Spiritual teachings require prayer for God's grace....

Every spiritual instruction brings the earthly child an unimaginable blessing as soon as it is preceded by earnest prayer for God's grace and thus makes His gift of grace possible. God wants to bestow His grace upon the human being, and it is an incomprehensible grace when He wants to make him knowledgeable and impart His teachings to him. But man is not always ready to receive His grace; he is not always willing to be taught or to accept what is offered to him into his heart. However, divine grace can only become effective in man when he desires it, i.e. requests it through fervent prayer. The teachings which God sends to people are so extraordinarily informative and enlighten the human spirit.... Everything he was previously unable to understand becomes comprehensible to him, his striving to ascend is made considerably easier because he recognizes the meaning and purpose of earthly life.... He realizes his outcome and also his goal.... and he can now complete his earthly life according to his knowledge, i.e. profitably for eternity. This is an undeserved grace, a gift which is based on God's love but which will never be granted to a person who does not respect such a gift of grace, who does not desire it, who therefore does not consciously request it from God through prayer. And therefore so many people come away empty-handed, they cannot be given divine wisdom, they cannot receive His instructions, for they do nothing in order to partake of divine grace; they do not implore Him for such, even though God wants to offer it to them time and again, thus informing them of His greater than great love and mercy through the mouth of a human being. The reference to this should move people to trustingly turn to Him in prayer for the transmission of His grace. They are to come to the father like children and present their weakness and spiritual hardship to Him, and they are to request strength and vigour from Him so that He can now hand out His grace in abundance, so that He can instruct them and impart purest knowledge to them. Then richest blessings will be their reward, they will mature spiritually and increase their knowledge, they will be able to collect and distribute spiritual possessions as long as they walk on earth and one day they will be able to enter eternity with rich treasures. And they will resist every temptation, for if knowledge is imparted to them then strength will also flow to them, for knowledge is light and strength.... And thus they will also be able to offer resistance to every temptation. The more they make use of His divine gift of grace the more fervently they will long for God and the more eagerly they will strive towards Him. What they desire, they will not let lie fallow. They will also want to bless their fellow human beings with what has become dear and valuable to them; they will pass on the teachings they have received in love, and if this work is accompanied by heartfelt prayer, it will be blessed....

영적인 가르침에는 하나님의 은혜를 위한 기도가 필요하다.

하나님의 은혜를 위한 진지한 기도가 선행이 된다면, 모든 영적 가르침은 이 땅의 자녀에게 말할 수 없는 축복을 준다. 다시 말해 기도가 하나님이 은혜를 베풀 수 있게 만든다. 하나님은 사람들에게 자신의 은혜를 주기를 원한다. 하나님이 자신의 가르침을 주고, 전하기를 원한다면, 이런 일은 이해할 수 없게 큰 은혜이다. 그러나 사람이 항상 그의 은혜를 받을 준비가 되어 있지 않다. 사람은 항상 자신을 가르치도록 허용하지 않거나 또는 심장 안에서 자신에게 제공되는 것을 취하지 않는다. 그러나 하나님의 은혜는 사람들이 원할 때, 즉 긴밀한 기도를 통해 구할 때, 역사가 나타날 수 있다.

하나님이 사람들에게 주는 가르침은 매우 유익하고 인간의 영을 밝게 해준다. 사람이 전에는 이해할 수 없었던 모든 것을 이해할 수 있게 되고, 높은 곳을 향한 그의 노력이 그에게 현저하게 수월해진다. 왜냐면 그가 이 땅의 삶의 의미와 목적을 깨닫기 때문이다. 그는 자신의 출처와 목표를 알게 되고, 이제 자신의 지식에 따라, 즉 영원을 위해 도움이 되게 그의 이 땅의 삶을 살 수 있게 된다. 이런 일은 벌어드리지 않은 은혜이고, 하나님의 사랑에 기초한 선물이다. 그러나 이런 은혜의 선물을 존중하지 않고, 원하지 않는 사람들에게는, 따라서 의식적인 기도를 통해 하나님께 은혜를 구하지 않는 사람에게는 절대로 임하지 않는다.

그러므로 많은 사람이 빈손이 되고, 하나님의 지혜를 받을 수 없고, 그의 가르침을 받을 수 없다. 왜냐하면 그들은 하나님의 은혜를 얻기 위해 아무 일도 하지 않기 때문이다. 비록 하나님이 그들에게 항상 또 다시 이런 은혜를 주기를 원하여, 사람들의 입을 통해 자신의 큰 사랑과 긍휼에 대해 그들에게 알려줄지라도, 그들은 하나님께 은혜를 간청하지 않는다.

이에 대한 언급은 사람들이 하나님의 은혜를 받기 위해 전적으로 신뢰하며, 하나님께 간청하게 만들어야 한다. 그들은 자녀들처럼 아버지께 다가와, 그들의 연약함과 혼의 고통을 아뢰고, 아버지께 힘과 강하게 해주기를 구해야 한다. 이로써 아버지가 이제 자신의 은혜를 넘치게 베풀 수 있게 해야 하고, 아버지가 그들을 가르치고, 그들에게 가장 순수한 지식을 전해줄 수 있게 해야 한다. 그러면 가장 풍성한 축복이 그들의 상급이 될 것이고, 그들은 영적으로 성숙해지고, 지식이 증가하게 될 것이다. 그들이 이 땅에 거하는 동안에, 그들은 영적인 재물을 모으고 분배할 수 있게 될 것이다. 그들은 언젠가 풍성한 보물을 가지고 영원으로 들어갈 수 있게 될 것이다. 그들은 모든 유혹에 저항하게 될 것이다. 왜냐하면 지식이 그들에게 주어지면, 그들에게 또한 힘이 주어지고, 지식은 빛이고 힘이기 때문이다.

그러므로 그들은 어떤 종류의 도전에도 저항할 수 있게 될 것이다. 그들은 점점 더 긴밀하게 하나님을 갈망하게 될 것이고, 그들이 하나님의 은혜의 공급을 더 많이 활용할수록, 항상 더 열심으로 하나님께 향하게 될 것이다. 그들이 원하는 것을 그들은 유휴 상태로 두지 않고, 자신들에게 사랑스럽고 귀하게 된, 이런 축복을 또한 이웃사람들에게 주기를 원하게 될 것이다. 그들은 자신이 받은 가르침을 사랑으로 전할 것이다. 기밀한 기도가 이런 역사에 함께 한다면, 그들은 축복을 받을 것이다.
