Final liberation or bound state in eternity....

Complete detachment from the form also requires complete abandonment of the resistance against God, for even if the soul apparently loses every external constraint at the death of the body at the end of its life, it nevertheless does not need to be finally released from its constraint, for it can take the awareness of its bound state with it into eternity, which signifies precisely that state of torment for it. The environment of the soul is then still the same as on earth, i.e., once it stays where it has stayed on earth because it is still bound to earthly matter with all its senses; but then it will always create its environment itself according to its desire. It can therefore still be completely surrounded by earthly matter, even if only in its imagination, is therefore still subject to earthly laws according to its feelings, i.e., it has the same desire, the same cravings as on earth, but also the same resistance to overcome, so that it recognizes its powerlessness and constraint as on earth, while the completely free state is also a state of fulfilment, where no more obstacles are set against the being and it feels this spiritual freedom extremely blissfully. The soul has certainly cast off the physical shackle with the bodily death, but it does not yet have the awareness of its freedom until it has reached the degree of maturity which earns it spiritual freedom. And therefore it often does not know about its passing away from earth. It believes itself to still be in its body and it often takes a long time before it realizes it, depending on its willingness to serve.... which, however, is only very weak, for mostly such souls are only seized by selfish love and seek satisfaction of their desires for themselves. But since they never find such, it begins to dawn on them after a long time that in reality they no longer possess anything and only ever strive for illusory possessions, and only then does the process of complete detachment from earthly matter begin, although this is still very protracted. And only the detachment from matter, the overcoming of it and the complete mental detachment loosens the shell of the soul and signifies the beginning of its final liberation from form. However, an unthinkably long time can pass before the being can enjoy the freedom of the spirit....

최종적으로 자유롭게 되거나 영원 가운데 묶임을 받는 상태.

형체로부터 완전하게 자유롭게 되는 일은 하나님을 향한 저항을 완전한 버리는 일을 요구한다. 왜냐하면 겉으로 보기에는 육체의 죽음으로 혼이 모든 외적인 속박을 벗어나게 될지라도, 혼은 최종적으로 자신의 속박을 벗어날 수 없기 때문이다. 왜냐하면 혼이 자신의 묶임을 받은 상태를 영원으로 가지고 갈 수 있기 때문이다. 이런 일은 혼에게 고통을 의미한다. 그러면 혼의 환경은 아직 이 땅의 환경과 동일하다. 다시 말해 혼이 이 땅에 거하던 곳에 일단 머문다. 왜냐면 혼이 자신의 모든 감각으로 아직 이 땅의 물질에 묶여 있기 때문이다. 그러나 그러면 혼은 항상 자신의 욕망에 따라 자신의 환경을 만들게 된다.

그러므로 혼은 단지 자신의 상상이라 할지라도, 이 땅의 물질로 완전하게 둘러싸여 있을 수 있다. 그러므로 혼은 감각에 따라 아직 이 땅의 법의 지배를 받는다. 다시 말해 혼은 이 땅에서 가졌던 것과 같은 욕망을 가지고 있고, 그러나 또한 동일한 저항을 극복해야만 한다. 이로써 혼은 이 땅에서와 같이 자신의 무기력함과 속박을 깨닫는다. 반면에 완전한 자유 상태는 또한 존재가 더 이상 장애물을 만나지 않고, 이런 영적인 자유를 아주 행복하게 느낀다. 혼은 육체의 죽음으로 실제 육체의 사슬을 벗는다. 그러나 혼이 자신에게 영적인 자유를 주는 성숙한 정도에 도달하지 못한 동안에는, 혼은 아직 자신의 영적인 자유를 의식하지 못한다. 그러므로 혼은 자주 자신이 이 땅의 삶을 마친 것을 알지 못한다.

혼은 자신이 아직 몸 안에 있다고 생각하고, 혼의 섬기려는 의지에 따라, 그럴지라도 대부분의 그런 혼들이 자기 사랑에 사로 잡혀 있고, 자신의 욕망의 성취를 추구하기 때문에, 아주 연약한 의지를 가지고 있고, 이를 깨닫는 데 자주 오랜 시간이 걸린다. 그러나 그들이 욕망의 성취를 절대로 찾지 못하기 때문에 오랜 시간이 지나서 그들 안에 그들이 실제로는 더 이상 아무것도 가지고 있지 않고, 항상 단지 가짜 재물을 추구한다는 것을 깨닫는 여명이 비치기 시작한다. 그러면 비로소 이 땅의 물질로부터 자유롭게 되는 일이 시작된다. 물질을 극복하는 일이 시작되고, 생각으로 완전히 물질로부터 자유롭게 되는 일이 시작된다. 이런 일은 혼이 자신의 겉형체로부터 최종적으로 자유롭게 되는 일의 시작을 의미한다. 그러나 존재가 영의 자유를 누리게 되기 까지는, 엄청난 오래 시간이 걸릴 수 있다.
