Inner humility.... fight against spiritual arrogance....

People truly fall behind in their spiritual development if they do not endeavour to show inner humility, for then they lack grace, and without grace their will to ascend is weakened. For then their nature is still arrogant and still favoured by God's adversary. Anyone who lacks inner humility will also rarely accept a divine teaching if it is imparted to him by his fellow human being, for his arrogant spirit will defend itself against it through the influence of the adversary. And divine teachings strengthen the power to resist as soon as they are willingly accepted. Consequently, that person's power of resistance is only slight. There is still too much of the spirit in him which is to be overcome, the human being still has too many shortcomings which characterize his imperfection. Nor will he be meek and patient as long as he does not want to bow down to the one Whose approach he is supposed to strive for. For God cannot unite with a being that still harbours the arrogant spirit of its creator. Man must wage a constant battle with this arrogant spirit within himself, he must educate himself to humility through service, he must strengthen his will to do what seems unfeasible to him.... to bow down and serve where he wants to rule. He must take an example from his divine saviour, Whose life was one of service in love, service in the deepest humility towards His fellow human being. If a person endeavours to follow Jesus then he will also practice inner humility, he will fight all arrogance, he will incessantly ask for God's grace to do so and the strength to carry out his plan will come to him.... he will serve and thereby develop to the heights....

Humildade interior.... Luta contra a arrogância espiritual....

As pessoas realmente ficam aquém do seu desenvolvimento espiritual se não fazem um esforço para serem humildes interiormente, pois então lhes falta graça e sem graça a sua vontade de ascender é enfraquecida. Pois então a sua natureza ainda é arrogante e ainda inclinada para o adversário de Deus. Quem lhe falta humildade interior também raramente aceitará o ensinamento divino se lhe for transmitido pelo seu semelhante, pois o seu espírito arrogante resiste a ele, devido à influência do adversário. E os ensinamentos divinos fortalecem o poder da resistência assim que são aceitos de bom grado. Consequentemente, o poder de resistência dessa pessoa é apenas ligeiro. Ainda há muito do espírito nele que deve ser superado, o ser humano ainda tem demasiados defeitos que caracterizam a sua imperfeição. Nem será gentil e paciente, desde que não queira curvar-se a Ele, cuja abordagem deve esforçar-se por alcançar. Pois Deus não pode unir-se a um ser que ainda carrega em si o espírito arrogante do seu produtor. O ser humano deve travar uma batalha constante com este espírito arrogante dentro de si, deve educar-se para a humildade através do serviço, deve fortalecer a sua vontade de fazer o que lhe parece impraticável.... para se curvar e servir onde ele gostaria de governar. Ele deve tomar um exemplo do seu divino Redentor, cuja vida foi um único serviço no amor, um serviço na mais profunda humildade para com o seu semelhante. Se uma pessoa se esforça para seguir Jesus, também praticará humildade interior, lutará contra toda a arrogância, pedirá constantemente a graça de Deus e a força para realizar a sua intenção virá até ele.... ele vai servir e assim se desenvolver para cima...._>Amém
