The opponent's mask.... 'By their fruits ye shall know them....'

Only divine influences can motivate the human being to act kindly, the forces from below will never teach a person to love or try to make him decide to live in a God-pleasing way. 'By their fruits ye shall know them....' which powers people hand themselves over to. And this should suffice you, who are doubtful. Which spirit should teach you love if not God Himself?.... Love is divine and will therefore never be endorsed by beings which are averted from God.... And once love is taught and practiced the adversary's power will be broken, hence he would deprive himself of a weapon if, for the sake of a mask, he first tried to encourage actions of love; he himself would put the best means into people's hands to realise that he and his activity are averted from God.... But he tries to deceive people, to weaken their every power of judgment, and he indeed wraps the cloak of love around himself, he presents himself as good and noble and then influences people to act contrary to love.... He presents himself as a representative of good and only tries to attain advantages for himself and his own kind which, however, are only purely earthly recognisable and are always achieved at the expense of other people. He does not urge people to accomplish works of love even though he approaches people under the guise of love.... Nor does he pursue spiritual goals, and thereby you also recognise the working from above or from below....

As soon as the transformation of the innermost being into love is being taught you must acknowledge the divine origin and know that only messengers from heaven convey such teaching to you. For the human being redeems himself by means of love, by means of love he liberates himself from the control of God's adversary. He, however, tries to tie people to him again and impels them to commit the most heartless actions, he incites them to openly wage battle against God, against everything that is good, he tries to divert people's thoughts from doing good and only to strive for material things, and his influence aims to destroy everything that testifies to God and of God. And thus he first seeks to encourage people's selfish love, he will never preach neighbourly love to them.... for only in this way will he gain souls for himself. However, divine love reveals itself by teaching people unselfish love, by showing them the path which leads towards regaining the original state which consisted of the purest form of love.... And this is why everything that teaches love must be of divine origin, it must inevitably testify to God, because God Himself is love and He tries to lead everything that once had fallen away from Him back to Him, which is only possible if the human being becomes love himself, wherefore the light beings' every effort applies only to one goal, to instruct people of the teaching of love and to help them to attain God....

La maschera dell’avversario - “Li riconoscerete dai loro frutti.... ”

Soltanto degli afflussi divini possono stimolare gli uomini all’agire nel bene, ma delle forze dal basso insegneranno mai l’amore agli uomini e non li spingeranno mai a condurre una vita compiacente a Dio. Voi sapete: “Nei loro frutti li riconoscerete”, potete quindi constatare a quali forze gli uomini si dedicano. E questo basti a voi che siete sempre ancora nel dubbio. Quale Spirito dovrebbe insegnarvi l’amore, se non Dio Stesso? L’Amore è divino e perciò non verrà mai rappresentato da tali esseri che si sono distolti da Dio. E dove una volta viene insegnato ed esercitato l’amore, quivi è anche spezzato il potere dell’avversario, quindi deruberebbe sé stesso di un’arma, se per via di una maschera volesse stimolare prima ad un agire nell’amore, egli darebbe con ciò agli uomini il miglior mezzo in mano con il quale riconoscerebbero lui stesso ed il suo agire come distolto da Dio. Egli cerca di abbagliare gli uomini e di indebolire la loro capacità di giudizio, e perciò egli stesso si avvolge nel manto dell’amore, rappresenta sé stesso come buono e nobile, da rappresentante del bene, ma con ciò egli cerca soltanto dei vantaggi simili a lui, che però sono sempre riconoscibili come terreni e che vengono sempre raggiunti a spese di altri. Non sono delle opere d’amore a cui egli spinge gli uomini, ma si avvolge nel mantello dell’amore. Non sono delle mete spirituali che egli persegue, ma sempre terreno-materiali, sempre con la pretesa che devono servire a qualcosa di più elevato. In ciò potete quindi riconoscere l’agire dal basso. Ma quando per la trasformazione all’essere interiore viene insegnato l’amore, potete anche riconoscere l’origine divina e sapere che soltanto i messaggeri del Cielo vi trasmettono una tale Dottrina. Perché mediante l’amore l’uomo si libera, con l’amore egli diventa simile a Dio, Che Egli Stesso E’ l’Amore, e da ciò si libera dal potere dell’avversario di Dio. Questo però cerca di incatenare gli uomini nuovamente a sé, li spinge perciò sovente ad azioni prive d’amore, li spinge all’aperta lotta contro Dio e contro ogni bene, egli cerca di distrarre il pensare degli uomini dal bene e di tendere soltanto a cose materiali; e la sua influenza è rivolta particolarmente alla distruzione di ciò che testimonia per e di Dio. E perciò egli cerca dapprima di fortificare gli uomini nell’amor proprio, cioè egli non predicherà mai ad alta voce il vero amore per il prossimo, perché soltanto così egli conquista le anime per sé. L’Amore divino però si rivela educando gli uomini all’amore disinteressato, indicando loro la via che conduce alla riconquista dello stato ur (primordiale) che era la forma più pura dell’Amore. E perciò tutto quello che insegna l’Amore, deve essere di Origine divina, deve inevitabilmente testimoniare di Dio, perché Dio Stesso E’ L’Amore, ed Egli cerca di riportare a Sé tutto ciò che si è allontanato da Lui, cosa che però è possibile soltanto se l’uomo stesso diventa di nuovo amore, per cui tutti gli sforzi degli esseri di Luce servono soltanto ad una meta, di istruire gli uomini nella Dottrina dell’amore e di aiutare loro di raggiungere Dio.
