na terra na pobreza física e em troca forneçam às vossas almas bens espirituais que são eternos e que vos seguirão até à eternidade. Esteja vigilante contra todas as tentações e permaneça em oração. Pede força e graça e o fortalecimento da tua vontade. E o teu desejo diminuirá, os bens terrenos deixarão de te parecer tão tentadores, poderás resistir a todos os sussurros do inimigo e poderás aceitar os bens espirituais como compensação, o que fará as tuas almas mil vezes mais felizes porque te trarão a vida eterna...._>Ámen
