God guides the life of every person....

God's ways are inscrutable. He directs and guides every person's steps through His counsel, always for the person's own good, even if he does not recognize it; and even the smallest event has its purpose, for nothing that affects the individual is without purpose and meaning. And if you humans bear this in mind and have faith in divine guidance, you will endure your earthly life more easily and also benefit from it. Everything is based on God's will and the more devotedly you submit to it, the more beneficial it will be for you. What is often incomprehensible to you humans can bring about the greatest spiritual successes, and therefore God often puts people in situations which shake their entire thinking and turn it towards realization.... The individual's path through life will always have his spiritual development as its goal, and when this goal is reached the soul thanks its creator for all the pain and suffering it had to endure. And if the human being is incapable of change on earth, then the soul's detachment from the form must be a painful process for it so that it will still be purified as a result. But a change of attitude can eliminate this process of detachment, God's will can prolong the human being's life if the prerequisites for it are given, if the soul decides to live life only for the sake of spiritual maturation. For spiritual development is the meaning and purpose of life on earth and every event is only a means to reach the goal. As soon as man loosens his ties with the world of his own free will, he comes closer to the eternal divine, and then his life is only an ascent to the heights, and physical suffering contributes to this. The world with its attractions and temptations must be overcome, then earthly life can no longer harm the soul, and then it can also be preserved for further spiritual development. For God is extremely wise and extremely kind.... God allows what is beneficial for the soul, even if it seems incomprehensible to the human being, for He alone knows what the soul needs and what will bring it spiritual liberation....

하나님은 모든 사람의 삶을 인도한다.

하나님의 길은 헤아려 볼 수 없다. 하나님은 비록 사람이 깨닫지 못하더라도, 항상 그의 유익을 위해 자신의 결정대로 모든 사람의 발걸음을 인도하고, 이끈다. 아주 작은 사건조차도 목적이 있다. 왜냐면 각 개인에게 일어나는 어떤 일도 목적과 의미가 없는 일은 없기 때문이다. 너희 사람들이 이를 생각하고, 하나님의 인도를 신뢰한다면, 너희는 이 땅의 삶을 더 쉽게 견디고, 이를 통해 유익을 얻을 것이다. 하나님의 뜻은 모든 것의 기초이다. 너희가 하나님의 뜻에 더 복종할수록, 너희는 더 많은 축복을 받게 된다. 너희 사람들이 자주 이해할 수 없는 일이 가장 큰 영적인 성공을 가져올 수 있다. 그러므로 하나님은 자주 사람들을 그의 생각 전체를 흔들고, 깨달음으로 향하도록 변화시키는 상황에 처하게 한다.

개인의 삶의 길은 항상 그의 영적 성장을 목표로 할 것이다. 이 목표에 도달하면, 혼은 자신이 견뎌야만 했던 모든 고난과 고통에 대해 창조주께 감사한다. 인간이 이 땅에서 변화될 수 없다면, 혼이 형체로부터 분리되는 일은 혼에게 고통의 과정이 되어야만 한다. 이로써 혼이 아직 정화되도록 하기 위한 일이다. 그러나 생각의 변화는 이런 혼이 형체로부터 분리되는 과정을 피하게 해줄 수 있고, 인간의 생명을 연장시킬 수 있는 전제 조건이 주어지면, 혼이 영적인 성숙을 위해서만 삶을 살기로 결정한다면, 하나님의 뜻은 인간의 생명을 연장시킬 수 있다. 왜냐면 영적인 성장이 이 땅의 삶의 의미와 목적이고, 모든 일어나는 사건은 목표에 달성하기 위한 단지 수단이기 때문이다.

사람이 자신이 동인이 되어 세상과의 묶임으로부터 자유롭게 한다면, 그는 영원한 신성에 더 가까워지고, 그의 삶은 단지 높은 곳을 향해 올라가게 될 것이고, 이 일을 위해 육체의 고통이 기여를 할 것이다. 세상과 세상의 자극과 유혹을 극복해야만 한다. 그러면 이 땅의 삶이 더 이상 혼에게 해를 끼치지 않고, 계속되는 영적인 성장을 위해 이 땅의 삶이 유지될 수 있다. 왜냐면 하나님은 지극히 현명하고 지극히 선하기 때문이다. 하나님 만이 혼에게 무엇이 필요한지를 알고 있고, 혼에게 영적인 해방을 주는 일을 알기 때문에, 사람이 이해할 수 없는 것처럼 보일지라도, 하나님이 혼의 구원을 위해 혼에게 필요한 것과 혼을 해방시키는 일을 허용한다.
