Servant of God....

As soon as a person declares himself willing to participate in the redemption of immature souls, he places his will to work at the service of the lord. He voluntarily offers himself to Him as an assistant, he wants to do what is pleasing to God.... to serve God, i.e. to take care of the souls of his fellow human beings in love and to lead those who are still far from God to Him. This activity will always meet with God's approval because it corresponds to the actual purpose of earthly life, which consists of the redemption of the struggling, still unfree spirits. Whoever offers himself to serve God for this work of redemption is therefore in truth His servant who submits himself to the divine will and is active for Him with His support on earth. Being in God's service is extremely beneficial, because a servant of God is constantly supplied with His grace. God gives him the ability in the same measure as man is willing to serve. God needs labourers for His vineyard in large numbers, and where a person is devoted to God in love, this love expresses itself in a voluntary offer to work, and God accepts his request. He instructs him well beforehand so that he is now able to carry out the work which God now assigns to him. The human being concludes the contract with God in his innermost heart alone, he offers himself to Him without being influenced by the world or his fellow human beings; his love for God and his fellow human beings alone drives him to give himself to God as His servant who is always subject to Him, and no ceremony and no outward appearance is required, for only the human being's will to be redemptively active and to serve God and his fellow human beings is decisive.... Thus the lord calls these His servants, these He considers with His word, these He teaches in the spirit and He gives them strength and grace so that they can now also fulfil their ministry and be active labourers in His vineyard.... A great task lies ahead of them.... they must be the mediators between God and people.... on His behalf they must inform them of His will, they must instruct people to do everything God asks of them, for only by fulfilling the divine will does the human soul become free; it frees itself from the shackles of a power that holds it captive, it is redeemed from this power through the love of God and those people who serve Him in deepest love and humility....

하나님의 종.

사람이 성숙하지 못한 혼의 구속에 참여할 준비가 되었다고 선언하면, 그는 주님을 섬기려는 의지를 주님께 드린 것이다. 그는 자원하여 자신을 돕는 사람으로 자신을 드리고, 하나님을 기쁘게 하는 일을 하기를 원한다. 하나님을 섬기기 위해, 즉 사랑으로 이웃 사람의 혼을 돌보고, 아직 하나님과 멀리 있는 상태에 있는 그들을 하나님께 인도하는 일을 하기를 원한다. 이런 일은 항상 하나님의 허락을 받을 것이다. 왜냐면 아직 자유롭지 않은 영적인 존재들을 구원하는 일이 이 땅의 삶의 실제 목적과 일치하기 때문이다.

그러므로 이런 구속사역을 하는, 하나님을 섬기는 일에 자신을 드리는 사람은 진실로 하나님의 종이고, 그는 자신을 하나님의 뜻에 종속시키고, 그는 이 땅에서 하나님의 지원을 받아 하나님을 위해 일한다. 하나님을 섬기는 일은 매우 축복된 일이다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 은혜는 하나님의 종에게 끊임없이 흐르기 때문이다. 하나님은 사람이 섬길 준비가 된 정도에 따라 그에게 능력을 준다. 하나님은 자신의 포도원을 위해 많은 일꾼들이 필요하고, 사람이 사랑으로 하나님께 헌신하는 곳에서, 이 사랑은 자원하여 일하기 위해 자신을 드리는 일로 나타나고, 하나님은 그의 요청을 받아드린다. 하나님은 이제 자신이 그에게 주는 일을 그가 수행할 수 있도록, 그가 능력을 갖추도록 그를 가르친다.

사람은 가장 깊은 심장으로 유일하게 하나님과 접촉을 하고, 세상이나 이웃사람의 영향을 받지 않고 자신을 하나님께 드린다. 그의 하나님을 향한 사랑과 그의 이웃 사람들을 향한 사랑이 단지 그가 항상 하나님께 순종하는 하나님의 종으로서 자신을 드리게 한다. 이일에 어떤 의식이나 외적인 일은 필요가 없다. 왜냐면 유일한 결정적인 요소가 구원하는 일을 하려는, 하나님과 이웃을 섬기려는 의지이기 때문이다. 하나님은 이런 사람을 자신의 종으로 칭하고, 그들에게 자신의 말씀을 주고, 영으로 그들을 가르치고, 그들에게 힘과 은혜를 주어, 그들이 이제 그들의 직분을 수행할 수 있게 하고, 자신의 포도원에서 열심히 일하는 일꾼이 될 수 있게 한다.

그들에게 큰 과제가 부과가 된다. 그들은 하나님과 사람 사이의 중개자가 되어야만 하고, 하나님의 사명을 받아, 하나님의 뜻을 선포해야만 한다. 그들은 하나님이 사람들에게 요구하는 모든 일을 하도록 그들에게 알려줘야만 한다. 왜냐하면 인간의 혼은 단지 하나님의 뜻을 성취함으로써 해방되기 때문이다. 혼은 자신을 사로잡은 권세를 벗어나게 될 것이다. 혼은 하나님의 사랑과, 하나님을 향한 가장 깊은 사랑과 가장 깊은 겸손으로 하나님을 섬기는 사람들의 사랑을 통해, 이런 권세로부터 구원을 받는다.
