Becoming a child of God....

The final purpose of life on earth is to achieve the degree of maturity which earns the human being childship to God. But few people live so consciously that their whole striving is only directed towards this final goal. For continued service in love has to shape the human being such that he can also continue to receive God's emanation of love, which guarantees the soul's constant progress and finally earns it that degree of maturity that it can enter the spiritual kingdom as a true child of God, that it is now entitled to all childlike rights and that it can create and shape in God-like will for its own happiness. Childship to God is the highest goal, and every human being is given the opportunity to reach this goal, but it requires the human being's whole will, which must be turned towards God; It requires a setting aside of all earthly wishes, an overcoming of all earthly desires, it requires a constant union with God through active neighborly love and a perpetual longing for Him, which drives the human being to diligent soul work, to a pleasing way of life and which makes his heart receptive for the deepest wisdom from God. It requires an uninterrupted activity of love which shapes his heart in such a way that God Himself can take up residence in him and the most intimate union with Him already takes place on earth. Becoming a child of God triggers an ineffable feeling of happiness in the soul, it is the most glorious thing a person can achieve. And yet it is striven for so little because renouncing earthly goods and pleasures is the first condition, but a person's strength and will are often insufficient and he makes too little use of the power of prayer. What he earnestly wants, he can also achieve as soon as he fervently asks for it and does not let up in his prayer. The supply of strength will never be denied to him as long as his will earnestly strives for it. In order to attain childship to God it is also necessary to be in contact with the God-connected forces, i.e. the human being must willingly open himself to all good spiritual currents, he must be in a constant state of readiness to receive, thus he must allow the thought currents from the spiritual kingdom to take effect on him through thinking turned towards God, as a result of which he will receive increased strength and light, which will result in a certain maturing. The will to come close to God detaches the soul from earth, from matter, and gives it free development, it is not hindered on its flight upwards, and this is already a connection to spiritual light bearers. The soul often sojourns in the spiritual kingdom and the desire for God becomes ever stronger in it. And its activity of love on earth is now correspondingly.... Consciously striving upwards and deep, heartfelt love for God shape the human being's soul on earth such that it can leave it as a child of God in order to take up the father's inheritance.... to be able to see God face to face....

Erreichen der Gotteskindschaft....

Der Endzweck des Erdenlebens ist die Erreichung des Reife-Grades, der dem Menschen die Gotteskindschaft einträgt. Wenige Menschen aber leben so bewußt, daß ihr ganzes Streben nur diesem letzten Ziel gilt. Denn es muß ein fortgesetztes Dienen in Liebe den Menschen so gestalten, daß er auch fortgesetzt die Liebesausstrahlung Gottes empfangen kann, die einen ständigen Fortschritt der Seele gewährleistet und ihr zuletzt jenen Reifegrad einträgt, daß sie als rechtes Kind Gottes in das geistige Reich eingehen kann, daß ihr nun alle Kindesrechte zustehen und daß sie im Gott-gleichen Willen schaffen und gestalten kann zur eigenen Beglückung. Es ist die Gotteskindschaft das höchste Ziel, und jedem Menschen ist die Möglichkeit gegeben, dieses Ziel zu erreichen, doch sie erfordert den ganzen Willen des Menschen, der Gott zugewandt sein muß; sie erfordert ein Zurücksetzen aller irdischen Wünsche, ein Überwinden aller irdischen Begierden, sie erfordert einen ständigen Zusammenschluß mit Gott durch werktätige Nächstenliebe und ein immerwährendes Verlangen nach Ihm, das den Menschen zu emsiger Seelenarbeit antreibt, zu einem wohlgefälligen Lebenswandel und das sein Herz aufnahmefähig macht für die tiefsten Weisheiten aus Gott. Es erfordert ein ununterbrochenes Liebeswirken, das sein Herz so gestaltet, daß Gott Selbst in ihm Wohnung nehmen kann und der innigste Zusammenschluß mit Ihm schon auf Erden stattfindet. Die Gotteskindschaft löst ein unnennbares Glücksgefühl aus in der Seele, es ist das Herrlichste, was der Mensch erreichen kann. Und doch wird sie so wenig angestrebt, weil ein Verzichtleisten auf irdische Güter und Freuden erste Bedingung ist, die Kraft und der Wille des Menschen oft aber nicht ausreichen und er die Kraft des Gebetes zu wenig nützet. Was er ernstlich will, das kann er auch erreichen, sowie er innig darum bittet und in seinem Gebet nicht nachläßt. Die Kraftzufuhr wird ihm niemals verweigert werden, sowie nur sein Wille ernsthaft solche anstrebt. Es ist zur Erreichung der Gotteskindschaft auch die Fühlungnahme mit den Gott-verbundenen Kräften erforderlich, d.h., es muß sich der Mensch allen guten geistigen Strömungen willig öffnen, er muß in ständiger Empfangsbereitschaft sein, also durch Gott zugewandtes Denken die Gedankenströme aus dem geistigen Reich auf sich wirken lassen, wodurch ihm vermehrt Kraft und Licht zugeht, was ein sicheres Ausreifen zur Folge hat. Der Wille, in Gottnähe zu kommen, löst die Seele von der Erde, von der Materie und gibt ihr freie Entfaltung, sie wird auf dem Fluge zur Höhe nicht gehindert, und es ist dies schon ein Anschließen an geistige Lichtträger. Es weilet die Seele oft im geistigen Reich, und das Verlangen nach Gott wird immer stärker in ihr. Und entsprechend ist nun auch ihr Liebeswirken auf Erden.... Bewußt streben zur Höhe und tiefe, innige Liebe zu Gott gestalten die Seele des Menschen auf Erden so, daß sie als Kind Gottes jene verlassen kann, um das Erbe des Vaters anzutreten.... um Gott schauen zu können von Angesicht zu Angesicht....
