The word of God spiritual good or dead word....

Every transmission from above is spiritual good as soon as the person takes possession of it, i.e. receives it with heart and mind. Before that, however, they are only words that are only meant to gain life through the human being's will. If the human being only examines it with his intellect then he will not want to accept everything and the knowledge of it will not bring him any spiritual advantage. But if the heart is active, i.e., if he is capable of love, then it is not the intellect that tests him but the spirit within him, and this accepts without hesitation everything that is offered from above. And then the soul's knowledge will lead to progress. For then the word comes alive, it stimulates activity, it becomes a permanent possession, it is spiritual good that endures for all eternity. The gifts God offers can never be worthless, they can only be unrecognized in their value, and this is the case as long as the human heart is not receptive due to a lack of loving activity. Nevertheless, it is also imparted to people who still have little love, so that they intellectually accept the divine mission and thereby should be stimulated into loving activity. Thus the will must first become active again to put the word into action, then the human being appropriates the spiritual good by now also becoming aware of the meaning of what is offered to him. The gift of grace can therefore have the highest spiritual value and result in the highest spiritual successes, but it can also remain completely unrecognized as a dead word because the human being does not desire to live spiritually. Nevertheless, it does not lose its value and can exert its effect on a person at any time if he himself contributes to making use of this effect. What at first appears incomprehensible and unbelievable to him can be affirmed by him both intellectually and with the heart through his will to loving activity and consequently be received as spiritual good at any time because it can never lose its intrinsic value. For the transmissions from above come from the realm of the spiritual and will only have an effect if they are conveyed to the spiritual spark in the human being and it is then left to the latter to utilize it...., i.e., to impart its knowledge to the human being's intellect so that he receives it and the human being then lives in accordance with this knowledge....

하나님의 말씀이 영적인 보물이 되거나 죽은 말이 된다.

위로부터 받는 모든 것은 사람이 그것을 소유하면, 즉 심장과 영으로 받아들이는 면, 영적인 재물이 된다. 그러나 그 전에는 위로부터 받는 모든 것이 단지 말이다. 이 말은 먼저 사람의 의지로 통해 생명을 얻어야 한다. 사람이 단지 이성으로 시험하면, 그는 모든 것을 받아들이기를 원하지 않을 것이고, 그것을 아는 지식이 그에게 영적인 유익을 주지 않는다. 그러나 심장이 활동적이면, 즉 사랑할 수 있다면, 이성이 시험을 하는 것이 아니라, 그 안의 영이 시험을 하고 위로부터 제공되는 모든 것을 망설임 없이 받아들인다. 그러면 지식이 혼을 성장하게 한다. 왜냐면 그러면 말씀이 생명력이 있게 되고, 일하도록 자극하고, 영구적인 소유가 되고, 영적인 재물이 되어 모든 영원에 영원토록 소유하게 되기 때문이다.

하나님이 주는 은사는 절대로 가치가 없을 수 없고, 단지 그의 가치를 올바르게 깨달을 수 없을 뿐이다. 사람의 심장이 사랑을 행하는 일이 부족하여 영접할 능력이 없는 동안에 그렇다. 그럼에도 불구하고 아직 적게 사랑을 행하는 사람들 에게도 전해진다. 이로써 그들이 하나님이 보내주는 것을 이성적으로 받고, 사랑을 행하도록 자극을 받게 한다. 그러므로 말씀을 실천에 옮기기 위해 의지가 먼저 다시 행동으로 옮겨져야만 한다. 그러면 사람이 자신에게 제공되는 것의 의미를 이해하게 되면서, 영적인 재물을 취한다. 그러므로 은혜의 선물은 가장 높은 영적 가치를 가질 수 있고, 가장 높은 영적 성공으로 이어질 수 있지만, 그러나 은혜의 선물이 또한 전혀 깨달음을 받지 못하고, 죽은 말로 머물 수 있다. 왜냐면 사람이 영적인 삶을 살기를 원하지 않기 때문이다.

그럼에도 불구하고, 은혜의 선물은 그의 가치를 잃지 않고, 사람이 스스로 은혜의 선물의 효력을 사용하는 일에 기여한다면, 언제든지 사람들에게 효력을 발휘할 수 있다. 처음에는 그가 이해할 수 없고 믿기지 않게 보이는 것을 사랑을 행하려는 자신의 의지를 통해 이성으로 또한 심장으로 인정할 수 있고, 결과적으로 언제든지 영적인 재물로 영접할 수 있다. 왜냐면 위로부터 오는 것은 위로부터 영의 영역에서 오기 때문에 내적인 가치를 절대로 잃을 수 없기 때문이고, 위로부터 오는 것이 사람 안의 영의 불씨에 공급이 되고, 이제 이를 활용하도록 맡겨 두면, 비로소 효과가 나타날 것이기 때문이다. 다시 말해 그의 지식이 인간의 이성에 전달되어, 그가 지식을 영접할 수 있고, 사람이 이제 이 지식에 합당하게 살게 된다.
