Bridging the gap between man and God....

The gulf between man and God is unbridgeable as long as he himself does not make an effort to come closer to Him. The distance cannot be reduced if the human being is not aware of it. However, he neither feels connected to God nor distant from Him because he does not recognize the connection between the creator and His creatures, and consequently he does nothing to change a state which is contrary to God.... He feels no separation from God because he does not believe himself to be originally united with Him. And this ignorant state is so extremely detrimental to the human being's soul. For it does not strive to escape it, but feels at ease in it. And the gulf does not narrow but rather widens because the human being, who does not feel connected to God, does not lead a life of love either and therefore does not attain knowledge. And he rejects all advice, he ridicules and mocks it and does not do the slightest to bridge the gap. And therefore salvation can hardly be brought to these people, for they reject divine words spoken through human mouths; they do not pay attention to the events around them or do not attach the significance to them which it has; consequently, they remain behind in their spiritual development. For God must inevitably work in them with His strength, but this is completely impossible where the will and the desire for God do not form a bridge to Him. These people will certainly complete their earthly life but will not be able to demonstrate spiritual success, for their life will be completely separate from God, turned towards the world and without any spiritual endeavour. And at the end of their earthly life they are still just as distant from God as they were at the beginning of their embodiment on earth as a human being. God tries to remedy this state by seemingly isolating Himself completely, i.e., He leaves people in their self-chosen darkness and does not express Himself until they expect a sign from Him as proof of His existence.... And then He sends them this sign, but in a way that is not very satisfying for them.... He proves His power to people but otherwise leaves them untouched so as not to restrict their free will. And the human being must try to connect himself with the power which he did not want to recognize. Only then will he build a bridge across the gulf and only then can God Himself show Himself to him, give him strength and grace and help him to ascend....

Fazendo a ponte entre o homem e Deus....

O abismo entre o homem e Deus é intransponível enquanto ele próprio não fizer um esforço para se aproximar dEle. A distância não pode ser reduzida se o ser humano não estiver consciente disso. Mas ele não se sente ligado a Deus nem distante Dele porque não reconhece a ligação entre o Criador e as Suas criações, e consequentemente não faz nada para mudar um estado que é contrário a Deus.... Ele não se sente separado de Deus porque não acredita estar originalmente ligado a Ele. E este estado ignorante é extremamente prejudicial para a alma do ser humano. Pois não se esforça para fugir Dele, mas sente-se à vontade Nele. E o abismo não se estreita, mas amplia, porque o ser humano que não se sente ligado a Deus também não vive uma vida de amor e, portanto, não chega ao conhecimento. E ele rejeita todas as indicações, ridiculariza-as e escarnece delas e não faz o mínimo para superar o abismo. E, portanto, a salvação dificilmente pode ser trazida a essas pessoas, pois elas rejeitam as Palavras divinas ditas pela boca humana; não prestam atenção aos acontecimentos ao seu redor ou não lhes atribuem o significado que ela tem; conseqüentemente, elas permanecem para trás no seu desenvolvimento espiritual. Pois Deus deve inevitavelmente trabalhar neles com a Sua força, mas isto é completamente impossível onde a vontade e o desejo de Deus não formam uma ponte para Ele. Estas pessoas certamente viverão sua vida terrena, mas não poderão demonstrar sucesso espiritual, pois sua vida será completamente separada de Deus, voltada para o mundo e sem nenhum esforço espiritual. E no fim da sua vida terrena eles ainda estão tão distantes de Deus como estavam como seres humanos no início da sua encarnação na Terra. Deus tenta remediar este estado, isolando-se aparentemente completamente, isto é, Ele deixa as pessoas na escuridão escolhida por elas e não se expressa até que elas esperem um sinal d'Ele como prova da Sua existência.... E então Ele envia-lhes este sinal, mas de uma forma que não é muito satisfatória para eles.... Ele prova Seu poder às pessoas, mas de outra forma as deixa intocadas, para não restringir seu livre arbítrio. E o ser humano tem de tentar unir-se com o poder que não queria reconhecer. Só então construirá uma ponte sobre o abismo, e só então Deus será capaz de se mostrar a ele, dar-lhe força e graça e ajudá-lo a ascender...._>Amém
