Living faith....

Living faith is what people lack, but it is the most important thing, because without living faith a person does not establish a connection with God. In order to strive for God and to desire union with Him, He must first be affirmed in the heart. He must be felt as existing, therefore man must believe in Him that He is and is in the closest connection with His creatures. Only this living faith results in consciously striving for Him. And so faith is absolutely necessary and it can never be replaced, for without faith the prayer to God for strength and grace is futile. He who does not recognize God does not call upon Him. But God's call for strength cannot be avoided because man alone has too little strength for higher development, but this is the goal of life on earth. Living faith means being able to stand up for something with full conviction, which cannot be proven, and then also to live according to this conviction, i.e. to put it into practice. In most cases, however, people only have a dead faith, that is, they only affirm with their mouth and recognize everything that is demanded of them to believe; but as soon as they are supposed to live according to their faith they don't have the strength to do so because they are unable to pray, that is, to request help. And if they now seriously think about it then they realize that their inner being, their heart, is not at all in an affirmative mood, that they therefore have no living faith at all. But without this faith the human being fails in life, for now he lacks every foundation, he cannot understand the meaning and purpose of creation either, for everything that is related to God cannot be proven but must be believed, i.e. affirmed with the heart, and humanity lacks this living faith.... It may talk about the deity and supposedly profess it, but it actually only affirms the existence of a creator, since creation requires one. However, it does not recognize the connection between all things and therefore also not the relationship between man and the creator. However, the right relationship between man and the creator can only be established when man is convinced of a being Who leans towards him in love. For now he seeks to win this love for himself through prayer and devotion to his creator. Prayer, however, presupposes faith in a power Which can do anything It wants and wants everything that is good.... So the being must be omnipotent and loving.... The belief in such a perfect being can only be called a living one, for this belief only stimulates activity.... the human being likewise strives for perfection because he has the desire to come closer to the eternal deity, Which he now recognizes, but this requires the will to become active. However, where living faith is lacking, the will also remains inactive, or it sets itself a false goal.... it strives towards the world and the human being does not establish a connection with the being Who created him. The lack of faith is therefore the cause of the most diverse schools of thought, which aim to teach man's independence from the power that created him and which can therefore be called the death of a living faith. For the purpose and goal of earthly life is the conscious striving for the eternal deity, the desire for union, but this presupposes a living faith.... a faith that is a matter of the heart but can never be gained intellectually. God can only be felt, and as soon as the heart affirms Him, faith is also alive, for now the human being also establishes the right relationship with God according to this feeling, and a conscious striving for perfection is the result of this right attitude towards God. However, anyone who tries to fathom God intellectually is outside of faith, even if he tries to present himself as a believer through words. Living faith stimulates activity in the transformation of the soul, whereas formal faith lacks such and therefore cannot be called living, for everything that lives must be active or stimulate perpetual activity....

La foi vivante

C’est une foi vivante qui manque aux hommes, et c’est la chose la plus importante, parce que sans la foi vivante l'homme n'établit pas la liaison avec Dieu. Pour tendre à Dieu et avoir le désir pour l'unification avec Lui, Il doit d'abord Être affirmé dans le cœur. Il doit être ressenti comme Existant, donc l'homme doit croire en Lui, il doit croire qu'Il Est et qu'Il est en liaison étroite avec Ses créatures. Seulement cette foi vivante a pour conséquence de tendre vers Lui. Et ainsi la foi est absolument nécessaire et elle ne peut jamais plus être remplacée, parce que sans foi la prière à Dieu pour la Force et la Grâce est caduque. Celui qui ne reconnaît pas Dieu, ne l'invoque pas. Or l'invocation de Dieu pour la Force est inéluctable, parce que l'homme tout seul a trop peu de Force pour se développer vers le Haut, et cela est le but de la vie terrestre. Croire de façon vivante signifie pouvoir s'employer rempli de conviction pour quelque chose qui ne peut pas être démontré, et désormais vivre aussi selon cette conviction, c'est-à-dire la mettre en acte. Mais les hommes ont presque toujours seulement une foi morte, donc ils affirment seulement avec la bouche et reconnaissent tout ce qui est exigé d’eux de croire ; mais dès qu'ils doivent vivre en fonction de cette foi, ils n'en ont pas la Force, parce qu'ils ne sont pas en mesure de prier, donc de demander de l'Aide. Et si maintenant ils réfléchissent sérieusement sur cela, alors il devient clair pour eux, que leur intérieur, leur cœur, ne s’agence pas en mode affirmatif, ils n'ont donc aucune foi vivante. Or sans cette foi l'homme échoue dans la vie, parce que maintenant il lui manque tout fondement, il ne peut pas comprendre le sens et le but de la Création, parce que tout ce qui est reliée avec Dieu, n'est pas démontrable, mais doit être cru, cela doit être affirmé avec le cœur, et à l'humanité il manque cette foi vivante. Elle-même porte certes la Divinité dans la bouche et apparemment se déclare pour Elle, mais elle affirme vraiment seulement l'Existence d'un Créateur, vu que la Création en exige Un. Mais elle ne reconnaît pas la liaison de toutes les choses et donc elle ne reconnait pas le rapport entre l'homme et le Créateur. Or ce juste rapport de l'homme au Créateur peut être établi seulement lorsque l'homme est convaincu d'un Être qui se baisse vers lui dans l'Amour. Parce que maintenant il cherche à conquérir pour lui cet Amour à travers la prière et le dévouement à son Créateur. Mais la prière suppose la foi dans le Pouvoir qui peut tout ce qu’il veut, et fait tout ce qui est bon. Donc l'Entité doit Être toute-puissante et aimable. Seulement la foi dans une Entité parfaite peut être appelée vivante, parce que cette foi stimule à l'activité, l'homme tend aussi à la perfection, parce qu'il a le désir de s'approcher de l'éternelle Divinité qu’il reconnait maintenant, mais cela demande que la volonté devienne active. Mais là où manque la foi vivante, là la volonté reste aussi inactive. Ou bien elle se fixe un but erroné, elle tend vers le monde, et l'homme n'établit aucun lien avec l'Être qui l'a créé. L’absence de foi est donc le motif des plus diverses orientations de la foi qui tendent à enseigner l'indépendance de l'homme du Pouvoir qui l'a créé, et donc on peut appeler cela la mort d'une foi vivante. Parce que le but et l’objectif de la vie terrestre est une tendance consciente vers l'éternelle Divinité, le désir pour l'unification, chose qui cependant suppose une foi vivante, une foi qui est l'affaire du cœur, mais qui ne peut jamais être conquise intellectuellement. Dieu peut seulement Être perçu, et dès que le cœur l’affirme, il y a aussi une foi vivante, parce que maintenant, conformément à ce sentiment, l'homme établit aussi le juste rapport envers Dieu, et une tendance consciente à la perfection est la conséquence de cette juste prédisposition envers Dieu. Mais celui qui veut sonder Dieu intellectuellement, se trouve en dehors de la foi, bien que lui-même cherche à se présenter croyant à travers les mots. Une vivante foi stimule à l'activité dans la transformation de l'âme, tandis qu’une foi formelle fait manquer ce but et justement pour cela elle ne peut pas être appelée vivante, parce que tout ce qui vit doit s'activer ou bien stimuler à une activité toujours continue.
