Spiritual decline....

The people of the present do not recognize where they are drifting. They are alive and yet dead in spirit. They find no connection with God because they do not seek Him. The earthly world means everything to them, but their train of thought does not go beyond that. And therefore every day is spent uselessly in a spiritual sense.... higher development is called into question, indeed, a spiritual regression is often recorded which has tremendously serious consequences. And even if people are made aware of their actual task on earth, they do not listen to such ideas because once again the world and its demands seem to be the only important thing to them. And thus their earthly course is a misguided one, for these people the earth is not what it should be.... And God's love and wisdom does not allow people to misuse their earthly life, to give it a different purpose than God has determined, for His instructions are wise and unsurpassable. But if the human being no longer recognizes God's wisdom he also disregards His instructions and this can only lead to the downfall of that which is supposed to develop upwards. But an upward development can only take place when the human being makes contact with the spiritual and ignores the world. But humanity is disenchanted, it hurries and chases after earthly goals, it is incapable of a spiritual connection because it is unwilling, for striving for the spiritual seems worthless to it since it does not result in earthly success.... And this is spiritual decline.... This is a state which God does not stand idly by but which He tries to remedy by shaking people out of their spiritual lethargy through events which strongly shake people's thinking. God has all power, and He will truly also prove His power to people so that they will learn to recognize Him and seriously try to think about the meaning and purpose of earthly life. And thus He will first take away from people what has occupied their thoughts up to now.... earthly goods and earthly pleasures. They should first recognize the worthlessness of this in its transience and, after times of disappointment, reflect on the only thing of value.... about the relationship between man and God.... He seeks to awaken in them the desire for imperishable good by abandoning to decay everything that has dominated their thinking up to now. And this is the purpose of the coming events which God inevitably has to let come upon people so that they will still utilize the rest of their lives for the salvation of their souls, which so far had to do without all care....

Il naufragio spirituale

Gli uomini del presente non riconoscono dove stanno andando. Vivono e sono comunque morti nello spirito, Non trovano nessun collegamento con Dio, perché non Lo cercano. Il mondo terreno significa tutto per loro, ma il cammino dei pensieri non va oltre. Perciò ogni giorno è stato consumato inutilmente nel senso spirituale, lo sviluppo verso l’Alto è messo in discussione, anzi sovente è da registrare una retrocessione spirituale che ha delle immense gravi conseguenze. Anche se agli uomini viene indicato il loro vero compito terreno, non danno nessun ascolto a tali presentazioni, perché unicamente il mondo e le sue pretese sembrano loro importanti. Quindi il loro cammino terreno è perduto, la Terra non è quello che dev’essere per questi uomini. L’Amore e la Sapienza di Dio non permette che gli uomini abusino della loro vita terrena, che diano a questa un altro scopo di quello che Dio ha deciso, perché le sue Predisposizioni sono sagge ed insuperabili. Se però l’uomo non riconosce più la Sapienza di Dio, allora disdegna anche le sue Disposizioni, e questo può condurre soltanto al naufragio per ciò che deve svilupparsi verso l’Alto. Ma uno sviluppo verso l’Alto può avvenire solamente quando l’uomo prende contatto con lo spirituale e lascia inosservato il mondo. L’umanità però è despiritualizzata, s’affretta e corre dietro a mete terrene, è incapace per un collegamento spirituale, perché non vuole, perché tendere allo spirituale sembra loro inutile, dato che non promette nessun successo terreno. Questa è il naufragio spirituale, questo è uno stato a cui Dio non assiste senza far nulla, ma Egli cerca di eliminarlo, mentre scuote gli uomini dalla letargia spirituale attraversi degli eventi, che scuotono fortemente il pensare degli uomini. Dio però ha tutto il Potere, ed Egli dimostrerà davvero anche il Suo potere agli uomini, affinché imparino a riconoscerLo e che cerchino seriamente di riflettere sul senso e scopo della vita terrena. Quindi dapprima toglie agli uomini ciò che ha occupato finora il loro pensare, beni terreni e gioie terrene. Nella loro caducità devono dapprima riconoscere il non-valore e dopo un po’ di tempo di delusioni riflettere sull’unica cosa preziosa, sul rapporto dell’uomo con Dio. Egli cerca di risvegliare in loro il desiderio per un bene imperituro, mentre espone alla decadenza tutto ciò che dominava finora il loro pensare. E questo è lo scopo degli avvenimenti in arrivo, che Dio inevitabilmente deve lasciar venire sugli uomini, affinché sfruttino ancora il resto della loro vita per la salvezza delle loro anime, che hanno dovuto rinunciare finora ad ogni provvedimento.
