Necessity of suffering....

Suffering should make you humans realize that you are still walking wrong paths on earth, that you are not yet purified in your thinking or that you are still far removed from God. As soon as you do not work on yourselves, as soon as you believe that you no longer need an education, you stand still in your spiritual development, and then God has to send you suffering so that you become aware of your shortcomings and join Him closely in prayer. Then only a small amount of suffering will be necessary for you to seek union with God and He can take it away from you again as soon as your thinking is right.... Most of the time, however, humanity is far removed from God, and then it cannot find its way back to Him even through suffering. Then people rebel against the power they are powerless in the face of, and the greater the suffering they have to bear. For if God takes away their suffering, they fall back into their old mistakes and arrogance, they recognize neither God nor their imperfection, and so they do not strive towards God by trying to shape themselves into perfection. There are only very few people who can be spared suffering because they consciously work on themselves, and there are only a few to whom God can draw near to help them bear the suffering, so that such suffering cannot pass them by for the sake of humanity. And therefore the earth will be afflicted in such a way that one sorrowful event will replace the other, and a great affliction will come upon people whose life on earth does not correspond to divine will. For the harsh adversity will change the human being as it appears unbearable to him, and that is the purpose of suffering. God is always ready with His help if people call upon Him, and they can make even the greatest suffering ineffective in a short time through heartfelt prayer. Yet how rarely do people find their way to Him, how rarely does a deep, childlike prayer rise up to the father in heaven so that He can turn to the supplicant and fulfil his request. People become hard and closed-minded when they could achieve everything by trustingly asking.... And that is why they increase the extent of their suffering, they drive themselves deeper and deeper into suffering and misery, so to speak, and they do not recognize God's love in this, which wants to help them....

Notwendigkeit des Leides....

Das Leid soll euch Menschen zur Einsicht kommen lassen, daß ihr noch falsche Wege wandelt auf Erden, daß ihr in eurem Denken noch nicht geläutert seid oder daß ihr euch noch in weitester Gottferne befindet. Sowie ihr an euch selbst nicht arbeitet, sowie ihr glaubt, keine Erziehung mehr nötig zu haben, bleibt ihr in eurer geistigen Entwicklung stehen, und dann muß Gott euch Leid senden, auf daß ihr euch eurer Mängel bewußt werdet und ihr euch Ihm innig anschließet im Gebet. Dann wird nur ein geringes Maß von Leid nötig sein, daß ihr die Verbundenheit mit Gott suchet, und Er kann es wieder von euch nehmen, sowie euer Denken recht gerichtet ist.... Zumeist aber steht die Menschheit in weitester Gottferne, und dann findet sie auch durch Leid nicht zu Ihm zurück. Dann bäumen sich die Menschen auf wider die Macht, Der sie doch ohnmächtig gegenüberstehen, und desto größeres Leid müssen sie tragen. Denn nimmt Gott ihnen das Leid, so fallen sie in ihre alten Fehler und ihre Überheblichkeit zurück, sie erkennen weder Gott noch ihre Unvollkommenheit, und also streben sie nicht Gott entgegen, indem sie sich zur Vollkommenheit zu gestalten suchen. Es sind nur sehr wenige Menschen, denen Leid erspart bleiben kann, weil sie bewußt an sich arbeiten, und es sind nur wenige, denen Sich Gott nahen kann, daß Er ihnen das Leid tragen hilft, so solches um der Menschheit willen auch an ihnen nicht vorübergehen kann. Und deshalb wird die Erde heimgesucht in einer Weise, daß ein leidvolles Geschehen das andere ablöst, und es wird eine große Bedrängnis kommen über die Menschen, deren Erdenwandel nicht dem göttlichen Willen entspricht. Denn die harte Not wird den Menschen wandeln, so wie sie ihm untragbar erscheint, und das ist der Zweck des Leides. Gott ist mit Seiner Hilfe immer bereit, so die Menschen Ihn anrufen, und sie können sich selbst das größte Leid in Kürze unwirksam machen durch inniges Gebet. Doch wie selten finden die Menschen den Weg zu Ihm, wie selten steigt ein tiefes, kindliches Gebet zum Vater im Himmel empor, daß Er Sich dem Bittsteller zuneigen und ihm seine Bitte erfüllen kann. Hart und verschlossen werden die Menschen, wo sie doch zutraulich bittend alles erreichen könnten.... Und darum vermehren sie das Maß ihrer Leiden, sie treiben sich gewissermaßen immer tiefer in Leid und Not, und sie erkennen darin nicht die Liebe Gottes, die ihnen helfen möchte....
