Spiritual flight to the heights.... conveying the spiritual good of the soul....

As soon as the spirit frees itself in order to vibrate into spiritual regions a change takes place, for the soul, which gives freedom to the spirit, awaits its return, i.e., it desires to participate in the realizations which the spirit has gained in the kingdom of light. And thus the human being longs for the light, for knowledge, and can now be taught accordingly by its spirit. He can impart all knowledge to it, for he takes the spiritual knowledge from the spiritual kingdom down to earth; he tries to reproduce in images to the soul what he has received in that kingdom. This process is like the reproduction of an image that the eye has seen and has now been mentally captured in order to recreate it as an image. The more often the spirit dwells in those regions, the greater will be the soul's desire to be instructed by it and the more able it will be to receive the spirit's messages, for once it gives the spirit within itself the freedom to soar, it will also be willing to participate in its activity. The activity of the spirit, however, is the passing on of what it has received itself. In the spiritual kingdom every light being will want to externalize itself, i.e. want to radiate its light onto the spiritual, which still lacks such, consequently the spirit in man, when it connects itself with the light beings, must receive this spiritual radiation, it must so to speak take up what those give away and therefore increase itself in itself. And again it will want to give itself away, and that to the soul which harbours it.... which shapes itself accordingly in order to be able to receive light again. A soul that gives freedom to the spirit within itself also endeavours to work on itself in order to be in constant contact with the spirit and thus also with the spiritual world, which constantly nourishes the spirit within it. The soul will be able to speak of extraordinary successes, of spiritual higher development and significant progress if its whole endeavour is directed towards the connection with the spiritual world, for then it pays little attention to the body and unites itself with the spirit.... then it consciously fulfils the task it was given for earthly life.... It overcomes all physical desire, thus also all matter, and finds its happiness in maintaining intimate contact with the spirit and receiving priceless possessions from the spiritual kingdom. And then it is in the state which enables it to enter the spiritual kingdom after the death of the body carefree and unbound, where only its knowledge is valued, which means imperishable wealth for it in eternity....

Geestelijke vlucht naar de hoogte – Het overdragen van eestelijke goederen aan de ziel

Zodra de geest zich vrij maakt om zich naar geestelijke regionen te verheffen, treedt er een verandering op, waardoor de ziel, welke de geest de vrijheid geeft, op haar terugkeer wacht. Dat wil zeggen dat ze ernaar verlangt deel te hebben aan de inzichten, die de geest in het rijk van het licht verworven heeft. En zo heeft de mens een verlangen naar licht, naar kennis en hij kan nu daarom door zijn geest onderwezen worden. Deze kan hem elke kennis overdragen, want hij neemt de geestelijke goederen vanuit het geestelijke rijk mee naar de aarde. Hij probeert de ziel in beelden weer te geven, wat hij in dit rijk opgenomen heeft. Deze gebeurtenis is hetzelfde als de weergave van een beeld, dat het oog gezien heeft en nu in de gedachten vastgehouden wordt, om het weer als beeld te kunnen laten ontstaan.

Hoe vaker nu de geest in deze regionen verblijft, des te groter zal ook het verlangen van de ziel zijn om door hem onderwezen te worden en des te bekwamer wordt ze om de boodschappen van de geest op te nemen, want als ze eenmaal de geest in haar de vrijheid geeft om zich naar de hoogte te verheffen, is ze ook bereidwillig om deel te nemen aan zijn activiteiten. Maar de werkzaamheid van de geest is het doorgeven van dat, wat hij zelf ontvangen heeft.

In het geestelijke rijk zal elk lichtwezen zich weg willen geven. Dat wil zeggen licht uit willen stralen naar het geestelijke, dat het daaraan nog ontbreekt. Bijgevolg moet de geest in de mens, als hij zich met de lichtwezens verbindt, deze geestelijke uitstraling in ontvangst nemen. Hij moet in zekere zin opnemen, wat deze afgeven en zich zodoende in zichzelf vermeerderen. En hij zal zelf weer af willen geven en wil dat de ziel, waarin de geest aanwezig is, zich overeenkomstig ontwikkelt om weer voor het in ontvangstnemen van licht geschikt te zijn.

Een ziel, die de geest in zich de vrijheid geeft, streeft er ook vanzelf naar om aan zichzelf te werken om in voortdurende verbinding te kunnen staan met de geest en dus ook met de geestelijke wereld, die de geest in haar voortdurend voedsel geeft. De ziel zal van buitengewone successen kunnen spreken. Van een geestelijke opwaartse ontwikkeling en een belangrijke vooruitgang als haar gehele streven op de verbinding met de geestelijke wereld gericht is, want dan schenkt ze weinig aandacht aan het lichaam en verenigt ze zich met de geest. Dan vervult ze bewust de opdracht, die haar voor het aardse leven gegeven werd.

Ze overwint alle lichamelijke verlangens. En dus ook elke materie en ze wordt er blij van om een innig contact met de geest te onderhouden en onschatbare goederen uit het geestelijke rijk in ontvangst te nemen. En dan verkeert ze in de toestand, die haar in staat stelt om na de lichamelijke dood onbekommerd en ongebonden het geestelijke rijk binnen te gaan, waar enkel haar kennis gewaardeerd wordt, dat in de eeuwigheid onvergankelijke rijkdom voor haar betekent.
