Rejecting the word of God is turning to the enemy of God....

The antithesis of God is sought as soon as man closes himself off to the divine word, for then he is resisting the influx of power from God, and that in itself is a turning towards God's adversary. Anyone who rejects the word of God also rejects God Himself, for God is the word.... And if he uses God in his mouth, this is only a figure of speech which he uses without recognizing God. But if God Himself approaches him, he sets his will against it and cannot be forcibly brought to God. And yet he believes he is using his will correctly and being faithful to God when he has grown up in a false idea, and he only remains faithful to this false idea.... He clings tenaciously to his old beliefs and cannot be convinced that he is holding an erroneous doctrine because this conviction cannot be forcibly taught to him but must be gained by him of his own accord. The heart must be active, he must feel the urge within himself to fathom the truth and enter into intimate contact with God Himself, then he will recognize if and when he is walking in the truth. The word of God will enlighten him about everything, but clarity can never come to him if he rejects the word of God. God's adversary, however, will strengthen his will to reject it, he will mentally afflict him and he will also be successful, for people's will is far more inclined to accept his teachings, which are permeated by error, than the divine truth. And thus the human being is in union with God's opposite pole and his thoughts and actions correspond to it. He does not become active himself but persists in what he was previously offered, and that is his mistake, that he has appropriated something without seriously examining it and now shies away from a serious examination because he wants nothing other than what he possesses.... he is afraid of recognizing the flimsiness of what he possesses and therefore defends it all the more zealously. God, however, repeatedly tries to guide these people onto the path of truth, and He always comes close to them as soon as they lift their thoughts to Him. For they can only arrive at the truth through serious reflection, and time and again He will cause people to reflect in order to snatch them from the adversary's power and to be able to offer them His word and, with this word, also the power....

Refuser la Parole de Dieu c’est se tourner vers l'adversaire de Dieu

Dès que l'homme se ferme à la Parole divine, il aspire au pole opposé de Dieu, parce qu'alors il s'oppose contre l'afflux de la Force de Dieu et déjà cela consiste à se tourner vers l'adversaire de Dieu. Celui qui refuse la Parole de Dieu se rebelle aussi contre Dieu Lui-Même, parce que Dieu Est la Parole. Et s’il porte Dieu dans la bouche, c’est seulement une façon de parler qu'il emploie sans reconnaître Dieu. Mais si Dieu Lui-Même s'approche, il oppose sa volonté et il ne peut pas être guidé par Dieu par contrainte. Malgré cela il croit bien employer sa volonté et être fidèle à Dieu, lorsqu’il a crû dans une fausse présentation et qu’il lui reste fidèle. Il s'agrippe à ses vieux points de vue avec obstination et il ne peut pas être convaincu du fait qu’il détient un enseignement erroné, parce que cette conviction ne peut pas lui être enseignée par la contrainte, mais elle doit être conquise par lui avec sa propre poussée. Le cœur doit être actif, il doit sentir en lui la poussée de sonder la Vérité et d’entrer en intime contact avec Dieu Lui-Même, alors il reconnaîtra si et quand il marche dans la Vérité. La Parole de Dieu lui donnera l'éclaircissement sur tout, mais il ne peut jamais et encore jamais avoir l'éclaircissement lorsqu’il repousse la Parole de Dieu. L'adversaire de Dieu cependant renforce sa volonté pour le refus, il l'opprimera mentalement et il obtiendra même du succès, parce que la volonté des hommes est beaucoup plus encline à accepter ses enseignements compénétrés d'erreur que la Vérité divine. Et ainsi l'homme est en union avec le pole opposé de Dieu et ses pensées et ses actes correspondent à cela. Lui-même ne sera pas actif, mais il restera attaché à ce qui lui a été offert en premier et cela est son erreur car il s’est approprié quelque chose sans l’avoir l'examiné sérieusement et maintenant il est effrayé par un examen sérieux, parce qu'il ne veut pas autre chose que ce qu’il possède, il craint de reconnaître la précarité de ce qu’il possède et donc il le soutient avec une grande ferveur. Mais Dieu cherche toujours de nouveau à guider ces hommes sur la Vérité et Il s'approche toujours de nouveau d’eux dès qu'ils élèvent leurs pensées vers Lui. Parce que seulement à travers une sérieuse réflexion ils peuvent arriver à la Vérité et Il poussera les hommes toujours de nouveau à la réflexion, pour les arracher au pouvoir de l'adversaire et pouvoir leur offrir Sa Parole et avec celle-ci aussi Sa Force.
