Rejecting the word of God is turning to the enemy of God....

The antithesis of God is sought as soon as man closes himself off to the divine word, for then he is resisting the influx of power from God, and that in itself is a turning towards God's adversary. Anyone who rejects the word of God also rejects God Himself, for God is the word.... And if he uses God in his mouth, this is only a figure of speech which he uses without recognizing God. But if God Himself approaches him, he sets his will against it and cannot be forcibly brought to God. And yet he believes he is using his will correctly and being faithful to God when he has grown up in a false idea, and he only remains faithful to this false idea.... He clings tenaciously to his old beliefs and cannot be convinced that he is holding an erroneous doctrine because this conviction cannot be forcibly taught to him but must be gained by him of his own accord. The heart must be active, he must feel the urge within himself to fathom the truth and enter into intimate contact with God Himself, then he will recognize if and when he is walking in the truth. The word of God will enlighten him about everything, but clarity can never come to him if he rejects the word of God. God's adversary, however, will strengthen his will to reject it, he will mentally afflict him and he will also be successful, for people's will is far more inclined to accept his teachings, which are permeated by error, than the divine truth. And thus the human being is in union with God's opposite pole and his thoughts and actions correspond to it. He does not become active himself but persists in what he was previously offered, and that is his mistake, that he has appropriated something without seriously examining it and now shies away from a serious examination because he wants nothing other than what he possesses.... he is afraid of recognizing the flimsiness of what he possesses and therefore defends it all the more zealously. God, however, repeatedly tries to guide these people onto the path of truth, and He always comes close to them as soon as they lift their thoughts to Him. For they can only arrive at the truth through serious reflection, and time and again He will cause people to reflect in order to snatch them from the adversary's power and to be able to offer them His word and, with this word, also the power....

Rifiutare la Parola di Dio è un rivolgersi all’avversario di Dio

Appena l’uomo si chiude alla Parola divina, aspira al polo opposto di Dio, perché allora si oppone contro l’afflusso della Forza da Dio e già questo è un rivolgersi all’avversario di Dio. Chi rifiuta la Parola di Dio si ribella anche contro Dio Stesso, perché Dio E’ la Parola. E se porta Dio nella bocca, è soltanto un modo di parlare che usa senza riconoscere Dio. Ma se Dio Stesso gli Si avvicina, oppone la sua volontà e non può essere guidato a Dio per costrizione. Malgrado ciò crede di usare bene la sua volontà e di essere fedele a Dio, quando è cresciuto in una falsa presentazione e le rimane fedele. Si aggrappa ai suoi vecchi punti di vista con una ostinazione e non può essere convinto dal fatto che rappresenta un insegnamento errato, perché questa convinzione non gli può essere insegnata con la costrizione, ma dev’essere conquistata da lui con la propria spinta. Dev’essere attivo il cuore, deve sentire in sé la spinta di sondare la Verità ed entrare in intimo contatto con Dio Stesso, allora riconoscerà se e quando cammina nella Verità. La Parola di Dio gli darà il chiarimento su tutto, ma non può mai e poi mai avere il chiarimento quando respinge la Parola di Dio. L’avversario di Dio però rafforza la sua volontà per il rifiuto, lo opprimerà mentalmente ed avrà anche successo, perché la volontà degli uomini è molto più incline ad accettare i suoi insegnamenti compenetrati dall’errore che la Verità divina. E così l’uomo sta in unione con il polo opposto di Dio ed il suo pensare ed agire corrisponde a questo. Lui stesso non sarà attivo, ma rimarrà attaccato a ciò che gli era stato offerto prima e questo è il suo errore, che si è appropriato di qualcosa senza averlo esaminato seriamente ed ora si spaventa da un serio esame, perché non vuole altro di ciò che possiede, teme di riconoscere la precarietà di ciò che possiede e perciò lo sostiene con maggior fervore. Ma Dio cerca sempre di nuovo di guidare anche questi uomini sulla via della Verità e Si avvicina sempre di nuovo a loro, appena elevano i loro pensieri a Lui. Perché solo attraverso una seria riflessione possono arrivare alla Verità ed Egli indurrà gli uomini sempre di nuovo alla riflessione, per strapparli dal potere dell’avversario e poter offrire loro la Sua Parola e con questa anche la Forza.
