Power supply and willpower....

The path through earthly life requires much willpower but people will never lack it as long as they make contact with God, that is, as long as they appeal to Him for grace and strength. Every person receives vitality, which at the same time means that he can now carry out whatever his will impels him to do. The power of life is not withdrawn from any human being as long as he still dwells on earth. It is able to accomplish much of what the human being wants and this often makes him inclined to believe that he can master everything, that he must succeed in everything he sets out to do. Yet he has to ask God for this increased willpower and he will never make a wrong request, for God sets no limits to a person's abilities as soon as he unites himself with God and thus utilizes God's strength. Without God's support the strength is limited and it will only suffice for a life on earth without special requirements. An earthly life with God corresponds to divine will, for now God's strength can be revealed in a person who requests this strength and therefore allows God Himself to work through him. This man can let his will become active and nothing will be impossible for him. However, as soon as the human being is not yet united with God, his earthly life is far more difficult, for then he can only accomplish those things which God in His wisdom allows him to accomplish, i.e., the life force flowing to the human being is wisely allocated by God according to his degree of maturity and his earthly task.... He can increase it himself through heartfelt prayer, but he must make do with it if he does not take recourse to prayer, for through lack of strength he should be able to establish a connection with God and ask for strength. Again, people who are distant from God can also have extraordinary strength at their disposal. This is also based on God's wisdom, as He determines each person's destiny and how it can best lead to the maturity of the soul. Exceptional vitality gives the human being ample opportunity to be lovingly active, whereby the strength is still increased; but as soon as the human being stands outside of love and nevertheless has great strength at his disposal, this is given to him by God-opposing power, for he is supported by evil forces which try to win him over for themselves as a result. And since the will of these people themselves decides in favour of evil, God does not prevent the supply of strength from below. It is always the will of the person himself that determines how he is provided with strength, for he can increase it at any time through his prayer. God constantly sends His flow of strength to earth, which can now be received by anyone who opens himself, i.e. enters into contact with the giver of strength.... This supply of strength available to every human being only needs to be utilized in order to be able to cover earthly life easily and effortlessly, for he will now be able to carry out whatever his will decides to do because the strength from God accomplishes everything....

힘의 공급과 의지의 능력.

이 땅의 삶을 살기 위해 많은 의지의 힘이 필요하다. 그러나 사람들이 하나님과 연결을 이룬다면, 다시 말해 하나님께 은혜와 힘을 구한다면, 그들은 절대로 의지의 힘이 부족하지 않을 것이다. 모든 사람은 생명력을 받는다. 이는 동시에 그가 이제 자신의 의지가 원하는 대로 수행할 수 있음을 의미한다. 생명력은 그가 아직 이 땅에 거하는 동안, 어떤 사람도 빼앗기지 않는다. 생명력은 사람이 원하는 많은 일을 수해할 수 있게 하고, 이런 이이 자주 그가 모든 것을 다스릴 수 있고, 그가 하기로 한 모든 일이 성공해야만 한다고 믿게 만든다.

그러나 그는 이처럼 증가된 의지의 힘을 하나님께 구해야만 하고, 그는 절대로 헛되이 구하게 되지 않을 것이다. 왜냐하면 사람이 하나님과 연결을 이루고, 하나님의 힘을 활용하면, 하나님이 사람의 능력에 제한을 가하지 않기 때문이다. 하나님의 지원이 없이는 힘이 제한되어 있고, 이 힘은 단지 특별한 요구사항이 없이 이 땅의 삶을 살기에 충분하게 될 것이다. 하나님과 함께 사는 이 땅의 삶은 하나님의 뜻과 일치한다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 힘을 요구하는 사람에게서 이제 하나님의 힘이 나타날 수 있고, 이로써 하나님 자신이 그를 통해 역사하게 할 수 있기 때문이다. 이런 사람은 자신의 의지를 실행에 옮길 수 있고, 그에게 실행 불가능한 일은 없게 될 것이다.

그러나 사람이 아직 하나님과 연결을 이루지 않으면, 그의 이 땅의 삶은 훨씬 더 어렵다. 왜냐면 그는 하나님의 지혜로 그가 성취하도록 허락한 일을 단지 성취할 수 있기 때문이다. 다시 말해 하나님이 사람에게 흐르는 생명력을 사람의 성숙한 정도와 이 땅의 과제에 따라 지혜롭게 공급하기 때문이다. 그가 스스로 긴밀한 기도를 통해 이 힘을 증가시킬 수 있다. 그러나 그가 기도를 자신의 도피처로 삼지 않는다면, 가진 힘으로 살아야만 한다. 왜냐면 그가 힘의 부족함으로 인해 하나님과 관계를 맺고, 힘을 구해야 하기 때문이다.

다시 말해 하나님으로부터 멀리 떨어진 사람들도 놀라운 능력을 가질 수 있다. 이런 일도 또한 하나님의 지혜에 근거를 두고 있다. 마찬가지로 하나님이 모든 사람의 운명을, 그를 어떻게 혼의 성숙으로 가장 잘 이끌 수 있는 지에 따라, 정하는 일도 하나님의 지혜에 근거를 두고 있다. 특별한 생명력은 사람에게 사랑을 행할 수 있는 충분한 기회를 제공하고, 이를 통해 그의 힘이 더욱 증가하게 된다. 그러나 사람이 사랑 밖에 머물고, 그럴지라도 큰 힘을 가지고 있다면, 하나님의 대적자 편에서 그에게 힘을 준 것이다. 왜냐면 그가 악한 세력의 지원을 받기 때문이다. 악한 세력은 이런 지원을 통해 그를 자신을 위해 얻으려고 시도한다. 사람의 의지가 스스로 악을 선택했기 때문에 하나님은 아래로부터 힘이 공급되는 일을 막지 않는다.

사람의 의지가 항상 자신이 힘을 얼마나 받게 될지를 정한다. 왜냐면 그가 언제든지 기도를 통해 힘을 증가시킬 수 있기 때문이다. 하나님은 끊임없이 자신의 힘의 흐름을 이 땅으로 보낸다. 이제 단지 자신을 여는 모든 사람이, 다시 말해 힘을 공급해주는 분과 접촉하는 사람이 하나님의 힘을 받을 수 있다. 모든 사람이 사용할 수 있게 제공되는 이런 힘은 이 땅의 생명을 쉽게, 힘들이지 않고 살기 위해 단지 사용하기만 하면 된다. 왜냐하면 그가 이제 자신의 의지가 정한 일을 수행할 수 있고, 하나님으로부터 온 힘이 모든 일을 이루기 때문이다.
