Spiritualization of the substances of the body....

The body should help the soul to spiritual maturity by giving itself up, by suppressing every desire and only allowing the soul's desire to come into its own, which, if the body releases it, completely surrenders to the spirit within itself, thus giving in to its desire and its urge. The more the body joins the soul's desire the more the soul's material external form spiritualizes itself, and then it no longer needs to cover such a long earthly path, whereas a completely materially attuned body still needs a long time after its physical death before it has overcome its desire. The spiritual substances of the outer forms of those souls are, as it were, refined, they are no longer so grossly material, although they are still earthly matter. The soul drags him over into the realm of the spirit to which it has granted all dominion over itself, and the body follows it willingly, it renounces everything that otherwise seemed desirable to it, it is completely without resistance and therefore also no longer turned towards the world. And a person will mature faster if body and soul are subject to the spirit within. The latter now rules them in love and wisdom.... what he demands the soul and the body carries out, and this contributes to spiritual progress. For the soul will be able to hear the voice of the spirit because the body is ready at the same time by keeping every disturbance away from the soul, by putting itself into the state that the voice of the spirit expresses itself. For the body must completely detach itself from the world, it must close its bodily ear and leave the listening to the soul so that it will then convey it to it. The less the soul is hindered by the body, the more audibly the voice of the spirit sounds to it. But the body also has great success. It overcomes matter much more easily, it is, so to speak, strengthened by the food which the soul receives, it spiritualizes itself more and more, and the soul takes spiritual substances of the body into itself when it leaves the world. The earthly material components of the body will not have to go through such a long process of maturing, sometimes they will even be admitted to the formation of a new human soul where they can completely spiritualize themselves. Where soul and body push towards the spirit, such spiritualization is guaranteed if God's eternal order is also paused in the upward development of the spirit. However, the course of ascent development can be considerably shortened when the spiritual's resistance is broken, i.e. when the spiritual itself gives up all resistance, which is always the case, when the body detaches itself from everything it otherwise strives for, when it facilitates the soul's spiritual striving by joining it and seeking to break every earthly fetter through conscious devotion and submission to the spirit within itself, which now draws soul and body to itself, and a rapid ascent development of both is now the result....

La spiritualizzazione delle sostanze del corpo

Il corpo deve aiutare l’anima alla maturità spirituale, mentre rinuncia a sé stesso, mentre sopprime ogni bramosia e fa valere solo il desiderio dell’anima che si dà del tutto allo spirito in sé, se il corpo la lascia libera, quindi cede al suo desiderare e spingere. Più il corpo si unisce al desiderio dell’anima, più si spiritualizza quindi anche la forma esteriore materiale dell’anima, e questa non deve più percorrere una via terrena così lunga, mentre invece un corpo totalmente predisposto materialmente, dopo la morte corporea ha bisogno ancora di molto tempo, prima che venga vinto il suo bramare. Le sostanze spirituali delle forme esteriori di quell’anima sono diventate più fini, non sono più di sostanza grossolana, benché siano ancora materia terrena. L’anima le attira con sé nel reame dello spirito, al quale concede ogni dominio su di sé, ed il corpo la segue volontariamente, presta rinuncia a tutto ciò che gli sembrava desiderabile, è totalmente senza resistenza e perciò nemmeno più rivolto al mondo. Ed un uomo maturerà prima, quando il corpo e l’anima si sono sottomessi allo spirito. Ora questo li governa nell’amore e nella sapienza, quello che desidera, lo eseguono l’anima ed il corpo e questo contribuisce al progresso spirituale, perché l’anima potrà sentire la voce dello spirito, perché il corpo è contemporaneamente pronto, mentre tiene lontano dall’anima ogni disturbo, mentre lui stesso si mette nella condizione che si manifesti la voce dello spirito, perché il corpo si deve totalmente staccare dal mondo, deve chiudere il suo orecchio corporeo e lasciare ascoltare l’anima, affinché questa gliela trasmetta poi. Meno l’anima viene ostacolata dal corpo, più udibile le risuona la voce dello spirito. Ma anche il corpo ne riporta un grande successo. Supera molto più facilmente la materia, è in certo qual modo fortificato attraverso il Cibo che l’anima riceve, si spiritualizza sempre di più e l’anima al suo decesso dal mondo assume in sé delle sostanze spirituali del corpo. Le parti costituenti terreno materiali del corpo non devono passare attraverso un così lungo processo di maturazione, a volte vengono persino ammesse alla formazione di una nuova anima d’uomo, dove si possono totalmente spiritualizzare. Dove l’anima ed il corpo spingono incontro allo spirito, è garantita una tale spiritualizzazione, anche se l’eterno Ordine di Dio venga osservato nello sviluppo verso l’Alto dello spirito. Ma il percorso dello sviluppo verso l’Alto può essere notevolmente abbreviato, quando è spezzata la resistenza dello spirituale, cioè quando lo spirituale stesso rinuncia ad ogni resistenza, che è sempre il caso, quando il corpo si stacca da tutto ciò a cui aspira, quando alleggerisce all’anima il tendere spirituale, mentre lui stesso si unisce con lei e cerca di spezzare ogni catena terrena attraverso la cosciente rinuncia e sottomissione allo spirito in sé, che ora attira a sé anima e corpo, e la conseguenza è un rapido sviluppo verso l’Alto di ambedue.
