Wisdom unthinkable without love.... imperishable knowledge....

The path of truth can therefore only be found in love, and where love is lacking, a person takes a wrong path that leads them away from the truth. For to be wise means to possess knowledge that corresponds to the truth. But being wise also means having imperishable knowledge, for knowledge is worthless if it sinks into nothingness at death. Imperishable knowledge, however, is only the knowledge of things that lie beyond the earthly, and this knowledge is rarely sought, whereas the human being seeks to fathom everything of this world and sets his honour on being considered knowledgeable. This knowledge can indeed be beneficial insofar as it enables the human being to work with it in love. Such knowledge can be an asset in the hands of the one who possesses it if he utilizes it in such a way that he helps his fellow human beings and is therefore lovingly active.... Then he also acquires goods for eternity with earthly knowledge, and these are imperishable, even if he does not take the knowledge with him into eternity.... With spiritual knowledge, however, the human being can likewise help his fellow human being by directly imparting spiritual possessions to the soul, thus likewise accumulating imperishable possessions, both for himself as well as for the fellow human being to whom he imparts spiritual possessions. And only that person is truly wise who works and creates for eternity, who therefore already gains clarity about spiritual things on earth and then lives his earthly life in accordance with this realization. His knowledge is indestructible and extremely valuable, even if it is not properly valued by people due to ignorance. Worldly knowledge, however, mostly only helps to increase earthly possessions and is therefore overvalued on earth without benefiting the soul unless it is utilized for the benefit of a fellow human being, i.e. it is valued with love for him. And so love must always dominate the human being at the same time if the human being is to be truly knowledgeable or if worldly knowledge is also to bring him spiritual success. Without love, however, all knowledge is dead.... and without love a person's knowledge is usually far removed from the truth....

Sabiduría impensable sin amor.... Conocimiento imperecedero....

Por lo tanto, el camino de la verdad sólo se puede encontrar en el amor, y cuando falta el amor, la gente toma un camino equivocado que los aleja de la verdad. Porque ser sabio significa poseer un saber que responda a la verdad. Pero ser sabio también significa tener un saber imperecedero, porque el saber no vale nada si con la muerte se hunde en la nada. Pero el saber imperecedero es sólo el saber de las cosas que se encuentran fuera del reino terrenal, y este saber es poco buscado, mientras que el hombre busca sondear todo lo que hay en esta Tierra y pone su honor en ser reconocido como sabedor.

De hecho, este saber también puede ser beneficioso porque permite a los hombres obrar con ello en amor. Un saber así puede ser un capital en manos de quien lo posee, si lo utiliza de tal manera que ayude a sus semejantes y, por tanto, sea activo en el amor.... Entonces adquiere bienes para la eternidad, incluso con conocimientos terrenales, y éstos son imperecederos, aunque no los lleve consigo a la eternidad.... Sin embargo, con el saber espiritual, una persona también puede ayudar a sus semejantes impartiendo bienes espirituales directamente al alma, es decir, acumulando también bienes imperecederos, tanto para sí mismo como para los demás seres humanos a quienes imparte bienes espirituales.

Y sólo la personas que obra y crea para la eternidad es verdaderamente sabia, quien crea claridad sobre las cosas espirituales mientras está en la Tierra y entonces vive su vida en la Tierra de acuerdo con esta cognición. Su saber es indestructible y sumamente valioso, aunque la gente no lo valora adecuadamente por desconocimiento. Sin embargo, el conocimiento del mundo normalmente sólo ayuda a aumentar los bienes terrenales y, por lo tanto, se sobrevalora en la Tierra sin aportar ningún beneficio al alma, a menos que se utilice en beneficio de otras personas, es decir, se evalúe en el amor hacia ellas. Y así, el amor siempre debe dominar al hombre al mismo tiempo, si el hombre ha de tener un verdadero saber o si el conocimiento del mundo ha de traerle éxito espiritual. Pero sin amor, el saber de la mayoría de los humanos está lejos de la verdad....
