Inner humility.... fight against spiritual arrogance....

People truly fall behind in their spiritual development if they do not endeavour to show inner humility, for then they lack grace, and without grace their will to ascend is weakened. For then their nature is still arrogant and still favoured by God's adversary. Anyone who lacks inner humility will also rarely accept a divine teaching if it is imparted to him by his fellow human being, for his arrogant spirit will defend itself against it through the influence of the adversary. And divine teachings strengthen the power to resist as soon as they are willingly accepted. Consequently, that person's power of resistance is only slight. There is still too much of the spirit in him which is to be overcome, the human being still has too many shortcomings which characterize his imperfection. Nor will he be meek and patient as long as he does not want to bow down to the one Whose approach he is supposed to strive for. For God cannot unite with a being that still harbours the arrogant spirit of its creator. Man must wage a constant battle with this arrogant spirit within himself, he must educate himself to humility through service, he must strengthen his will to do what seems unfeasible to him.... to bow down and serve where he wants to rule. He must take an example from his divine saviour, Whose life was one of service in love, service in the deepest humility towards His fellow human being. If a person endeavours to follow Jesus then he will also practice inner humility, he will fight all arrogance, he will incessantly ask for God's grace to do so and the strength to carry out his plan will come to him.... he will serve and thereby develop to the heights....

L'humilité intérieure - la lutte contre l'arrogance spirituelle

Les hommes qui ne s'appliquent à aucune humilité intérieure, resteront vraiment en arrière dans leur développement spirituel, parce qu'alors il leur manque la Grâce et sans celle-ci leur volonté pour la Hauteur est trop faible, parce qu'alors leur être est encore arrogant et tourné vers l'adversaire de Dieu. Celui qui manque d'humilité intérieure, n'acceptera jamais un Enseignement divin, lorsqu’il est transmis par le prochain, parce que son esprit arrogant se rebelle contre celui-ci du fait de l'influence de l'adversaire. Les Enseignements divins renforcent la Force pour la résistance dès qu’ils sont acceptés volontairement. Par conséquent la force de résistance d’un tel homme ne pourra être qu’insuffisante. Il y a encore en lui trop d'esprit qui doit être dépassé, l'homme a encore trop de manques qui marquent son imperfection. Il ne sera ni docile ni patient tant qu’il ne voudra pas se plier devant Celui auquel il doit tendre pour s'en approcher, parce que Dieu ne peut pas S'unir avec un être qui porte encore en lui l'esprit arrogant de son parent. L'homme doit mener une lutte constante avec l'esprit arrogant en lui, il doit s'éduquer à l'humilité au travers du service, il doit fortifier sa volonté à faire ce qu'il lui semble infaisable, à se plier et à servir là où il voudrait dominer. Il doit prendre exemple dans son divin Rédempteur dont la Vie a été seulement de servir dans l'Amour, de Servir dans la plus profonde Humilité envers Son prochain. Si l'homme s’efforce de prendre la succession de Jésus, alors il exercera lui aussi l'humilité intérieure, il combattra chaque arrogance, il demandera pour cela sans interruption la Grâce de Dieu et la Force lui arrivera pour exécuter son but, il servira et avec cela il progressera dans son développement vers le Haut.
