Suffering comes to the righteous and the unrighteous....

It is intended by divine decree that a time of unspeakable suffering will come upon the earth for the sake of human souls. It will only still be possible to save them through much suffering, and thus humanity will have to endure much sorrow and hardship which shall result in a change of thinking. And many righteous people will have to suffer for the sake of these souls, and this will serve them again for the spiritual higher development and perfection of their souls. They are, as it were, forced to sacrifice their state of suffering, which they cannot completely escape, to their fellow human beings, i.e. if they bear it without grumbling and complaining and resign themselves to everything, they are, as it were, sacrificing all suffering to those who are in need of purification. The righteous must suffer with the unrighteous and often bear the consequences of the latter's way of life, but his spiritual maturity also allows him to recognize the necessity of what God sends upon people, and so he resigns himself to his fate without complaint. He is already imbued with the will of God and does not oppose Him in his thoughts and feelings. Rather, he tries to make his fellow human beings understand the meaning and purpose of the difficult trial and to persuade them to distance themselves from the world and devote themselves to the care of their souls. He reproaches them for their wrong way of life and its consequences and helps those who are too weak and yet have good will. The righteous must suffer with the unrighteous, but the suffering will be bearable for him because he will not go his way on earth without God. He will receive strength and not feel the suffering as severely as his fellow human being in need of purification, and thus he will humbly submit to divine will. And if he has to give up his life then he will be granted twofold favours in the kingdom of the beyond so that he will not lose the favours of earthly life if he has not yet reached his state of maturity. Then he will have laid down his life for his fellow human beings and this will be rewarded to him. For God gives to all according to their merits, and every undeserved suffering results in the richest blessing, as soon as a person humbly submits to everything God sends him....

Das Leid kommt über Gerechte und Ungerechte....

Es ist im göttlichen Ratschluß vorgesehen, daß eine Zeit unsäglichen Leidens über die Erde kommt, um der menschlichen Seelen willen. Es wird eine Rettung dieser nur durch vieles Leid noch möglich sein, und also wird die Menschheit viel Kummer und Not zu ertragen haben, welche eine Änderung des Denkens zur Folge haben soll. Und es werden viele Gerechte leiden müssen um dieser Seelen willen, und dies dient ihnen wieder zur geistigen Höherentwicklung und Vervollkommnung ihrer Seelen. Sie sind gleichsam gezwungen, ihren Leidenszustand, dem sie nicht gänzlich entgehen können, ihren Mitmenschen aufzuopfern, d.h., so sie diesen ohne Murren und Klagen tragen und sich ergeben in alles fügen, opfern sie gleichsam alles Leid denen auf, die läuterungsbedürftig sind. Es muß der Gerechte mit dem Ungerechten leiden und oftmals die Folge des letzteren Lebenswandels mit ertragen, doch sein seelischer Reifezustand läßt ihn auch die Notwendigkeit dessen erkennen, was Gott über die Menschen schickt, und so ergibt er sich klaglos in sein Schicksal. Er ist schon von dem Willen Gottes durchdrungen und stellt sich Ihm nicht entgegen in seinem Denken und Fühlen. Vielmehr versucht er, dem Mitmenschen den Sinn und Zweck der schweren Prüfung klarzumachen und sie zu bewegen, Abstand zu nehmen von der Welt und sich der Sorge um ihre Seelen hinzugeben. Er hält ihnen ihren verkehrten Lebenswandel vor und dessen Folgen und hilft denen, die zu schwach sind und doch guten Willen haben. Es muß der Gerechte mit dem Ungerechten leiden, doch wird für ihn das Leid ertragbar sein, weil er nicht ohne Gott seinen Erdenweg geht. Er wird Kraft empfangen und das Leid nicht so schwer empfinden wie der läuterungsbedürftige Mitmensch, und also fügt er sich ergeben in den göttlichen Willen. Und so er sein Leben lassen muß, dann wird ihm zwiefache Gnade gewährt im jenseitigen Reich, so daß er der Gnaden des Erdenlebens nicht verlustig geht, so er seinen Reifezustand noch nicht erreicht hat. Dann hat er sein Leben für die Mitmenschen hingegeben, und es wird ihm dies vergolten werden. Denn Gott gibt allen nach ihren Verdiensten, und jegliches unverdiente Leid zieht reichsten Segen nach sich, sowie sich der Mensch ergeben in alles fügt, was Gott ihm sendet....
