Imperishable treasures.... barren life on earth....

Only that has lasting value which brings salvation to the soul, which earns it entry into the kingdom of light after death on earth. And only such good is to be striven for on earth. Thus only the deeds of the spirit are truly beneficial, i.e. what the spirit in the human being demands of the soul. But at the same time the body makes demands on the soul, namely what is to its advantage, i.e. what makes earthly life pleasant and attractive. And it is up to the soul to decide which demands it wants to fulfil. Consequently, the soul alone is also responsible for the wealth it gathers on earth. If it treats the body sparingly, the spiritual wealth will grow and this will bring it spiritual freedom. But if it listens to the body, then it itself will have to starve as soon as it detaches itself from the body. The spirit within it constantly urges it to gather spiritual wealth, and it hears its admonition and guidance all the more clearly and distinctly the less it respects the desires of the body. However, it must then also endeavour to follow the spirit within itself, otherwise its admonitions become weaker and are only barely perceptible to the soul. Then the human being is in danger of neglecting his actual task if his soul, i.e. all thinking, feeling and willing, only strives for earthly pleasures, i.e. only seeks what the body desires. For all these things are transient and have not the slightest eternal value. But life on earth is given to man so that he should create such values for himself that last, because the real life only begins when the body falls away from the soul. The human being who has suffered on earth for the sake of his soul, who only complied with the demands of the spirit within himself, will truly find a rich treasure in the beyond which will compensate him a thousand fold for what he gave away on earth, for only then will the soul live the right life, only then can it enjoy the fruits of its earthly way of life, whereas an earthly-minded soul will have to live in want and will enter the beyond inconceivably poor and naked and think of its unused earthly life in remorse. For this was given to it so that it should gather imperishable treasures for eternity....

Tesori imperituri - La vita terrena nella penuria

Ha valore permanente solo ciò che è per la salvezza dell’anima, ciò che procura l’entrata nel Regno di Luce dopo il decesso dalla Terra. E solo a questo bene si deve aspirare sulla Terra, quindi portano utilità solo le azioni dello spirito, cioè quello che lo spirito nell’uomo esige dall’anima. Ma contemporaneamente anche il corpo pone delle pretese all’anima e cioè quello che è a suo vantaggio, quel che forma piacevole ed affascinante la vita terrena. Ed ora spetta all’anima quali pretese vuole eseguire. Di conseguenza è responsabile anche soltanto l’anima per la ricchezza che raccoglie sulla Terra. Se provvede scarsamente al corpo, allora crescerà la ricchezza spirituale e questa le procura la libertà spirituale. Se dà ascolto al corpo, allora lei stessa dovrà languire appena si stacca dal corpo. Lo spirito in lei la spinge inarrestabilmente a raccogliersi il bene spirituale e lei sente il suo ammonimento e direttiva più chiaramente e limpidamente, meno bada ai desideri del corpo. Ma allora si deve anche sforzare a seguire lo spirito in sé, altrimenti i suoi ammonimenti diventano più deboli e poco percettibili all’anima. Allora l’uomo è in pericolo di trascurare il suo vero compito quando l’anima, cioè tutto il pensare, sentire e volere, è rivolto solo ai godimenti terreni, quindi aspira solo a ciò che desidera il corpo, perché tutte queste cose sono periture e non hanno il minimo valore per l’Eternità. La vita terrena però è data all’uomo affinché si debba creare tali valori che hanno sussistenza, perché la vera Vita comincia solo con il decesso del corpo dell’anima. L’uomo che ha languito sulla Terra per via della sua anima, che ha seguito solo le esigenze dello spirito in sé, troverà nell’aldilà un tesoro davvero ricco che gli sostituisce migliaia di volte ciò a cui ha rinunciato sulla Terra, perché solo ora l’anima conduce la vera Vita, solo ora può godere i frutti del suo cammino terreno, mentre l’anima di mentalità terrena deve ora languire ed entra nell’aldilà immensamente povera e nuda e pensa con pentimento alla sua vita terrena non utilizzata, perché questa le era stata data affinché raccogliesse tesori imperituri per l’Eternità.
