Strong or weakened will to receive.... love for God....

The spirit's effectiveness is weakened if the human being's will is not strong enough to resist external influences. The spiritual spark in the human being certainly receives the influx from the spiritual kingdom but it is unable to make the spiritual gifts comprehensible to the human being's soul, or alternatively, the human being's soul is incapable of hearing what it is offered because the will is not exclusively focussed on the divine gift. And this until he has mustered the strength to turn away from everything that appears desirable to the body. Every connection with the spiritual world is an act of complete devotion to it, therefore the earthly, the bodily desire must be put aside, and where the will for it cannot be mustered, there an unhindered work of the spirit is not possible, otherwise the favour of God would flow towards man against his will, but which must be completely turned towards the receiving of this favour. The will of man alone is decisive, for it testifies to the degree of love of the heart. Love for God is always expressed in the human being's will, and so the will to receive will also be in accordance with the human being's love for God. If the heart pushes towards God, then the will is also strong to overcome every obstacle; but if the will is weak, then the heart's desire for God is also not great, and therefore the currents from the spiritual kingdom cannot become so effective that they can be imparted to the soul. Heartfelt prayer certainly increases the strength of will, but this intimacy is also dependent on love for God, so that it is therefore understandable that the ability to receive is not always the same if the human being does not always have the same will to love and activity of love. The human being must constantly want to give, for then he will also constantly be allowed to receive, for the former testifies to his love for God, his will turned towards Him, which is the prerequisite for the spirit to be able to work out of God. And the deeper and more intimate the devotion is, the more comprehensibly the soul hears what the spirit wants to convey to it, for it then loosens every bond with the earthly world and accepts the gifts from the spiritual world. Spiritual gifts are precious commodities that are to be desired and received accordingly and therefore require the undivided will of the human being in order to be able to take possession of them. The greater the human being's will to receive, the greater is also the spiritual will of the spiritual beings who can impart the spiritual gifts to him but who are also subject to divine laws, thus they can only work with the person's fullest agreement, which is expressed in a strong will....

La volontà forte o debole per ricevere - L’amore per Dio

L’efficacia dello spirito viene indebolita quando la volontà dell’uomo non è abbastanza forte per opporsi alle influenze dall’esterno. La scintilla spirituale nell’uomo accoglie bensì l’afflusso dal Regno spirituale, ma non è in grado di rendere comprensibile all’anima i Doni dello Spirito, oppure anche, l’anima dell’uomo non è capace di sentire ciò che le viene offerto, perché la volontà non è esclusivamente rivolta al Dono divino. E questo dura così a lungo, finché non sviluppa la forza di distogliersi da tutto ciò che sembra desiderabile per il corpo. Ogni collegamento con il mondo spirituale è un atto della totale dedizione a questo, quindi il terreno, il desiderio corporeo, dev’essere retrocesso e dove non si ha la volontà, là non è possibile un diretto agire dello spirito, altrimenti all’uomo fluirebbe il Dono di Dio contro la sua volontà, la quale però dev’essere rivolta del tutto alla ricezione di questo Dono. E’ determinante unicamente la volontà dell’uomo, perché testimonia del grado d’amore del cuore. L’amore per Dio si manifesta sempre nella volontà dell’uomo e rispetto alla volontà di ricevere sarà anche l’amore dell’uomo per Dio. Se il cuore spinge incontro a Dio, allora è forte anche la volontà di superare ogni ostacolo; se la volontà però è debole, allora anche il desiderio del cuore per Dio non è grande e quindi le Correnti dal Regno spirituale non possono diventare così efficaci da poter essere trasmesse all’’anima. L’intima preghiera aumenta bensì la forza di volontà, ma anche questa interiorità dipende dall’amore per Dio in modo che è quindi comprensibile che la capacità di ricevere non è sempre la stessa, quando l’uomo non si trova sempre nella stessa volontà e nello stesso agire d’amore. L’uomo deve sempre voler dare, perché allora potrà anche sempre ricevere, perché il primo testimonia del suo amore per Dio, della sua volontà rivolta a Lui, che è la precondizione affinché lo spirito da Dio possa agire. E più profonda ed intima è la dedizione, più comprensibile l’anima percepisce ciò che le vorrebbe trasmettere lo spirito, perché allora lei scioglie ogni legame con il mondo terreno e coglie i Doni dal mondo spirituale. Il Dono spirituale è un Bene prezioso che ora deve anche essere rispettivamente desiderato e ricevuto e perciò necessita dell’intera volontà dell’uomo per poter passare nel suo possesso. Maggiore è la volontà di ricevere dell’uomo, maggiore è anche la volontà di dare degli esseri spirituali che gli possono trasmettere i Doni spirituali, che però costoro sono anche sottoposti alle Leggi divine, quindi possono agire solamente con pienissima approvazione dell’uomo, che si manifesta in una forte volontà.
