Servant of God....

As soon as a person declares himself willing to participate in the redemption of immature souls, he places his will to work at the service of the lord. He voluntarily offers himself to Him as an assistant, he wants to do what is pleasing to God.... to serve God, i.e. to take care of the souls of his fellow human beings in love and to lead those who are still far from God to Him. This activity will always meet with God's approval because it corresponds to the actual purpose of earthly life, which consists of the redemption of the struggling, still unfree spirits. Whoever offers himself to serve God for this work of redemption is therefore in truth His servant who submits himself to the divine will and is active for Him with His support on earth. Being in God's service is extremely beneficial, because a servant of God is constantly supplied with His grace. God gives him the ability in the same measure as man is willing to serve. God needs labourers for His vineyard in large numbers, and where a person is devoted to God in love, this love expresses itself in a voluntary offer to work, and God accepts his request. He instructs him well beforehand so that he is now able to carry out the work which God now assigns to him. The human being concludes the contract with God in his innermost heart alone, he offers himself to Him without being influenced by the world or his fellow human beings; his love for God and his fellow human beings alone drives him to give himself to God as His servant who is always subject to Him, and no ceremony and no outward appearance is required, for only the human being's will to be redemptively active and to serve God and his fellow human beings is decisive.... Thus the lord calls these His servants, these He considers with His word, these He teaches in the spirit and He gives them strength and grace so that they can now also fulfil their ministry and be active labourers in His vineyard.... A great task lies ahead of them.... they must be the mediators between God and people.... on His behalf they must inform them of His will, they must instruct people to do everything God asks of them, for only by fulfilling the divine will does the human soul become free; it frees itself from the shackles of a power that holds it captive, it is redeemed from this power through the love of God and those people who serve Him in deepest love and humility....

Diener Gottes....

Sowie sich der Mensch bereit erklärt, an der Erlösung unreifer Seelen sich zu beteiligen, stellt er seinen Tätigkeitswillen in den Dienst des Herrn. Er bietet sich Ihm freiwillig an als Hilfskraft, er will das tun, was Gott wohlgefällig ist.... Gott dienen, d.h. sich in Liebe der Seelen seiner Mitmenschen annehmen und sie, die noch in Gott-fernem Zustand sind, Ihm zuführen. Diese Tätigkeit wird immer Gottes Zustimmung finden, denn sie entspricht ja dem eigentlichen Zweck des Erdenlebens, der in der Erlösung des ringenden, noch unfreien Geistigen besteht. Wer sich selbst für dieses Erlösungswerk Gott zum Dienst anbietet, ist also in Wahrheit Sein Diener, der sich dem göttlichen Willen unterstellt und für Ihn mit Seiner Unterstützung auf Erden tätig ist. Im Dienst Gottes zu stehen ist überaus segensreich, denn einem Diener Gottes strömt unentwegt Seine Gnade zu. Gott gibt ihm die Fähigkeit im gleichen Maß, wie der Mensch dienstbereit ist. Gott benötigt Arbeiter für Seinen Weinberg in großer Zahl, und wo ein Mensch in Liebe Gott ergeben ist, dort äußert sich diese Liebe im freiwilligen Anbieten zur Arbeit, und dessen Antrag nimmt Gott an. Er unterweiset ihn zuvor wohl, auf daß er fähig ist, die Arbeit nun auszuführen, die Gott ihm nun aufträgt. Den Kontrakt schließt der Mensch allein im innersten Herzen mit Gott ab, er bietet sich Ihm an, unbeeinflußt von der Welt oder von Mitmenschen; seine Liebe zu Gott und zu den Mitmenschen allein treibt ihn, sich Gott hinzugeben als Sein Ihm stets untergebener Diener, und es bedarf keiner Zeremonie und keiner Äußerlichkeit, denn ausschlaggebend ist allein der Wille des Menschen, erlösend tätig zu sein und Gott und dem Mitmenschen zu dienen.... Diese also nennt der Herr Seine Diener, diese bedenket Er mit Seinem Wort, diese belehret Er im Geist, und Er gibt ihnen Kraft und Gnade, daß sie nun auch ihres Amtes walten können und rüstige Arbeiter sind in Seinem Weinberg.... Ihnen liegt eine große Aufgabe ob.... sie müssen die Mittler sein zwischen Gott und den Menschen.... sie müssen in Seinem Auftrag ihnen Kunde geben von Seinem Willen, sie müssen die Menschen hinweisen, alles zu tun, was Gott von ihnen verlangt, denn nur durch das Erfüllen des göttlichen Willens wird die Seele des Menschen frei; sie befreit sich aus den Fesseln einer Macht, die sie gefangenhält, sie wird aus dieser Gewalt erlöst durch die Liebe Gottes und jener Menschen, die Ihm in tiefster Liebe und Demut dienen....
